Stella was shocked when she found out about the blind date from her aunt. But reality sank in for when she arrived home her father told her to go on the date. Enraged by her family trying to control her life she stayed in her room, only letting Samael in and out to deliver her meals. Even with Samael in the room she did not talk much, she did not want to go on this date and did not even want to meet this man.
"Stella, it is time to head to the restaurant. The guard at the front door told me I was not to go with you." Samael said as he walked over to Stella. She had on a Blood red dress with matching dark ruby jewelry. To go with her outfit she had a black coat that covered the more revealing parts of her dress.
"No. They can make me go to this restaurant, but I will have you by my side." Stella said, standing up and looking at Samael.
"If that is your order, I will follow it." Samael said, taking a step back so Stella could head to the door.
"You know, you look really good in that suit I got you." Stella said, looking at what he had on. Samael had on a black suit with a dark red collared shirt. He had a black silk tie that complemented the black jacket that had matching dark red stitching. He also had on his black trench coat as a final layer to his outfit.
"I hope you like it, when you picked it out." Samael said.
"I just wish you would not use that old coat." Stella said, crossing her arms.
"I will get another coat if you want me to." Samael said, adjusting the trench coat.
"What is so special about that one?" Stella asked, as she opened the door to her room and walked out.
"This coat is one that I had used during the war." Samael said as they started to walk down the stairs.
"Wow. Then it is in great shape. It must hold a lot of sentimental value to you then." Stella said, looking at some of the scratches in the coat as she got into a black SUV.
"Not sentimental. Just practical." Samael said before closing the door to the SUV for Stella. With Stella inside the vehicle Samael made his way over to the front passenger side and got inside. With the driver in the vehicle Stella stayed silent throughout the drive to the restaurant.
The restaurant was elegantly decorated with stained wood and polished steel on the outside. The vehicle parked out front and Samael got out to open the door for Stella to get out. After Stella got out of the vehicle he closed the door and the driver drove off.
"Well there is no getting out of this now," Stella said as the vehicle drove off.
"No matter what you decide to do I will be here," Samael said as he started to escort her into the restaurant. Stella could not help but smile when she heard what Samael said.
The inside was large and gave plenty of room between tables for privacy. The tables and décor matched the Nordic theme, But were not cheap. Exotic wood and furs were at every table, lending to the theme but keeping them comfortable.
"Miss Godwin?" A waitress asked as Stella walked further inside the building.
"Yes." Stella said as she looked at the waitress.
"Your table is just over here." The waitress said as she started to lead Stella into the dining hall. They followed her as she moved to the back of the restaurant and up to the second floor. The waitress stopped in front of a VIP room and gestured to the door.
"Thank you," Stella said, as she opened the door to the VIP room. Inside the room was a large wooden table with two chairs that were covered in furs. The room overlooked the main dinner hall with a one way window giving them privacy but also a nice look at the restaurant.
"Looks like I am early." Stella said, as she walked into the room. Samael followed her in and closed the door behind them.
"It looks that way." Samael said, as he pulled out the chair furthest from the door for Stella.
"Shouldn't I be closest to the door?" Stella asked as she sat on the chair.
"No, It is better for me to know where you are and limit the places people can come from." Samael said as he stood off to her right hand side.
"Interesting, don't you think you may be overestimating yourself?" Stella said with a smirk.
"Not at all. I have cleared trenches with upward of seventy men during the war. So I am not overestimating, just calculating with the given skills I have." Samael said.
"Well I will have to have a chat with you about your skills, so I know what you can do." Stella said as the door opened.
Two individuals stepped into the room they had on black suits and looked around the room. Shortly after the two men entered the room, a third man walked in. He was much better dressed having on a royal blue suit with matching tie and vest. He was not bad looking and had short brown hair and blue eyes.
"You must be Miss Stella." The man said as he walked over to Stella.
"Yes, I am sorry but I was not given your name." Stella said as she stood up to greet him.
"That is surprising. I thought everyone in the city knew my name." He said with an arrogant laugh.
"Unfortunately I have been focusing on my studies, so I have not had much time to keep up with things in the business world." Stella said as she sat back down in the chair. After she was settled in the chair Samael pushed her chair in.
"Well I am Tristan, founder and CEO of Aries," Tristan said as he pulled out the chair and sat down.
"Well it is a pleasure to meet you Tristan," Stella said as she moved to a more comfortable position in her seat.
"Why don't we have the guards wait outside so we can have some privacy." Tristan said as he waved and his guards opened the door to leave.
