After shooting the driver in the head, Samael grabbed the wheel keeping the vehicle from swerving. He carefully pulled the vehicle over and got out. The school was just down the street but Samael could see the front gate. Stella was not there.
He pulled out his phone and tried to call her. The phone did not even ring. Samael holstered his pistol and got out of the vehicle. He could hear the panic around him as people freaked out due to the gunshot.
The SUV he was in had privacy windows so it would take them some time to find the dead body. But Samael did not remain near the vehicle and started down the sidewalk. As he walked he thought about how to save Stella, he would need to get some gear and some help finding her.
"Angel, wake up." Samael thought.
"I am up. What do you need 231?" A female voice replied in Samael's head, yawning as she spoke.
"I need you to get into the traffic cameras. Target is Stella Godwin, M.I.A. (Missing in Action) in front of North Point College." Samael thought as he walked.
"Why are you so demanding? You just wake me up whenever you need something don't you?" Angel replied, sounding a little upset.
"There is a possible link to the cooperation Aries, keep that in mind." Samael thought as he turned down a different road.
"Hello? Mister bossy? How do you expect me to work like this? Over half your cybernetics are in standby. I mean come on you are not even going to turn on your ocular lens so you can see me?" Angel said, almost pouting.
"Not needed for this operation. I activated the CPI (Central processing implants) and EIM (External interfacing mesh) when I woke you up Angel. Don't be greedy." Samael said as he put his phone back into his pocket.
"I mean don't you miss me even a little?" Angel whispered into his ear.
"Angel, there is a job that needs to be done. You can have your fun later." Samael said as he stopped in front of a wall.
"Fine, you don't change at all 231. But I have the information you are looking for. I am still tracking the vehicle because it is still on the move." Angel responded as Samael put his hand on the wall.
"Thanks Angel." Samael said as he pushed and a hidden door opened up in the wall.
"Wait. What! You just thanked me? Ok I take it back, you have changed." Angel said as the door opened up and the lights turned revealing a concrete staircase leading underground.
"Everyone changes Angel. When we first met you were well behaved." Samael said as he started to descend.
"Now that is mean. I am still well behaved. Think about all the times I help by giving you a massage." Angel responded.
"Accessing my nervous system so you make me feel you touching me does not count." Samael said as he arrived at a large steel door.
"Come on. How can I touch you if I did not do that? I even gave you my first kiss." Angel said, sounding upset.
"Angel, I will put you back to sleep." Samael said as he put his hand on the center of the door.
"No. Please don't I just woke up. I have only just finished doing an information dump from the internet." Angel said loudly.
"Information dump?" Samael said as the door opened.
"I. Um. Well. Ok fine yes I looked at what has been going on. I mean how can I not? You put me to sleep after the war, it has been five years! Five!" Angel said, reminding Samael how long it has been.
"Fine but I need you to behave." Samael said as he walked into the dark room.
"Only if you turn on your ocular lens. I want to show you what I look like now." Angel said in a cute innocent voice.
"Fine I was planning on slowly activating the rest as needed. But it is better to let everything have a couple of cycles to guarantee functionality." Samael said as he closed his eyes and activated the cybernetics. He did not have to think about each one for they were a part of him, like the lungs he does not have to think about using them he just does.
"Yes thank you 231. I promise you won't be disappointed." Angel said as Samael felt someone kiss him.
He opened his eyes and saw Angel kissing him. She stopped kissing Samael, But put her arms around his neck and looked him in his eyes. Angel had Glowing Sapphire blue eyes that complimented her long snow white hair.
"Are you done?" Samael said as the rest of the information starts to display in front of his eyes.
"Come on, I know you liked it. Plus you have not even noticed the rest?" Angel said as she pressed her body against his.
"Angel. Put something on." Samael said as he started to walk forward.
"No, I don't want to." Angel said as she lifted herself up so she was off the ground and only hanging on to Samael's neck.
"You want to know something interesting, Angel?" Samael said as he stopped walking.
"Yes, what is it 231?" Angel said, getting right in front of Samael's face.
"Let me show you." Samael said as he grabbed Angel's hips lifting her away from his body. When Samael grabbed her she was shocked and left speechless. But it was short lived for Samael then dropped her on the ground and started to walk away.
"Hold on. How did you do that? You have never been able to touch me before." Angel said as she got up and moved quickly to Samael's side.
