Once Sam and Ellen reached the tower Sam started dragging Ellen away while he took out his phone and made a call while he held a firm grip on Ellen's arm and after a moment or two the call was connected before Sam yelled
"I want to see the chairmen right now!"
Ellen then saw sam crush his phone to pieces in his hand before he continued on dragging Ellen through the streets till sam heard a woman say
"Is that man harassing that lady? Should we do something?"
Just then an armoured hunter stepped in Sam's path and said as he held his sword
"Release the lady now or else"
Sam was already in a bad mood to he gave a cold look at the hunter and said
"This is not your concern so either you leave or I'll call an ambulance for you"
The Hunter chuckled and said as he grabbed Sam's arm that was holding Ellen
"You clearly don't know who your dealing with so I'll spare you if you unhand the lady"
Just as Ellen was about to say it was okay Sam grew out his tail and said as he started to choke the man with his tail
"YOU do not know who your dealing with and I was even kind enough to give you a warning but due to your ignorance you will suffer"
Sam released the man once he had feinted and picked Ellen up like a princess before he grew out his wings and took to the skies with his heading being the Hunters Headquarters
~Meanwhile at the Hunters headquarters~
Chairmen Jimmy strand was doing some paperwork happily before he heard a loud and repetitive banging on his door before Gina bursted through saying
"Sir! Sam stone just called me! He sounded very angry! Should I alert the attendant?!"
The chairman's mood crumbled a little before he started to clear his desk and said
"Go and wait in the lobby for him and take him to me immediately! Now go!"
Gina bowed and hastily left for the lobby while the chairmen looked out of the window and saw a small speck get bigger and bigger than before and took a deep breath
Meanwhile with Sam who had just arrived at the Hunters headquarters main entrance
Ellen was curious of why they were waiting outside of the build before she asked Sam
"Master why are we waiting outside"
Sam looked at Ellen with blood red eyes and said as he tightened his grip on her arm
"You do not get to call me your Master and neither will you speak unless I say"
Ellen wanted to scream in agony from the pain but knew it would become worse if she made a scene so she had to fight through the pain but eventually Gina walked out the front door and walked over to sam and said with a smile on her face
"Master Stone, the chairmen is waiting for you"
Sam dragged Ellen again and said with an angry expression on his face
"Good now let's go"
Gina then guided them to the elevator and once the elevator doors closed Gina looked at Ellen and noticed Sam held a tight grip on her arm before she thought to herself
'Why is Master Stone holding this ladies arm? And why does this woman look so familiar?'
Sam and the others stopped at the top floor and as Gina was about the lead the way Sam pushed past her and made his why to the chairmen's office and before Gina reached for the door to open it Sam clenched his fist and yelled as he punch the door into splinters
"Room service!"
Sam looked around before he saw the chairmen hiding behind his desk utterly scared of Sam before he slammed Ellen's face onto the desk and said as he revealed the Marker
"I want an explanation for this"
Both Gina and the chairmen saw the marker before Sam let go of Ellen's neck and placed her on the ground on her knees while Sam stood behind her with a clearly visible intent that Sam wanted to kill Ellen before the chairmen said
"T-This is just a misunderstanding, I assure you"
Sam pulled up a chair and placed it where he stood and said as he grew his claws and placed a hand on Ellen's head
"I got all the time in the world but for Ellen here I doubt it so I suggest that you speak quickly"
The chairmen typed away at his computer while he said as Gina prepared some coffee for him
"Those markers were made by a man most commonly known as 'GodBrand the righteous'. Three years after the emergence we had received reports of criminals who committed crimes that would sentence them to death that would willingly turn themselves in"
Sam looked at Ellen's marker for a moment before Sam heard the chairmen say as he turned his screen to show one man on top of a pile body's while being covered in blood
"Then just 3 months after he told us that he was the one branding these criminals he disappeared from the public eyes but it wasn't for long before he appeared on television as the servant of veritas, the god of truth and order"
Sam felt a new problem coming to light before the chairmen said as he pulled out an iron brand with the same symbol for the marker that was on Ellen's neck
"After a long and hard negotiation with him he finally let us use his brands but only when deemed necessary"
Sam unconsciously grabbed the brand and said
"So all I have to do is ask this GodBrand fellow to undo this?"