"You may have your guards stay outside but Samael will remain by my side." Stella said as she held her handbag out and Samael took it from her.
"Fine, he can stay for now." Tristan said as he grabbed the menus and slid one over to Stella.
"Thank you." Stella said as she picked up the menu.
"Think nothing of it, and by the way Stella you look absolutely breathtaking," Tristan said as he looked at Stella.
"I appreciate your compliment. I think I know what I want to drink, how about yourself?" Stella said as she set the menu down on the table.
"Great. I am going to have an aged whiskey on the rocks." Tristan said as he hit the button to order.
"I will have a red wine number thirty-nine." Stella said, glancing back at the list.
"I don't normally like when women drink. But I will let it go this time." Tristan said after the order was confirmed.
"I am sorry, but we live in a modern age and it is ok for women to drink." Stella said as she crossed her arms.
"That is true, and we are all entitled to are opinions. I do like how you are a free spirit." Tristan said as the waiter arrived with the drinks.
"I do not know if I am a free spirit, I am just who I am." Stella said as she took a drink from her wine. Tristan looked almost visibly irritated.
"Well if you insist. What are your plans for the future? A beautiful woman like yourself could have the world if you wanted." Tristan said after taking a drink of his whiskey.
"At this moment I am taking it slow. I am going to be working inside my fathers company in order to gain some experience. But I do not know what I will do at the moment." Stella said, as she picked up the menu again to look at the food.
"That is surprising. I would have thought you would have had everything planned out for you already." Tristan said with a smirk.
"Well I don't like others controlling what I do." Stella said as she looked over the menu.
"It is not about controlling, it is just about listening to what is best. I mean how can a woman expect to make the right decisions?" Tristan said as he looked at the menu.
"That is definitely a way to look at it. I would have to disagree with your statement, and I believe Samael would agree with me on that." Stella said as she set down the menu.
"Well I could also have my guards agree with me. They are paid to do that." Tristan said.
"Unlike the men outside I am here to keep her safe. Even if it is from someone like you." Samael said without even looking at Tristan.
"You need to train your guards better. They should speak only when spoken to." Tristan said, setting the menu down.
"I think you should think long and hard about who you are talking to. He is not just a guard, Samael is my friend and if you can't respect that I think I am done here." Stella said as she stood up from her chair.
"Your aunt told me that you may be like this. She also said that you don't have the backing of the company so I don't think you will be leaving until this meal is finished." Tristan said as he looked at Stella's body.
"No, I think it is finished. Why don't you think about contacting me again after you have learned some basic manners." Stella said, looking at Tristan getting more angry at the situation.
"How about this? You agree to have a nice meal and evening with me and I won't have to have my guards force you to stay." Tristan said with a grin.
"I have a counter offer." Stella said, folding her arms.
"This is fun. Least hear it." Tristan said, leaning back in his chair.
"You tell your guards to let me leave, and I wont have Samael do what he does best." Stella said, looking at Samael.
"I have four highly trained men outside. You really think he can win this fight." Tristan said, as he snapped his finger prompting the guards to open the door.
"I like my odds. Samael clear the way for me please." Stella said, as she put her hand onto Samael's shoulder.
"This should be interesting." Tristan said, picking his drink back up.
"Not a problem." Samael said as he walked forward standing in front of the first guard. Samael had around three inches on the guard, they stood for a moment waiting to see how would make the first move.
The other guard attempted to throw a punch. But Samael was faster, a swift kick to a leg with enough force to take him off his feet. Was followed up with a fist to the chest. Several bones could be heard as the man's ribs gave way to the hit.
The guard swiftly fell to the floor coughing up blood as he tried to breath. The second guard was in shock and started to take a couple of steps back. Tristan's drink slipped a little in his hand. Samael wasted no time and walked up in front of the second guard.
"Move out of the way." Samael said to the guard. The man wasted no time and stepped out of the way. After the guard stepped aside Samael looked back to Stella. With Samael's back turned the other guard stepped forward and took a swing at him. The fist landed hard into his back.
But Samael did not even flinch, it was almost as if he did not land a hit. Samael wasted no time turning around and landing a blow in the man's shoulder. The force of the blow sent the guard into the wall.
Samael was not done and landed another blow to the man's head. A sickening crunch was heard with the second punch as both teeth and blood were sent to the floor. Followed by the guard landing motionless, only gurgling wheezing could be heard coming from him. Samael reaches down and uses the first guard's jacket to wipe the blood from his hands.
"Shall we go Stella?' Samael said as he stood up and looked back at her.
