Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

As soon as Alan entered the Academy, he headed for the auditorium, where the entrance ceremony was going to take place. He quickly found an empty seat and sat down. Soon an old man got on the stage, it was Norman White the Principal and one of the 4 SSS rank heroes.

He did his speech and congratulated all those who successfully got in Luxion academy. The ceremony was the same as every other one except there was no speech from the rank one as those were only temporary ranks.

After the boring and tiring entrance ceremony, the teachers show the student around the campus after which student were registered and given a key for their dormitory. That was it for the first day there was no class or whatsoever. Classes would officially begin on the second day. Since students were free in the afternoon some of them were enjoying themselves while other were training.

However, in Alan's case, he decided to sneak out. As today was the day that an event which will affect the future will occur. So, he absolutely had to intervene so that his future life would be easier.

Vanessa Shepherd, the eldest sister of one of the main characters, will die and affect the story. She found out a secret plot of the demon worshippers and was chase because of that. She tried to escape but fail.

'Luckily the incident happened nearby'

Alan thought as it would be quite a hassle to go to a farther place.

Once at his destination, which was a dense forest. He pulled out a Sword from his dimensional storage, both of which were given to him by his parent, and a mask that he bought. He put on the mask and his hood.

'This should be enough to hide my identity. But I should be careful about my voice, sword technique and even my sword. Else I could be found out later on'

He then hid and started to wait for his target. After a while the target that he needed to save had appear it was a woman in her early twenties, and she was heavily wound behind her was 4 worshippers. The 4 man was around D-C ranks while the woman was around B rank.

'I can't take them on in a head-on fight, I'll have to move cautiously. Let maxed out my stack first then let finish it in one swipe'

Alan quickly started to swing his sword to maxed out the mad demon stack once he was complete, he quickly used [Flash step] a movement technique from the [mad demon's art] technique.

He then appeared in the middle of the 4 men with one knee on the ground, and he muttered something

[sword art: first form: Chaos]

A ring of flame appeared above Alan's head and had separated the 4 men lower body part from the upper body. But the flame did not stop there it continued until the bodies of the 4 worshippers have been completely turn to ash.

"Are you okay? We should get out of here before more of them come. I'll carry you. Don't worry I'm on your side."

Alan said in a more deepen voice to hide his identity.

"Grab on tie. I am going to run pretty fast make sure you don't fall"

Vanessa nodded and didn't dare say anything else as she understood how bad the situation was.

Luckily for Alan the mad demon art already had the [Flash Step] a movement technique included so he won't be needing one in the future.

"Sh*t"

Alan cursed as he saw more of the worshippers start to pursue them. When he they were getting closer and closer, he turned around and muttered something in his head.

[Sword art: second form: Flash destruction]

Since he did not have any stack the power of the attack was low, but the flame was enough to slow down his pursuers. These were no ordinary flame. This flame was part of the [Mad demon sword art] technique. Some technique uses elemental attribute and applies them to attack and if the technique was a high level one it could amplify or create new variation of the element. Such as my [Mad demon sword art] which use the fire element and create a variation of it called the [Flame of Wrath].

The [Flame of Wrath] was a type of fire that spread and burn furiously, so it hindered the worshipper's movement a lot.

After running for a few more minutes, Alan could finally see some building and other humans. He let out a sigh of relieve when he saw that their pursuers gave up.

Alan decided to take Vanessa to a nearby hospital and dropped her off in front of the building. When he was about to dip, he heard Vanessa talk.

"Thank you for saving me. Can I please know your name? I want to at least compensate you."

"No thanks! If I wanted to tell you my name or ask for compensation, do you think I would go through the trouble of hiding my identity?

Before vanessa could say anything Alan quickly disappeared.

"That man was somehow strangely familiar, is he perhaps someone that I know?