The chairmen said as he shook his head
"That's impossible as the magic that runs in them come from Veritas himself"
Sam ran his fingers along the brand and felt a slight tingle before a young and cheerful voice was heard
""So the rumours are true! The dragon lord has come""
Everyone started looking for the owner of this voice while Sam looked at the brand and noticed the voice was coming from the brand itself before Sam asked
"Veritas I presume?"
The brand started to bend and shrink endlessly in different directions till it formed the figure of a child and said
""Boi your smart! It's a pleasure to meet the dragon lord in person""
Sam sat down and looked at the others only to notice time had stopped again before he saw Cronos once again drinking the coffee Gina was giving and heard him say as he faced sam
""You do know I don't like waiting""
Sam ignored Cronos and said as he pointed to Ellen's marker
"Veritas May I ask you to remove your marker on this human and her sisters"
Veritas floated down to take a closer look at Ellen's marker before he sat on Ellen's head and said with a smile
""That depends on how I will be compensated as it is quite troubling to remove a fully implemented Brand of obedience""
Sam looked at Cronos and saw him fooling around with Gina and the chairmen before he looked back at Veritas and said as he held out a Drake tooth that spanned over 9 feet
"I will offer this but if I were to recruit more followers that had your Brands on it then I want a way to remove them"
Veritas eyes widened as he stared at the Fang before he melted into a floating ball of Liquid Metal as he said
""I can give you this brand after some small adjustments where you can use it to change ownership of the marker so long as I don't interfere with it""
Sam knew better then to accept the trade right away as he felt in his bones that he was missing something and asked
"And what assurances do I have that you aren't going to undo the deal?"
Cronos the snapped his fingers twice and a shimmering golden light emitted as a slender and soft figure emerged from the light as a message appeared to Sam
[Fides the Goddess of good faith and honesty has appeared]
Once the light faded
The goddess looked around and saw Cronos before she yelled in anger that was unpleasant for her looks
""You! You interrupted my trip to the hair salon!""
Sam was confused by this outburst before the goddess saw Sam and stared at him for a second before her eyes widened as she said with curiosity
""So it's true that the dragons have risen out of their hole, interesting. Why am I here""
Veritas then spoke from the liquid ball saying as Cronos continued messing with Gina and the chairmen with little things
""Fides, can you bring out the scales""
Fides grunted as she snapped her fingers and said as a golden scale began to take shape from the feint golden mist in the air
""By thy words are true thy words will reveal your heart and punish the wicked for his lies""
Sam then noticed everything in the room glowed golden before Sam heard veritas say
""I swear on my being that I will not undo the deal we have discussed unless it proves harmful to my faction as you humans call them""
Sam scoffed and said sarcastically
"That's sounds a little out of place but I totally believe you. Ah!"
Sam suddenly felt a jolt in his head before he gained a massive migraine only for it to disappear in seconds before Fides said
""I have used the scales of truth so I would advise against lying""
Sam looked at veritas and asked
"Will you truly give me a tool to change their brands so that they obey my commands and none other?"
Sam heard an immediate response from veritas as the liquid started to take shape into a brand with a gem in the middle of a fire
""I will however if it becomes a threat to my faction then I will collect it""
Just as Sam was about to hand over the fang he looked at Cronos and Fides before he asked in hopes for an answer to something he has been wondering
"Why do you all speak like we have met before? As I never recall meeting any of you"
However not one of them answered before they said in unison
""We cannot say""
Sam was annoyed by this answer but knew that it would be useless to ask them again before he said as he tossed the fang to the reformed brand
"The deal is acceptable. Here you go"
The fang disappeared in a flash before Sam heard veritas say cheerfully
""Thanks! And to make the brand effective you just need a drop of your blood so goodbye now!""
The light glowing around the brand had disappeared and soon after so did Fides after she said as she left a small golden gem on the table
""Next time you need the scales use this gem but I'll be demanding compensation""
Sam picked up the gem and the brand and saw Cronos was still there before Sam heard him say
""it will be better if you set the link now rather then later""
Sam gave a drop of his blood onto the brand before it glowed a dark red light as Sam confirmed that he was the owner of the brand before he said
"What's so important about this 'Link'? What exactly is it?"
Cronos waited for a moment before a wide verity of items such as healing potions all the way to weapons floated around the room
""In Human terms it is basically a market where any Divine being can exchange goods or weapons for another but there are somethings that are more valuable to some then others""
Sam was curious on why it was explained like that but waved him off before time resumed to normal
Once Gina and the chairmen saw Sam holding the reformed brand the chairmen asked out of curiosity
"Mr.Stone what did you do to the brand? If the god Veritas find out then there might be severe consequences"
Sam smiled and said as he heated the brand up
"Don't worry about that since I just made a deal with him so now I can be at peace"
Gina and the chairmen looked at each other before they yelled in shock
"You made a deal with him?! When did this happen?!"
