Chapter 25 - CHAPTER 25

Thus, she got new customers as well, and with Cecilia's exaggerations, more people were attracted. Making the business bloom.

The next day, she went to her working place where she delivered chickens to her employees as usual and set aside some, which she would take home to give to Janet and her friends.

As for the customers online, she would still deliver to them as long as they keep on ordering. Diamond, seeing how stressful this could be, especially when she had to deal with the foundation operations, decided to hire someone to manage this poultry business on her behalf.

After that, Diamond met with the head accountant and discussed the amount of money that was needed to help the school they went to last time.

"After getting the quotation from several companies, the amount of money that is needed to help renovate the school and build a few new buildings would require ****** but if we take it slow and build at least one building at a time, we may need A$1 million for a two-story building with six classrooms, three classrooms on each floor. The construction company with the lowest quotation is willing to build a restroom for the kids as well."

"Or we can renovate the school, but it will be best if we just build something for the kids. We can build more in the future; we all want the best for the kids."

Diamond nodded her head as she read through the documents that had been submitted by the man. She couldn't help but praise the staff, especially the accountants. They had looked into this so deeply and managed to find even the most affordable construction company.

Of course, it would be a bit bad if the service provided was bad, but Diamond would make sure that they wouldn't joke about something that serious. If needed, they could still add more money if that could change everything.

She listened for some time before she responded, "Okay, I guess we should meet with that construction company and discuss more about this. What about the other procedures?"

"We have already looked into them. As long as we discuss with the mayor, the government will accept our help with open arms. And this will be a chance for our foundation to be known out there."

Diamond nodded her head upon hearing that, "That's perfect then. Let's proceed with the plans. We better start as soon as possible. I don't want this project to be affected by the rain."

The two talked for a while before the man left. When he left, she met with the counselors who reported on their progress. She was very glad that some of the girls from the school called the counselors and they were opening up.

Apart from that, some people voluntarily walked into the building on their own and some of them had been scheduled for appointments.

People are curious by nature, so it was understandable that some would walk into the building to ask what they were doing and that was how people started to know more about the foundation.

At the end of the day, Diamond took some of the chicken back home, which she handed over to Janet. She also had Janet store some chickens for their own consumption at home.

There was still a lot of meat in the fridge. After all, she didn't just eat only chicken, but other meat as well.

Diamond stayed up late in her study as she looked into the construction company that her foundation had set its eyes on. She just couldn't trust such a huge project in a company she didn't know much about.

At around eleven, she stretched her body as she left the study. Although it was late, she still had to soak her body so that she could sleep well.

As she soaked her body in a medicated bath, she signed in as usual. She realized that it didn't matter where she signed in or what time she did, as long as she signed in, then she would get a reward.

At some point, she thought that as long as she signed in, let's say, at a real estate agency, she would get a house, but that wasn't always the case.

She tried it the other time and managed to get a house, but that didn't work out the other times she tried it. So, she decided to just sign in when she was alone and feeling comfortable.

Diamond went to bed after receiving a case of beauty products. At least she didn't need to worry about her body maintenance for years, as the beauty products she received were simply too many.

If she didn't have a storage ring to store all of that, she would have rented some warehouse or filled her basement with a lot of stuff.

The next few days were spent selling chickens and discussing the school project. She had an appointment with the construction company representative about the school, so she had to get ready for that.

Time quickly flew, and the day arrived when she had to meet with the representative.

Was she nervous?

Not really. After everything that she had gone through these past few months, she wasn't really as nervous as she used to be in the beginning.

The meeting went very smoothly, and Diamond got what she wanted. After meeting the man, she and the lawyer whom she had hired to represent the company in the meantime, after so much hustle, went to meet the mayor to talk about the school.

Just like what she expected, the man with a huge belly was very happy to hear about the good news. And although he was hinting about giving him some little something, she pretended that she didn't hear something.

She wasn't particularly in the mood to bribe anyone, especially when she wasn't getting any profits from it and besides, she was benefiting the man also, so why should she give him something?

The man was actually a bit pissed off upon seeing how he was being ignored, but what he didn't expect from the unknown girl that showed up from nowhere was how she suddenly started talking to him.
