As she was having her breakfast, she received a phone call from a friend or someone she used to talk to before she stopped working at the company that fired her.
The other girl was very lovely and friendly to her. Her only issue was that she was just a bit cowardly, so it was very hard for her to stand up for anyone.
She was quite surprised to hear from the other and wondered what she wanted.
In the end, she agreed to meet. Since she was going out for some fun, she might spend some time with someone as well.
And since she was no longer going out to play by herself, there was no need for her to bring out her fancy cars, which would only scare the others away.
There was also another possibility of being targeted too, and she didn't want that at all.
So, to be safe, she was going to take a cab and pretend to be at least ordinary. And by no means necessary, was she going to expose herself.
One hour later, she was in a cab listening to the driver talking about the current events in society. She was amused all the way.
Forty-something minutes later, she was walking in town. And on her way to the café where she was going to meet Cindy.
She took out her phone before making a call to Cindy, "I will be there in like three minutes."
[...]
"Sure."
She hung up her phone and put it back in her bag. Diamond was an attractive person and with her wearing a baby yellow dress with her long hair tied into a simple ponytail, she received a lot of attention.
To be honest, at first, it was quite hard for her to walk normally as people kept staring at her. But after a long time, she was now used to it. She learned how to embrace her beauty and accept herself.
Instead of feeling burdened with it, she might as well accept it and be happy with it.
Why hide when she was now beautiful? That was what she did when she was still ugly.
Wouldn't that be an insult to the heavenly blessings that were showered on her?
[Isn't she so beautiful? I wonder which family's daughter she is!]
[It will be great if she is a celebrity. We can get to see her.]
[She is a s****. Its faces like these that ruin people!]
[….]

She quickly found the café Cindy talked about. And just like any other customers entering, the welcome was very warm.
Cindy told her that she was running late, but she would be there in like five. So she decided to wait for Cindy and at the same time have some drink and cake.
"Welcome, how may I help you?" the lady at the counter kindly asked.
Diamond flashed a smile at the lady and answered, "Give me a slice of strawberry cake and a glass of orange juice."
"Okay."
Diamond paid for her order and waited for just a minute or so before she went to sit down at an empty table to wait for Cindy.
While waiting for Cindy, she took photos of the food and some selfies, before posting them on her moments and her personal page.
as soon as she was done uploading, Cindy walked into the café and quickly spotted her, "Dee, is that you?"
Diamond chuckled seeing Cindy's reaction. How could Cindy not be shocked? She used to hide her face because of that rash. It has been a long time since people saw what her face really looked like.
But there were people that she was a bit comfortable with and didn't mind exposing her face once in a while to get some fresh air.
"Yes, it's me. Get something to eat and come and join me!"
Cindy quickly gathered her thoughts and went to make an order and soon she was sitting with Diamond and looking at her as if she was looking at some alien.
"Can you tell me what's going on with you? It's been a few months and you are like this. What happened to you?" Cindy asked anxiously her eyes filled with so much curiosity.
Diamond chuckled seeing this. She could see that Cindy meant no harm, especially now, so she didn't mind telling the other a white lie she had told many others before.
"After I left the company, I went home for some rest. I was lucky enough to come across some traditional healer who gave me herbs and after taking them for a couple of days, the rash was gone and I was like this."
Cindy was a bit naïve and her mind wasn't calculative, so she believed Diamond immediately, "really? That's good then. I am happy for you."
Diamond nodded her head slightly with a smile pasted on her face, "Umm, thank you a lot, neh. So why do you want to meet today?"
Cindy giggled softly and began to play with the fork, "Let's eat first, and then we will talk."
"Okay," Diamond agreed and began to dig into her food as well.
It took the girls around ten minutes to be done, and they both left the café.
"Let's go to the playground. It's a bit quieter there!" Cindy suggested, and Diamond agreed.
Diamond didn't know what Cindy wanted to talk about, but she hoped that it wasn't that serious.
When they arrived at the playground, they found an unoccupied bench and they both sat down. Diamond looked at Cindy and asked since she was tired of waiting, "So are you going to tell me what's going on?"
Cindy was a bit embarrassed, actually. After all, she had not seen Diamond for some months. She should have at least talked to the other before, but she kept on procrastinating.
And now, seeing that the other was doing well, she was very happy and at the same time, she felt like the purpose she came here for was for naught.
"To be honest, I wanted to check with you and see if you found a job yet. If you haven't, I wanted to recommend you to the place where I will be trying. They are looking for ......."
