Ariana with her the small bag in her hand looked behind to see the pack where she had grown up and stepped over the border.
She felt the connection that she had with the pack snap, she had already accepted the rejection, because of that she was extremely weak. technically when Hunter and Ava mated after he marked had ended the mate bond from his side.
If she didn't accept then she would have been the only who would be in pain as Hunter would not even feel anything if something happened to her.
She walked a bit further down as weak as she was, she was still scared. Now that she was a rogue, she had to be careful not to cross over other packs territory as she could be killed on site.
Ariana had decided to live amongst the human, which was usually frowned upon on, but she had no choice and leaving with humans didn't seem like a bad idea. At least she would be saved from the pain of seeing her mate with someone else, or getting the nasty looks from the other pack member when her belly started to show.
Back at the pack, everyone felt a snap but couldn't figure out what it was. Everyone just brushed it aside and continued to enjoy the celebration. Hunter was the new alpha and Ava was the new luna.
"Hunter I can't feel Ariana's wolf anymore." His wolf said.
"Well, she is not our mate anymore, why would you still feel her?" Hunter said and asked his wolf.
"I still can't believe you mated that Ava, you cost me my mate." His wolf snarled at him.
"Get over it. Ava is ten times better than that loser." Hunter responded.
"You blocked me from stopping you from making a mistake, when this thing blows in your face I don't want to see your face in regret." His wolf said.
"There is a reason why the moon Goddess pairs every wolf, and you'll regret it someday." His wolf said and cut off the connection.
Hunter pounded as to why his wolf was angry, he was happy to pick Ava as his mate. She was a better luna to help him run the pack.
Ariana could no longer see the border of her old pack and as it was getting dark, she decided to look for where she could spend the night. As she passed down the dark alley, she heard laughter and voices.
She turned around and saw five drunken rogues walking towards her.
"Well look boys a, she wolf, and by that sweet smell I can't wait." One of them said eyeing her.
"Tell me little one, are you lost?" One of them asked nearing her.
"Please I don't want any trouble." She said backing away.
"What trouble? We are just talking." The other one said.
She backed away and wanted to make a run for it, but they were quicker than her. They grabbed and she struggled to get out of their grip.
As she continued to struggle, one of them slapped her hard causing her to fall on the floor.
"I see you want it the hard way." He said lunging at her.
When he came near her, she pulled out her leg and kicked him. He had expected that, she saw an opportunity and stood up. Before she could do anything else, two of them pushed her to the floor, and kicked her hard in the stomach.
She felt a wage of pain rushing through her stomach and she immediately put her arm to protect her stomach. She felt blood flow down her legs and crouched in pain. They didn't stop and kept on kicking her everywhere.
They stopped when they noticed that she was not struggling anymore.
"Stop, stop, stop I think that she is dead." One of them said pulling them away.
Ariana was covered in blood and was barely breathing. The child in her womb had long died, her wolf was on the verge of dying, since the day Hunter rejected her, her wolf had gone weak. Adding to the ceremony Ava and Hunter had, it had been the final blow, and her wolf was barely there when she packed her bags to leave.
