Chapter 8 - Abimana's Strategy

Kinara never hope to be happy after her plan to part with Abhimana was carried out. She is so self-aware, that a woman who has failed in a marriage will certainly find it increasingly difficult to reap new happiness. A household that she believed was normal enough could fall apart, let alone start a new relationship and one that would leave her feeling exhausted from past trauma. And there is no longer any reason to procrastinate discussing the plan of divorce with her parents.

Yes, now, Kinara has decided to skip her lunch hour to go to her father's luxurious residence. After several days of being silent and keeping the harsh reality secret, Kinara finally felt that she had to tell Bram the truth. That bad news about her divorce plan would be very shocking and would hurt Bram's heart! She could not deny that risk. Once again, Kinara was so self-aware.

However, postponing the discussion of this fact for a longer period is not a good thing. It's better to feel sick earlier than later when the problem is getting bigger. Especially if Abimana looks for a loophole to thwart Kinara's efforts in the plan by manipulating reality in front of Bram and Meysa—Kinara's mother. Even though seems shameless, the possibility that Abimana will do that is still there, right? The merger between Erlangga and Diamond Palace Real Estate is still the most important to that man.

Kinara, who had been driving her private car, immediately turned towards her father's residence. Elite housing is the place she is currently headed. Magnificent and dashing houses became a sight that for Kinara was very familiar. It is even that her father's house is much more beautiful and luxurious than the house she lived in with Abimana.

Meanwhile, lunch at Bram's house had been happening since a few minutes ago. Not only Meysa—his wife—who accompanies him at this time, but also his adopted son, Angga, and also ... Abimana. At first, Bram was quite surprised by Abimana's arrival, considering that his son-in-law was always busy. Bram himself was a businessman before he handed over the company to Kinara, so understanding Abimana's situation is certainly not difficult for him, even Kinara who is his only daughter can be busier than his son-in-law.

"I heard you go to Bali, there are many important agendas there?" Bram asked Abimana, besides being a little curious, he was trying to break the silence.

Abimana immediately looked at Bram, and not long after he put a smile on his lips. "That's right, Dad," he replied, nodding his head. "I have indeed been in Bali the last few days. There are many meetings and corporate events that I cannot leave, Father. Too bad I can't go to this beautiful island with Kinara. I am very sorry, Father, for tending to leave Kinara alone."

Bram smiled. "It's okay as long as you still treat my daughter very well. Kinara is very special. Extraordinarily special. She will understand you better than anyone else."

Bram's words made Abimana immediately smile cynically. Understand? Kinara? Not. Bram is wrong. Kinara is almost like a robot that can't be joked with. At the beginning of the marriage, Abimana had tried to give sweet and romantic words, but Kinara's response was far from expectations, which ultimately made Abimana ashamed of himself.

This was the initial reason for Abimana to start looking for an outlet. He loves Kinara, or maybe he tends to admire his wife. However, the feeling of loneliness made Abhimana finally decide to cheat. And for him, cheating is a natural thing. Any businessman would do it, maybe even Bram had played behind Meysa.

"What about the program to have children? Have you done it? It's been a year since you got married, it's impossible for you to still procrastinate, right? You and Kinara are not young anymore, Son," said Meysa.

Discussions about children or rather the first grandchild have always been the topic that Meysa is most interested in when she meets Abimana or Kinara. According to Meysa, Kinara who is 35 years old, and Abimana last week who is one year older than his wife, are no longer appropriate for procrastinating about having children. The fact also says that they too have successfully served as leaders in their respective family companies. Prove that material problems are not difficult for them.

However, Abimana also realized that it would still be difficult. During his one year of marriage with Kinara, the time he met at home with his wife was fairly small. Especially after his affair with Bianca is known by Kinara, Kinara will certainly continue to refuse to spend the night with him. Right now, Abimana doesn't know whose plan will succeed. His wife's plans for divorce, or his plans not to divorce.

"I just want to do what Kinara wants, Mom. Because she will be the one who will give birth to our child. Wouldn't it be good if Abimana not forced her?" said Abimana then smiled sweetly, as sweet as his words which were just falsehoods. He became a selfish man who did not want to be in a position of guilt.

Meysa sighed. "But, looks like Kinara already wants a baby. So, there's nothing for you to doubt anymore, right? Especially you, Abi."

There was a sudden attack that hit Abhimana's chest. His mother-in-law seemed suspicious of him. Meysa's eyes stared at Abimana accusingly, which of course made Abhimana feel uncomfortable. And it's true, that Meysa found something strange. From her previous meeting with Kinara, then now she met Abimana. They seem not compact. Meysa's instincts as a mother, even though she is old, must still be sensitive. It seems that something is wrong.

"I met Kinara not too long ago. And she has confirmed that her womb is fine, Abi. It's just that she didn't say anything about the pregnancy program." Meysa gave a second attack that was difficult for Abimana to avoid. "Your condition is fine, aren't you?"

Abimana swallowed saliva. "That... of course I'm fine, Mom, and—"

"Mom, don't be like that. Who knows, God hasn't given them offspring yet," said Bram. "Never mind eating, it's good to talk about good things, things that don't cause new problems. For example Angga's school."

Angga, who was silent from the start, was startled because his adoptive father suddenly said his name. "I'll get good grades so I can get into the best university, Dad," he said without being asked at all.

"I always expected that, Angga. And it's better if you choose the university where your sister went to school."

"I'll try, Daddy!"

Discussions about universities that will become candidates for new schools for Angga continue. Bram said a few things about business class, or the arts which he recently found out to be very interesting in the child he had adopted since that child was five years old. His conversation with Angga was very warm.

But of course, that warmth was not felt by Abimana who already felt strange after his mother-in-law gave him an accusing look. According to the story, Meysa is a smart woman. Even though she is almost 60 years old, Meysa is not senile yet, instead, she tends to stay young and healthy. Abimana had assessed that Kinara was very similar to Meysa. It's just that sometimes Meysa is much warmer and more motherly than his that daughter, except in moments like this.

"Abimana ...? Does he think he can persuade me by attracting the hearts of my parents?" Not far from the luxurious dining room, Kinara stood. Her presence was not yet known by the rest of the dining room. However, she had heard everything her father, mother, younger brother, and husband had to say. "Has he forgotten how ambitious I am? I can do anything for my mission, especially the mission to destroy you. Even if my decision will disappoint my Dad and Mom ...."

Kinara gritted her teeth, and at the same time, she clenched her both palms. The anger inside her was already growing, which soon prompted her to take a stand. Yes, in the end, Kinara started to walk. She walked into the dining room. So, what will Kinara do? Would Kinara spill a hot soup in the basin on her husband's cursed face?
