Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

"Sorry," squeaked Emely looking away.

William glanced briefly at the girl, then looked back at the road that had begun to unravel its traffic jam. For the rest of the trip, they just kept silent. Then, when he arrived at his destination, William stopped his car some distance from the school, where Emely taught.

"I just brought it here." William turned his head with an even expression, but that only confused Emely.

Not wanting to bother, Emely just nodded and got out of the car. Before the boy left, he said something that added to the girl's confusion.

"Take care of my son. And I will take care of your motorbike," William said, then immediately stamped the gas without permission.

Emely was pensive, digesting William's words. But who is this man referring to?

"Miss Emily!" exclaimed Emily's students who found the teacher entering the class.

Emely gasped, then spread a smile at her students. He was ten minutes late. Luckily the students didn't make any noise outside the classroom.

Emely is an elementary school teacher. The girl is believed to hold first class. For him, the teacher is not a profession but a form of his love for children. Emely is known for her gentleness and patience until some of her students are close to the girl.

About the child that William was referring to, the girl began to be seized with curiosity. Emely just remembered that she didn't know the man's status or origin. He only knew that Willia his mother and suddenly proposed.

This time, there were many questions about William. Her decision to delay an answer for the man was the right thing to do. One week, still one week to find out who William was.

"Teacher, when do you study?" The little girl's voice with dimples woke Emely from her daydream.

Emily smirked. He squatted, level with the height of his protege. He stroked the long hair that belonged to the petite face.

"Yes, Teacher, I forgot that your children are waiting. Then, who wants to get a gift?!" As soon as the children cheered and shouted happily, Emily's daily activities began.

A knock on the door interrupted someone who was sitting propped up in his oversized chair. He was enjoying the view of the city from behind the large window.

At first, he ignored the knock. However, when he heard who was behind the door, William finally let in.

"Geez, you kept me waiting at the door!" cried the man, sitting directly in front of William who was still faithfully staring out the window.

Feeling unheard, the man threw a brown envelope.

"Forget about Nancy and start a new life," he said causing William to turn around in his oversized chair.

William still didn't respond to the words of any other than his cousin and best friend, Peter. The man chose to open the contents of the brown envelope in front of him.

Instantly his eagle eyes widened and his jaw muscles tightened. His hands shook faintly, but Peter could still see them.

"What do you expect from a woman like Nancy, Will? She's not a nice woman and I--"

"I know," William interrupted making Peter take a deep breath.

"Wonderful, I swear. What the hell did you see in Nancy? There are still a lot of women out there who are after you. Uh, even a tigress woman you like."

William glared at Peter. He didn't like his cousin's words. William wasn't ignorant, but the man loved Nancy very much. I don't know what made William crazy, but he always relented and forgave his woman's mistakes.

"Come on, Will. Forget Nancy, find the right woman for you. Don't you feel sorry for your aunt and child?"

Peter's question succeeded in loosening William's veins which had been tensed. The look turned somber. He seemed to be faced with two choices, the child and his mother or Nancy.

However, deep down, the man believed that Nancy could change. He will always wait for that change. Whatever opportunity Nancy needed, William would give it. All because he loved her so much.

"Like anything Nancy, I'm sure she will come back to me and she will change," William said confidently.

Once again Peter sighed. He really couldn't understand William's behavior. To be sure, his cousin will try to restore William as before. Yes, like before I met Nancy.

"Done!" Emely exclaimed, enthusiastic.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead and glanced at the clock on his wrist. It was almost noon, which meant that it was time to go home. The girl checked the contents of the bookshelf in her room and seemed to have neatly locked it.

Emely checked her bag and luggage, then walked out of the teacher's room. As he walked down the corridor, his eyes were fixed on two figures of small children who were still sitting on the waiting bench in front of the class.

The girl quickened her pace. His heart continued to wonder about the presence of the two small children. The school day had passed an hour ago. He thought that there were no students left, but Emely was wrong.

Footsteps got closer and closer, making the two small children turn their heads. Then, a smile emerged from both of them.

Because the car was still stuck in traffic, Emely took the initiative to order an online motorcycle taxi. However, William seemed to know when the girl opened the application.

"Shut up, Emely. I'll take you, not kidnap you," William said suddenly stunned Emely.

The girl thought William was not paying attention. However, it turned out to be unexpected. Emily also gave up.

"Miss Emily!" cried the two children immediately rushed into the arms of Emely who immediately knelt to grab them.

"Why Clara and Ben aren't home yet?" asked Emely, rubbing one cheek from each child.

The little girl with her dimples lowered her head, her face was gloomy.

"Dad was late to pick him up, Mom. He said he wanted to pick him up, but he hasn't come yet," he told the story, still wearing a gloomy face.
