Once Sam had reached the dojo he opened up the
"Last night as you all know I went hunting and discovered two new dragon sub species this one is called the Ash Bird they only come out at night but they also hunt in packs so be cautious if you see one at night"
James raised his hand and said as he stared at the hologram
"Why is it called an ash bird?"
Sam smiled and said as he pointed at the mouth of the ash bird
"The ash bird gets its name from literally consuming ash and using it to create a smokescreen to blind you while it and it's pack pick you off one by one"
Mary then raised her hand and asked Sam
"If they travel in packs then that means that they would need large amounts of ash but where do they get so much?"
Sam smiled and said as he held up four fingers
"At the bottom of this mountain there are four areas however you will not visit them until I say you are ready, To the east is the Ash forest and that is where I encountered the ash bird at night but make no mistake that it may seem like a normal forest during the day but at night it will look like your in a foggy snowstorm"
Mary jotted down everything Sam was saying while the others listened before Sam flipped to the Earth worm page and activated the hologram to show a near identical image of the same earth worm Sam had killed making the only noticeable difference was size comparison as the hologram was about half the size of the one Sam had killed
Samantha saw the giant worm and hid behind Cindy before Sam said
"And this is the Earth worm it will attack you from the ground up and be careful as it's skin will be tough if you don't have a dragon weapon with you but it is vulnerable to a attack from the inside"
Harry raised his hand and asked Sam
"Master stone is this the creature you killed to acquire that Draconian Earth core?"
Sam nodded and said as he looked up at the hologram
"Yes it was but the one I killed was twice the size of what you are seeing now so always be cautious with an Earth worm"
Harry and the others already thought the holographic Earth worm was gargantuan but we're shock to find out that Sam killed one twice the size
Sam pulled out his swords and said
"If I didn't have these swords provided by Harry than I would of had a hard time so for today's training I want everyone besides Harry and phill to grab a dummy weapon and attack me with everything you got"
Mary looked to the side and saw some wooden weapon racks filled with wooden swords, bows, knives even a sludge hammer before she stood up and grabbed two wooden swords and said as she went onto the dojo training mat while Sam put away the
"I too have trained before the trial so I will show you the full extent of my experience"
Sam smiled and grew out his tail before his waved at Mary to taunt her before she lowered herself as her eyes changed before she jumped in the air and rotated her body clockwise before she started spinning as a impressive speed towards Sam but ultimately missed as she thought before she did some flips and jumped behind Sam and slashed at his neck but was stopped as Sam wrapped his tail around Mary's wrist and threw her back to where she was before Sam picked up both of her wooden swords and said as he tossed her a sword
"You have great potential but you can't take me on like that, you are no longer the girl who you were when you joined the clan"
Mary felt angry and said as she gritted her teeth and charged at Sam again
"You have no idea who I am! And I never give up!"
Sam saw Mary's rage but he also saw sadness in her words before he block Mary's attack with the wooden sword and said as he and Mary traded attacks while Sam managed to land a few while Mary kept missing by inches
"You have rage but you also have sadness in you, tare down this wall you have built and embrace the new you! Now attack with everything you have!"
Mary's rage and anger grew as the fight continued before she jumped back and yelled as she subconsciously grew a pair of gorgeous red feathered wings
"I have accepted who I am! I AM MARY JONES FOLLOWER OF THE DRAGON MASTER! I WILL NEVER SURRENDER! AHHH!"
Sam and the others were amazed by the sight of Mary's wings before Sam grew his wings and flew high above Mary and said
"Yes that's it! Now you will show me your true face and let's finish this!"
Mary looked at her wings before she focused on Sam and began to fly up till she was at equal height to Sam and said as she felt she had risen above who she was before joining the faction with Sam holding her hand to raise her up
"Thank you Master, now let's finish this! Here I come"
Sam smiled and prepared himself before an epic air battle between Sam and Mary unfolded however Mary was still no match for Sam as he was stronger and faster the Mary was before Sam clenched his fist and punched Mary in the gut sending her flying into the dojo wall before she fell onto the ground before Sam said as he flew over to Mary and extended his hand to her
"You must embrace who you want to become and will you be able to live in peace with yourself"
Mary unconsciously retracted her wings and grabbed Sam's hand before Sam smiled and said
"I'm very proud to have you join my faction now rest up"
Mary felt her heart pounding before she blushed a little and went over to the others before everyone started to cheer her on while Sam smiled again and said to himself as Mary started laughing with the others
'One down nine to go'
Jim turned to Sam and grabbed a pair of daggers before he pointed one at Sam and said
"I will go next master but I have doubts I'll be able to even touch you but if I can do what Mary just did then I'll try my best"
Sam smiled and waved at Jim just like he did to Mary and said
"Let's see what you can do"
Over the next 3 hours Sam helped everyone bit by but while assessing their combat capabilities before he looked at everyone and saw all of them were bruised badly while some had slightly more wounds before Sam said as he wiped the sweat off of his brows
"Good job today everyone, go and use the healing pool then rest, Harry and phill please follow me to the forging area"
Everyone stood up and bowed before they left for the baths while Harry and phill went straight to the forging area as Sam had asked and waited until Sam came through the doorway with a clipboard in his hand saying
"Using the dragon recipes I have taught you I want you to create a set of dragon armour for everyone else and the weapons I have wrote down on this list here, phill will be in charge of this task so Harry you will do what your brother asks of you"
Phill looked at the large list and said as he got down on one knee with his brother following his actions as well
"Master I fear we will not have enough materials for the task you have set"
Sam lit the forge and said as he started to repair the two
"Relax, I will continue hunting down the mountain while you both focus on making the equipment as we will have to look amazing for when we return to earth to gain more recruits"
Harry and phill were relieved as Sam was going to take care of the hard part of the task and continued watching Sam before he stood up as the fire in the forge died down while seeing his words were now in perfect condition before he wrapped them to his waist and said as he walked past the brothers
"Use what we have but first priority is the armour then weapons"
Harry and phill bowed to Sam before they started working
Once Sam was in the great hall he heard Mary come up from behind him and say as Sam stopped
"Master May I join you down the mountain?"
Sam turned and saw her in a bath robe and said as he looked away from Mary
"You are not ready you still need training and… your still in a bath robe"
Mary looked down and blushed a little before she said as she showed her bare back to Sam and grew out her new wings for Sam to see
"Master you helped me out of the box a placed around myself and gave me this gift so please let me join you on your hunt"
Sam after some thought let out a sigh and said as he pointed to the dorm's hallway
"Fine but change into something else otherwise i will leave right now"
Mary smiled and said as she ran towards her dorm
"Thank you master! I'll be right back"
Sam sighed once again before he took off the swords on his waist and grabbed the [Fire Drake Spear] and waited for ten minutes before Mary came running out wearing some comfortable clothes and said as she grew out her wings
"I'm ready, when do we leave"
Sam tossed Mary the two
"Right now, don't fall behind"
Mary smiled as she unsheathed both of the swords and followed Sam before they flew a few laps around the temple before Sam started the dive towards the ash forest with Mary behind him
