Stella Spent the day resting in her room relaxing and doing some light work on her computer. She had forgotten how nice It was to relax and unwind. Stella even got to bed at a good time ending a nice relaxing day.
"Stella." Samael said, as he woke her up.
"What is it?" Stella asked as she woke up.
"Your uncle is here and she wants to see you." Samael said as he moved out of the way as Stella stretched.
"My uncle?" Stella asked as she finished her stretch.
"Yes he is downstairs right now." Samael said as he walked over to her desk and picked up a sealed drink. He then turned and handed it to her.
"What is this?" Stella asked when she took the drink from him.
"Your uncle looked like he was going to take you somewhere so I prepared a meal replacement drink" Samael said as he started to walk to the door.
"Thanks. I will get ready and head down to see my uncle." Stella said as she got out of bed.
"I will let him know you will be down shortly." Samael said as he walked out the door and closed it behind him.
Stella walked into her closet and looked over her outfits. She looked at them and wondered what outfits Samael had worn, she enjoyed having their outfits match. But she could not remember what color he was wearing. After a couple of moments she gave up on trying to think about it and grabbed an outfit.
She had put on a light brown dress that had darker brown flowers along its bottom. Before Stella left the room she grabbed a light jacket that matched the dress and left the room. Stella did not waste time and walked straight to the main room.
In the main room there was a man standing in the middle of the room. He had on a tan suit with a matching tie and vest. Stella knows it was uncle Mark, she remembers him for he always wore the color tan. Mark was her father's cousin, But she had always referred to him as her uncle.
"Uncle Mark, what are you doing here so early in the morning?" Stella said as she started to walk down the stairs.
"I am here to take you out shopping and for lunch. I wanted to give you a great birthday gift, for I will not be able to see you for the party." Mark said as he turned around and looked at Stella.
"I had almost forgotten that my birthday was later this week." Stella said with a smile.
"Perfect I am glad I got to remind you in time. You know when you are young you need to enjoy the little things." Mark said as he gave Stella a hug.
"Well I am glad that you are here to remind me." Stella said as Mark released her from the hug.
"Not a problem. And I must say your guard is an interesting one. But he is polite so that is all that matters." Mark said as he moved a little so Stella could see Samael standing near the front door.
Samael had on a midnight black suit with dark gray vest and black tie, he also had on his trench coat. There were two other guards standing near him but he stood out. The other guards were in back two piece suits.
"Yes, Samael is a great person. He has already shown that he prioritizes my well-being above all else." Stella said with a smile.
"Well that is good, but I have heard that he may overestimate what he can do." Mark said as he looked over at him and crossed his arms.
"Where did you hear that?" Stella asked, looking back at Mark.
"Jannet told me that he got you into some hot water when you were on your date with Tristan. Stella you need to thank your aunt Jannet she had to convince Tristan to not take action against you." Mark said with a concerned look on his face.
"Uncle, Tristan was the one that wanted to stop me from leaving, I just." Stella said but was cut off.
"Stella, you don't have the backing from the company and your father can only protect you for so long. Just remember sometimes it is not a good idea to keep a loose cannon around." Mark said as he put his hand on Stella's shoulder.
"Thanks, I will keep that in mind." Stella said, thinking about what she should do.
"But let's go shopping." Mark said as he started to walk to the door. Samael and another guard opened up the doors for Mark and Stella to leave. Outside there were three black vehicles waiting for them.
"You are prepared today." Stella said, trying to take her mind off what her uncle had told her.
"I always do. But I think it would be best if we just took my guards today Stella." Mark said as he looked back at Samael.
"But" Stella tried to speak but Mark started to talk again.
"I already know what you are going to say. Trust me you will be fine, I will be right here with you." Mark said as he walked around to the other side of the vehicle.
"Samael." Stella said sheepishly.
"What do you need?" Samael said as he stood in front of Stella.
"I will be ok without you today, just get some rest." Stella said as she turned around so she would not be facing him.
"If that is what you want." Samael said as he took off his trench coat.
"It is," Stella said as the other guard opened the vehicle door.
"It may rain today, so don't catch a cold." Samael said as he placed his trench coat on Stella. He then turned around and walked back to the front door as Stella got into the vehicle. He watches the vehicles leave the property, after the gates where closet Samael walked back into the house.
Stella and Mark visited several high end stores. Mark would buy several things for Stella in each store. They even got lunch at a penthouse restaurant, It was a thoughtful gift for Stella never spent money on herself like this.
Samael had not remained at the manor for long, he had changed clothes into his combat pants and black t-shirt before leaving. He made his way back into the alleyways, twisting and turning through the pathways one after the other. Samael moved fast, he knew exactly where he was going.
It was something he did not know if he would ever need again. But he had his orders to follow and that was all he needed. Sometimes you have to ignore one order to follow another.
