Chapter 9 - 9. Five Years Passed

Today, after closing the minimarket, Marry took Natasha to her house. After knowing what happened to the girl, she became very sorry for the poor girl.

Mary's house is not luxurious. The house is very simple but very neat and clean. Natasha was silent when she was invited to enter Merry's house. She could hardly believe that people in this world were kind to her. After she was evicted arbitrarily by the owner of the apartment.

"Sit down first, Dear." Mary very casually asked. Mary was not a gentlewoman. Her voice was a little loud, but she treated Natasha well.

Her attitude is also not gentle like a mother to her child, but maybe that is her character. After all, Mary still helps Natasha. Natasha also sat while occasionally looking at the condition of Marry's house.

"Sleep here. I'll prepare food for you," said Marry.

"Mrs. Marry, you don't have to bother. You've been very good to me. I don't want to trouble you..."

Merry's hand pounded on the table. Natasha was quite surprised and thought Mary was angry with her.

"I know you don't want to be pitied, but you're near me. I'm not obligated to help you. If I let you, then I'm called not human. Humans have to live the right way. Maybe I'm not a good human being. Only one in my life!"

Mary was a little emotional. Maybe he didn't have the heart for Natasha. Who do I live like him? Abandoned by the man she loved on her wedding day, she had to bear the man's child. The man who should be responsible for her pregnancy.

Natasha looked down. She knows he is selfish. She doesn't want to trouble other people because of her life's problems. No one will understand what she is feeling right now.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Marry. I just don't want to involve anyone else in my suffering," Natasha answered quietly.

Mary saw Natasha, who had no zest for life. She walked over to her and sat beside Natasha.

"Don't talk carelessly. The child in your womb can hear what you are saying. How can you say this is suffering? Your child is a source of happiness. You will have happy days with your child," said Marry.

Natasha looked into Marry's eyes which seemed to tell her the truth. But how could she live raising this child on her own? Who will recognize them? The child will not have a father. How will she tell his child in the future?

"You don't have to think too much about what's going to happen. All the things you're worried about will never actually happen. You're going to be a mother. You have to be tough," said Marry.

Five years later.

Christian is awakened by the ringing of his cell phone. It's eight in the morning, and he hasn't woken up yet. Christian picks up his phone without looking at who is calling.

"Hello," Christian says, still reluctant to open his eyes.

"You forgot you have a meeting? The board of directors is waiting for you!" Jonas' voice was loud from behind the phone.

Christian turns to the glass clock on the wall. He looked at the clock. It was alreadyhalf past nine. Christian got up quickly. But he forgot something. He turned to the side and saw a blonde-haired woman sleeping beside him naked.

"Gosh, when did we meet?" Christian murmurs.

He got off the bed. Christian must immediately get ready to go to the office. After five years, Christian is now the CEO of his father's company Gibson Holding Company. This company is very large and has many subsidiaries. Alan Gibson asked his son to slowly enter your company after his son's condition improved, and as a result, Christian is now appointed CEO by his father. He really wants his son to continue leadership in his company.

In fact, now everything has changed. Christian becomes a handsome man, tall, dashing, and also rich. He also often goes to bars or nightclubs for entertainment. And he also now chooses to live in his own apartment. Only Jonas accompanied him, but this morning Jonas left early because he was preparing meeting materials for Christian.

"Honey, why are you so well-dressed? You don't want to go on to the second round?" The woman lying on Christian's bed had woken up and saw Christian was dressed neatly.

Christian turns. He was sure he didn't know this woman. Maybe they met at a nightclub and started flirting last night.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not your honey. You can leave now. I have to get to work," Christian says. He didn't feel any responsibility to this woman because they would only meet once.

Christian has become a jerk now. Sleep with whoever he wants. Drinking, though always controlled by Jonas. However, his condition must be monitored even though Christian has never dropped for five years. The condition is very fit. He even goes to the gym every day.

The woman is annoyed that Christian is indifferent after having sex last night. She immediately got up and put on her clothes.

Christian glances at her, slightly annoyed that he had brought a woman into his apartment carelessly. He didn't want her to come back.

"Please, don't come again. We're just making a one-night stand, Miss. Don't be too upset," Christian says.

The woman finishes with her clothes but is angry when she hears Christian's words. She immediately approached Christian and slapped his face.

Christian holds his cheek in pain. "Your hands are strong enough, Miss. But I'm not going to report this. You and I were drunk last night, and my assistant wasn't with me. So last night was just a mistake. You should know that. If you need money, I'll give it to you." Christian doesn't want to beat around the bush. He is not interested in any woman at this time. He just wants to have fun after finally living a healthy and free life.

"Just save your money for your bitches! I'm not that kind of woman!" The woman scolds Christian and then leaves. He looks very disappointed in Christian.

Christian tilts his head. He was confused why the woman should be angry? They don't even know each other.

"Was I too great last night?" Christian murmurs.

After getting ready, Christian drove his car to the Gibson Holding Company building. He didn't look in a hurry even though his phone had rung several times. Instead, he decided to stop at the cafe next to his company building. He wants to buy a few cups of coffee for his employees to meet with him.

"Excuse me, I ordered ten hot lattes. Later my assistant will pick it up. Please give me one first to drink now," Christian says as he hands over his black card.

"Okay, Sir. I'll make the payment first, and I'll make a glass for you," said the cafe employee kindly.

Christian is looking down, but he seems to hear the voice of someone familiar to him. He looks up, too, and how surprised Christian is when he sees the figure in front of him.
