Diamond began to listen attentively to Cindy she was quite touched seeing how cowardly Cindy actually thought of her, but it was unfortunate that she no longer needed that.
"Why are you looking for another job? Are you no longer working there?"
Cindy shook her head as she sighed, "That company is truly a damnable place. I should have left earlier, but I was too stranded and needed money. After you left they ......….."
The gossip was simply too juicy. Diamond couldn't help but eat melons as she listened.
"But seeing you now, I can tell that you don't need a job, you are probably doing much better than me," Cindy could tell that it was useless to drag Dee with her now.
"Ha ha ha, I got lucky actually. If you are looking for a job, I think I can help," Diamond's eyes couldn't help but light up.
Although Cindy was cowardly, she was truly good at her job and Diamond didn't mind having her working at the foundation or working with the farm.
"I have two different job positions right now. One is for you to work in a foundation, the salary won't be much and you will have to work with people all the time. Sometimes your weekends will be ......… and another is for you to help manage a business page and help the current employee in selling the products being sold there. The salary won't also be high but it will be enough to cover all of your expenses. What do you think?" Diamond slowly explained as she looked at Cindy.
Cindy never thought that she would be the one getting an offer and not the other way around, "umm, if I may ask if I accept any of these jobs, will I still live here or I will have to move?"
Cindy wasn't willing to leave the city at all. There was so much that she could do while being here, and leaving would go against her dreams and she didn't want that.
"You can work in the city. You don't have to move," Diamond responded.
Cindy was relieved upon hearing that, "Okay then. As much as working for a foundation sounds fun, I want to manage a business page. Is that okay?"
"Sure, we will sign the contract after I tell you more about the business."
"I would love that," Cindy was very excited.
She didn't dare ask much about how Diamond managed to do all this. Although she was cowardly, she wasn't stupid.
The reason why Diamond wanted to hire Cindy was that the other was very good at her job. Cindy has worked in almost all departments, so her experience was very rich.
So, she explained to Cindy about the farm, and what she will be required to do. As Agatha was the most experienced one in managing a business page, seeing how well she managed to sell all the chickens she threw at her in just two days, she would leave her to it.
As for Cindy, she would help with other stuff. Cindy didn't mind at all, as long as she had a job, then it didn't matter which one she had.
Since Agatha will be handling the page, Cindy will liaise with the farm and Agatha.
Cindy was happy about the job description even though it wasn't something that she had done before but hearing the benefits of the job, there was no way that she was going to reject it.
"I like it, and thank you for the offer."
"It's not a problem. I hope that we will work together well and remember that even though we know each other if you mess up, I will treat you like any other employee," Diamond decided to be straightforward with Cindy.
She didn't want the other to take advantage that they knew each other to misbehave.
Cindy didn't get angry upon hearing that but actually felt relieved. Although the two of them knew each other, they couldn't be considered very close, and she didn't want to be treated differently.
She knew how deadly favors can be at work, and she just wanted to work in peace, earn her keep, and live a better life.
Unless Diamond exposes it herself, Cindy didn't plan on letting anyone know about their relationship.
"Okay, I accept everything."
"That's perfect then. I will introduce you to Agatha tomorrow. Come to this place at eight and we will sign the contract."
The two girls left the park and walked for a while before they separated. As Cindy had found a new job, she rushed home to prepare while Diamond went home to draft an employment contract for Cindy.
At the same time, she called Agatha to inform her about her colleague who would be joining her.
At home, she got busy drafting the employment contract and when she was done; she asked A for the daily report and began to read it.
She couldn't help but sigh when she was done, "at least there is still money. At this rate, I will be broke before the year ends."
Diamond had to spend some of her personal money again. As Cindy would be in charge of transporting the chickens and helping with the farm when she wasn't helping Agatha, she needed a car, and a mini truck would do the job.
Cindy could drive anything; the little girl came to the city more prepared than anyone else.
At the same time, she didn't need to worry about office space anymore. The second floor was now ready for use and the renovations guys were doing the other floors.
That night, she signed in and was rewarded with a pretty outfit that she stored in her hidden closet where she kept all of her collections and expensive jewelry she received from the system.
The next morning, she took her morning jog, freshened up, wore a suit, and went downstairs for some breakfast. Janet was a pretty great cook, and Diamond felt very blessed every single day.
Janet knew how to spoil her every day and for that, she was grateful.