"The ends justify the means." Samael said to himself as he looked up at a building. After he finished his words he started to scale the building. He moved up the building grabbing ledges and small hand holds till he reached the thirtieth floor. There was a set of decorative statues that surrounded the building, he stopped near one and reached behind it.
There was a black bag tucked behind the statue. After getting the bag Samael descended down the building. When he got back onto the ground and set the bag onto a trash can and unzipped the main pocket. He pulled out a small phone and turned it on. After a loading bar filled up the screen turned on and showed a map of the city. Two dots appear on the map, one a roadway moving at 80kmh and the other was not moving in an alleyway.
"Where are we heading to now?" Stella asked as she looked out the window of the vehicle.
"I got a message from Jannet, she said that Tristan would like to meet you again today so you can finish your date." Mark said as he put his phone down.
"Uncle, I don't want anything to do with him." Stella said, looking back at Mark.
"It is just dinner Stella. Have a meal with him and I will take you home." Mark said not looking over at Stella.
"And what if I leave when we get there?" Stella asked.
"That won't be happening. I know you don't want to do this. But life is not always about doing what you want and sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do." Mark said as he looked back at his phone. Stella did not know what to say anymore. She should have seen this coming, Jannet was Mark's wife after all.
The car ride was silent until they got to the Aries building. The vehicles park and a guard opens the door for Stella. There were several guards outside making it impossible for her to just run. As she walked into the building she moved Samael's trench coat so it was more covering her up. It was only at this moment that she wished Samael was here with her.
"Looks like they have stopped," Samael said as he opened the second pocket of the bag. He reached into the bag and pulled out a pistol. It had seen many battles, the outer coating was heavily worn down and the barrel was blued at the tip from overheating. He held it like an old friend looking over the finish before turning it over. On the right side of the pistol it had 231 etched into the slide.
Samael grabbed the back of the slide and pulled it back. It slid back like it was brand new, the only resistance was the single slide return spring that was wrapped around the barrel. He looked down the barrel seeing the perfectly preserved rifling on the inside. After seeing the rifling he released his grasp letting the slide fly forward chambering a round.
The pistol was made for shock troops, it was unwieldy. Front heavy with no magazine and rear heavy with one. The only controls were a magazine release and trigger, they limited parts to stop breakdown and jams. No thought was given to user comfort and they packed a massively powerful round into this pistol.
It used a solid explosive casing to propel a 250 grain hardpoint penetrator to a screaming 760 m/s. It had the accuracy and power of a normal rifle but from a handgun. After inspecting his pistol he reached back into the bag and took out a drop leg holster and attached it onto his right thigh, holstering the pistol after it was attached.
He then reached back into the bag and pulled out two double mag pouches with magazines in them. He attached them to his left hip, checking the spacing so he could easily get them. Samael then attached the phone to his right forearm with a strap and case from the bag tightening it down so it would not move. As he walked away from the trash can he put the bag onto his back.
" I am glad we could come to an agreement," Tristan to someone on the phone as Stella and Mark walked into the lobby. After seeing them walk in, Tristan hung the phone up.
"I hope we are not interrupting." Mark said as Tristan walked over.
"Not at all, I hope this will be the start of a great partnership." Tristan said as he shook Mark's hand.
"Yes it will be and with your help we can bring the Godwin company to new heights." Mark said as they finished the hand shake.
"Well, let's wait till the new product launches. But nice to see you again Stella." Tristan said as he looked over at Stella.
"With you working with my family it is no surprise my uncle and aunt wanted me to come see you again." Stella said, crossing her arms under the trench coat.
"It is not their fault, they just want to see you with someone with a promising future. You can't fault them for that. I also see that your mad man is not here, that is good." Tristan said with a smile.
"Yes, your date will not be interrupted again." Mark said, prompting Stella to look over at him.
"That is correct. You can leave now Mark." Tristan said, looking Mark right in his eyes.
"I was going to wait till you two," Mark had started talking but was cut off.
"I said you can leave Mark." Tristan said as he guards took several steps forward.
"Well, I will leave you alone. Don't forget to get her home safe." Mark said as he started to walk away.
"Uncle?" Stella said as she watched him walk away. He did not even turn around to look at her.
"Lets go to my office, no one will bother us there, and we can finish our discussion." Tristan said as he gestured to the elevator.
"And if I don't want to?" Stella said, turning back around to look at Tritan.
"It was not a question." Tristan said as two of his guards walked up behind Stella.
"Fine." Stella said as she started to walk to the elevator.
"See, be a good girl and everything will be ok." Tristan said as he turned and put his hand on Stella's hips to walk next to her. Stella clenched her teeth when Tristan touched her, but she did not say anything. They got into the elevator along with two of the guards.
"Don't worry, it will only be as bad as you make this." Tristan whispered into Stella's ear.
