-In Class 1 / One week later, day of Leid's awakening
Normally, I'm usually the one that arrives first in class but recently someone been coming to class earlier than me. It was none other than Leid, since when he was in the class no one would bully him due to my presence.
'I hope that the handing hand that I gave him wouldn't affect his awakening. But he did get bullied when I was not around.'
"Umm" Leid tried to talk to me
"What?" I answered
"Hii-. I-I'm sorry."
Looking at the 'say what you have to say quick or else' face that I had, he continued "T-Thanks for helping me. But y-you won't have to worry now s-since I will fight back as of today"
"Good and I hope that you won't take those words back"
"Y-yes Sir!"
'Look like he awoken. I don't have to worry, but what's with that 'Yes sir'?'
After our short conversation I went to my seat as usual. Soon the classroom was filled, and class started.

Soon another week passed by, and it was time for the first test. The teams will be decided through a lucky draw, so as to allow students to have better teamworks with others rather than just teaming up with their friends and sometime leech off them, since in real time situations they won't have the luxury of choosing their teammates. After the draw, I went to the room that I was told to go to and meet my teammates.
'Oh god look like I got the short end this time'
In the room was Ruby, Leid and a third person. Ruby had a deep hatred for Leid, not just because he would glare at her from time to time but from Ruby's pov he is a weakling that will drag her down. Most likely that she will exclude him from the team.
'I hope everything goes well'
"H-hi I'm Theo Hersey Rank F-, School rank 200th. Nice to meet you" Theo introduced himself trying to break the awkward atmosphere. Seeing this I decide to help.
"Alan Hall Rank E, School rank 10th."
Hearing me all three of them were surprised. In the entire 1st year only Ruby had reached Rank E-, but now there was someone that ranked even higher. I didn't even bother hiding it like other Mc in novels since I will lose nothing if I reveal my rank Sadly, for me I saw no sign of me breaking through to Rank E+ yet.
"Ruby Lawrence Rank E-, School rank 1st"
Even thought Ruby was one year younger than Edric, her rank and talent was far superior to Edric. Poor Edric getting overshadowed by his sister, but I don't think that siscon minds it though.
"L-Leid Wayner R-rank G-G+, School R-rank 4-490."
Leid was stuttering a lot since he was scared of Ruby even since that incident. I quickly tried to calm down the atmosphere a bit.
"Let's all take a sit and wait for the teacher to come and give us our assignment."
"I never expected you to break through to Rank first out of all of us. Seem like your grandfather SSS rank talents had been passed down well to you" Ruby approached me.
"Compared to you it's nothing. You are one year younger than us, yet you reached Rank E-"
"...Well, my grandfather taught me personally while my brother was taught by my father"
"Seems like favouritism" I replied
"You of all people shouldn't say that. If you were to get even a scratch, your grandfather would go on a rampage, while he threw his own son to survive on his own"

Soon the teacher arrived. He started to brief us on our assignment.
"Your mission is to capture or eliminate a group of traffickers known as the Crimson lion corps. They traffic drugs and many other dangerous items. We found out that they were trying to entice students of Luxion Academy. We also found out that one in charge of this will be attending an event in three days. The event will be held in a nearby hotel which belong to the Crimson lion corps. You are to capture the targets once they take their leave. There are 4 F+ ranks and 1 rank E+ being the highest rank. Since this is the highest mission rank assigned to first year in the entire of Luxion's history, you will be given appropriate gears from the academy. I wish you all luck and pray for your safety."
Seems like the mission is still the same. Originally, they failed this assignment not due to its high difficulty but because the leader of the corps had taken a drug strengthening himself, but maybe this time they can succeed since I'm here. If I successfully max my sword art stack and catches him off guard, I may have a slight chance of succeeding just like the time with those B rank worshippers. At max stack my sword art can do an attack similar to that of an A rank hero, but it drains me a lot. I can do up to 2 attacks at most with my current capability. If it was not for my unusually high mana stat, I don't think I could even had done 1 attack.
"You all have three days to train and learn better teamwork among yourselves. Don't just laze around else it might cost your life."
"Yes Sir" All of us replied at the same time.

Leid's Pov
When I was successfully enrolled at Luxion Academy I was really happy since I was not from a really wealthy family. However, on the first day, a beautiful woman entered the class, since I was mesmerized by her, I made a fool out of myself. Then the teacher brought us to the warehouse to choose a weapon. It was then that I caught glimpse of another beautiful lady. It was Ruby Lawrence, the one that was ranked 1st in the first years. But as I was looking at her the brother noticed and started to beat me up. I was not at fault here if you were to blame someone blame her beauty and my hormones okay.
I thought that after he beat me up it would be fine, but I was wrong a group of students started to bully me. No one would stand up for me even the teacher. But then one day someone finally helped me.
"STOP ANNOYING ME OR I'LL BEAT YOU GUYS TWICE AS MUCH AS YOU"VE BEATEN THAT GUY!"
He was Alan Hall, the grandson of Wallace Hall an SSS rank hero. After that day I thought that I was safe but that was all wishful thinking since once I was out of the class, they would continue to bully me. However, whenever Alan was around, they wouldn't even dare to come close to me. So every day I would rush to the classroom as early as possible to avoid getting bullied. This made my life much bearable even thought I was still getting bullied when I was outside.
But one day as if God had heard my prayers, I was given a chance.
It was one of the novel-like system. A cheat that would make me the strongest. However, I didn't want to become the strongest or create a harem like that. I wanted to pay back my saviour first, Mr Alan, it was thanked to him that I didn't give up on life. And like heaven was on my side I found out that we are on the same team for the test and moreover that he is E rank the current highest rank for the first year!