Sam then explain what had happened apart from what Cronos said about the link before Sam made Ellen look at him and said as the brand started heating up
"Seems fortune shines on you as I'll give you a choice. Either you and your sisters let me use this on you or maybe Ill let you fight for your freedom"
Ellen looked at the brand for a moment before she lifted her hair and said as she braced herself
"Do it"
Sam looked at Gina and the chairmen for a second to see that they were looking the other way before he began the overwriting process of the Brand of obedience and as the marker faded a new one began to form however unlike the previous marker the newer one stretched over her entire body and once the brand was completed Ellen whimpered in pain while for Sam a message appeared
[You have used the [Reformed dragon Brand of obedience] on Ellen Rose and branded them to follow your commands unquestionably]
Sam opened a gate to the great hall and said as Ellen past through
"Thank you both for your time and I'll be in touch about the build construction status"
Once Sam had left the chairmen started typing away on his computer as he said
"Gina go and over see the construction work and tell them I want it done within the month and don't worry about the costs"
Gina bowed before she left in a hurry while the chairmen leaned back in his chair and let out a sigh of relief
Once Sam and Ellen returned to the Dragon temple they immediately went and made their why to the cafeteria and found the sisters were still sitting at the table while everyone but Harry and phill were eating before everyone noticed Sam and set their plates down and stood tall before Sam said
"You may resume your meal"
Everyone sat down while Sam took out the Reformed brand and said as it heated up instantly
"Now due to some fortunate circumstances I can clear those markers however you will not freed from your punishment"
The four sisters looked each other before Ellen turned and showed her reformed Marker and said
"Sisters, he speaks the truth"
Sam walked to the edge of the table and said as he saw everyone staring at him
"I will not force you to be a servant to the clan but if you don't accept the new marker then I'll force you all to take the Trial of Will in order for you to go back home"
Everyone looked confused as they wondered what was the 'Trial of Will' not knowing that Sam just made it up a few minutes ago
The sisters looked at each other for a moment before they revealed their Markers and braced themselves for the pain as Sam Reformed their brands one by one and once all four sisters had their brands reformed Sam ordered them saying as he sat down and started eating the food Samantha and mindy had prepared for him
"Go and wash up in the healing pools and come back for dinner as you all still have training to do"
Each and everyone of the quintuplets got up and bowed before they left without so much as a word before Harry and phill eased up as they were quite hungry and as they sat down Sam said as he handed each of them a black and purple cloak
"Harry and phill, you both will become Dragon Enforcers"
Harry and phill inspected their new cloaks before Jim asked
"Master what will be the enforcers jobs?"
Sam smiled and said as Kinna jumped onto his lap
"Enforcer will kinda be like police officers in the dragon grotto to ensure nobody crosses the line and forces me to give them judgement"
Just as Harry and phill were putting on their new cloaks Cindy looked at Sam and said
"Master what is the 'Trial of Will'?"
Sam thought for a moment before he came up with a brilliant idea before he said
"As you all know there are four lower areas at the base of the mountains and I wanted to keep it a secret but in order to pass the trial and redeem yourself you must spend 1 year in each of the four areas alone"
Every single one of them were horrified by the conditions of the trail before they made sure to never ever break the rules Sam saw everyone's expressions said in hopes to lighten their moods
"None of you should worry as I know none of you would do something deserving of the punishment now let's eat and get some rest as you all have tests to prepare for and there's the competition too"
Later that night Sam was in the baths relaxed before he heard footsteps and saw Harry and phill enter the baths and said as he continued on with his relaxing bath
"Welcome"
Harry and phill got in the baths before phill asked Sam
"Master can we know why you have given us the position of Dragon enforcers?"
Sam held up two fingers and said
"First both of you have shown your true strength in you heart during the dungeon exploration and secondly the two of you will spend the majority of your day together in the dragon temple so I want people I trust to keep the balance in the temple"
Harry and phill felt touched by Sam's warm heart as they saw Sam as a man he just wanted peace among his students before they smiled and said as Sam got out of the baths
"We will do our best master"
Sam smiled and said as he put on a bath robe and grabbed his clothes before he left for his quarters to go to bed
"I know you will so make sure you all get enough sleep tonight"