"Truth being I have always been able to do this. I just have to convert my body position into code and interject it into the same environment as your rendered body. It is easy, I just had no reason to use it." Samael said as he approached a second door that opened automatically.
"How is that fair? I have been messing with you this whole time and you could actually push me back? Think of how much fun we have been missing out on!" Angel said, grabbing Samael's arm and bringing it to her chest.
"Get the thoughts out of your head there is work to be done." Samael said as he hit the lights, prompting Angel to look at the room. The room had heavy duty concrete walls and had several lockers and doors around the room. There were also several computers and TV's on the walls for a command and control center.
"We are in the deployment bunker. I am surprised this place is still untouched." Angle said as she let go of Samael and started to walk around the room.
"After we won the war and Onix was disbanded no one would know or have access to this place so it should be untouched." Samael said as he walked over to a computer and turned it on.
"That's right. I had forgotten that we were left to die after we no longer had a job to do. Discarded like trash, an odd reward for winning the war for them." Angel said as she sat on the desk in front of Samael letting her hair cover her breasts.
"We do our job and follow orders Angel, that is what we are here for." Samael said as he placed his hand on the computer and watched as the information started to appear on his HUD (Heads up Display).
"You know sometimes I wonder if it is you or me that is the machine here." Angel said leaning so she was in front of Samael's face again.
"Whether it is biological or mechanical we are all machines in some aspects." Samael said as he watched the playback of when Stella was taken.
"So why are we watching Miss Godwin? I mean I know she gave you an order but it is not like she is with the government anymore." Angel asked as she laid onto the table and played with her hair.
"I made a decision and am following it." Samael said he opened a map and looked at the roads taken by the kidnappers.
"Interesting. You really have changed 231. I mean it is a little but change is good. We don't have command anymore meaning you're in charge." Angle said, poking Samael in his chest.
"I know this already but someone still does not listen to me." Samael said, glancing over to the still nakad Angel.
"You looked!" Angel said, quickly moving to a seated position.
"And you have not" Samael said but was cut off by Angel jumping onto him and pushing his face into her chest.
"You finally acknowledged me. We have been together for so long and this is the first time you truly looked at me." Angel said remaining clung to Samael.
"Angel. Get off." Samael said angrily, prompting Angel to immediately let go and go back to sitting on the desk.
"Sorry. I got too excited." Angel said acting cute and playing with her hair.
"It is fine. Just control yourself. But let's fix one thing." Samael said as he raised his hand and snapped his fingers. When he snapped a sapphire blue dress appeared on Angel.
"Hey, that's not fair! But, you have surprisingly good taste in dresses." Angel said, looking at the dress closer. It had a subtle pattern of white lines mimicking a circuit board all over the dress. As Angel was distracted with the new dress Samael pulled the cameras around the building the kidnappers had stopped at.
There were several fully armored men he could see outside the building. All in class four body armor and armed with military grade rifles. It would be hard for him to get into the building unnoticed, The direct approach would be the best thing. Due to them kidnapping her they should not risk hurting her.
It was a calculated risk, but every operation will have risks that need to be taken. He could count forty-five people within a day that had come and gone before they took Stella. There was not an accurate number after she arrived at the location except the guards posted outside.
"So are we going for normal tactics here 231?" Angel said as she put her arms around his neck and hugged him from behind.
"That is going to be the S.O.P.(Standard operating procedure) for this operation." Samael said as he stood up right. Angel held on to him as he stood up lifting her feet off the ground.
"Well that is going to suck, you will have to shave your head." Angel said as she pushed her check to the back of his head.
"It will grow back Angel" Samael said as he walked away from the computer and over to one of the closed doors.
"But I like you with long hair 231." Angel said softly into his ear.
"Angel, it will grow back." Samael said as he opened the door and walked in. The room was an armory with a large circular machine that was built into the center of the room's floor. The room was lined with gun racks and lockers.
"It has been a long time since you have been here." Angel said as she let go of his neck and walked around the room.
"Yes it has been a long time, This room has been silent for a long time." Samael said as he walked into the room further.
"Does it bring back memories?" Angel asked as she leaned against one of the gun racks.
"Well it should. They built all the bunkers the same meaning this does bring back memories. Hard not to when this is all I know." Samael said as he stopped in front of the locker next to Angel.
"So is it good to be home?" Angel said as Samael whipped dust off the locker revealing the numbers 231.
