Chereads / Villain Turning Point Mission / Chapter 20 - Unexpected Answer

Chapter 20 - Unexpected Answer

The witch didn't answer and she continued doing the disturbing thing to herself. Her body trembled violently. Rohan could even hear the annoying sound of her teeth grinding against each other.

Rohan's brows furrowed even more as he watched the witch's fingers move deeper and deeper into her eye sockets. Then, her finger moved as if it had grabbed something and pulled it out.

The eyeball was already in Helena's hand. She pulled the ping-pong-ball-shaped object until its veins broke and splattered blood.

Rohan rubbed his cheek with his thumb. He looked down at the blood on his finger, and clicked his tongue.

"What are you doing actually?" he asked again with a mumble as he stared at the witch in front of him.

Helena didn't answer. She just gasped, couldn't cry anymore. One of her eyelids was closed in a slightly sunken shape because there was no longer an eyeball holding it.

Not only that. When the eyeball was completely out of her head, she crushed the ball object she was holding.

With a furrowed brow, Rohan stared at Helena's severely shaking hand that reached out in front of him. Slowly, the palm opened.

At first, Rohan only saw a collection of blood, flesh and eyeball cells in her palm. He thought the witch had gone mad because she had received a great betrayal and faced her death at the same time.

But a second later, Rohan's eyes catch something gleaming green.

"Power.. stone.." Helena's weak voice made Rohan stare at her half-bloodied-face.

"In here.. I can.. only trust you. I.. can see it. Your heart.. You can.. be trusted. Please.. take care of this.." Blood continued to gush from her mouth and nose as she spoke.

When Rohan picked up the tiny object, Helena's hand, which had been floating in the air, fell along with her body, which had no more power to stay sitting.

It was a bluish-green stone shard that glowed slightly. The shard was tiny that it could even be placed on the edge of Rohan's index finger.

"What is this?"

Rohan turned back to the witch Helena only to find that she was dead with her opened eye and blood still gushing out. All the wounds on her body seemed to be getting wider and deeper.

The bacteria were indeed eating her away from within. Maybe her body would disappear in the next few hours. Jenzigh's superpower was indeed terrifying.

Rohan looked at the witch. Unconsciously, he let out a long sigh. A feeling he couldn't explain was pressing against his chest.

"I don't know why you gave this to me. But according to my promise, I will keep this thing as a part of you," Rohan said.

With his finger, he closed Helena's half-open eyelid. "Go home to your ancestors and family,"

This may sound funny to the ears of the villain. But all this time, Rohan believed that the body was moved by an immortal soul. It may not be visible, but where did each creature go when its body was dead?

Coming out of the confinement room, Rohan left the witch's body to be decomposed by bacteria. Again, he ended up on the balcony, staring at the endless space.

The tiny stone shard was between Rohan's two fingers. He stared at it in front of his one eye with the other eye closed.

Although the stone shard looked somewhat transparent, light from around could not penetrate it. It emitted its own light even though it was placed in a dark place.

Rohan touched his arm cover to call out the smart screen. He tapped it once and a small, thin rectangular piece came out from the cover.

When Rohan picked it up, it turned into a paper-thin eyeglass which only had one lens. He put the object in his right eye, then stared at the stone shard in his palm.

The gadget eyeglass screened the tiny object. After loading for about five seconds, Rohan's eye saw a line of information floating beside the glowing shard.

Magical Power Stone.

Type: Unknown

Origin: Land of Wizards

Age: 12 million years

Status: Lost

Power: Unlimited, Small amount, Active

Rohan's brow furrowed. He couldn't believe his eyes.

Magical Power Stone? He thought such a stone was just a random myth. Even, for thousands of years, no one had ever seen the stones directly.

Treasure hunters had given up looking for them hundreds of years ago, and now the stones were considered nonsense stuff.

The information about the stones was still uncertain and confusing.

Now, Rohan understood why the witch Helena kept this tiny stone shard in her eyeball. She made this shard a part of herself in order to protect it.

Rohan didn't know if this applied to only the stone that was part of this shard or if all Power Stones were actually kept by wizards all this time.

Witches were known as parasites. They used magic for evil and from the beginning, were the lowest caste of the wizarding kingdom that had now disappeared without a trace.

It was likely that the Helena clan had stolen this stone shard and kept it for millions of years for generations.

But as Rohan knew, power stones would give extraordinary powers to the person who used them. Then, why did Helena even get caught by Jaster's team? Did she not use the power of this stone shard or was the magic of the magical power stones just a stupid tale?

Rohan didn't know what the reason was, but he would surely try the efficacy of this stone shard now.

After looking around to make sure no one was watching, Rohan pointed the stone in front of his lower chest. Rohan's clothes seem to form a line. And then, the line split open.

Purple light emanated from the open hole of the split line. Like all Helomus, Rohan had space inside his solar plexus to store and manipulate core balls.

But what made Rohan different from most of the villains was that he only had one core ball inside him; which was his own.

The villains would keep the core balls belonging to other Helomus which they used as workers to make them obey. Rohan thought that he was powerful enough that he didn't need any subordinates to this extent.

Rohan removed his fingers from the power stone shard, leaving it floating in the air and moving into his core room.

As soon as the door to Rohan's core room closed, he began to feel a change in his core. His eyes widened. He raised his hand forward and pointed his palm to the front.

Quickly, his entire hand glowed blue. His two eyes were aiming at one of the asteroids hovering hundreds of kilometres in front of him.

Then, at a speed, his hand shot out a flash of huge blue lightning and hit the asteroid half the size of the spaceship he was travelling on. The attack caused the asteroid to shatter into about twenty pieces.

The light in Rohan's hand dimed, but his eyes were still wide. He stared at his hand in disbelief. He had never produced such a large amount of electricity. He might be able to blow up a small planet if he tried a little harder.

To be honest, Rohan didn't expect much that the tiny shards of stone could be absorbed by his body because Helomus' body couldn't absorb the power of the core ball they kept.

The Helomus whose core balls were in another Helomus' core room would not lose their power unless the core balls were destroyed along with their lives.

Helomus holding core balls belonging to other Helomus could turn off, turn on, regulate the strength of the prisoner's superpower and even destroy the core ball. However, they could not absorb and use the core balls they were keeping.

He thought that magical power stones could only be controlled by magic users or by using special machines that had never even been created in history. But, he didn't know that a Helomus' core room could absorb the power of a magical power stone!

No one should know about this. Out of his expectation before, Helena might be the answer to the disappointment he received from all the ruffians around him.

Magical power stones did exist and Rohan had the shard. Now, his strength was ten times stronger than usual. This was the answer to his previous question.

He had found an opening to become the ruler of the universe!
