"What do you mean that she is the strongest?" Ava asked in shock.
Ava had always believed that she was the strongest she wolfs in the pack, which gave her the arrogance to act like she was above everyone else.
"As the alpha has said, she is one of the strongest." Their father replied.
"If she really is one of the strongest how come she never fought back when we beat her up?" One of the pack members asked.
"The only reason why she was so weak is because we were using her powers, it is one of the reasons why the pack had been so strong these years." The alpha replied.
"Now that she is gone it is likely that if we were to get attacked, we would lose a fight." Ava's father added.
"That is why we need to find her quickly; the future of this pack lies within her hands." Hunter's mother added.
"Alpha is there something that you guys are still hiding." One the youngster asked.
The alpha looked at the pack elders and they shook their heads.
"No, that is all." He replied.
"Alpha if there is anything more you should tell us." Another one said.
"Where is Ariana? She normally comes to me every Thursday to see her grandmother's grave." Ariana's grandfather walked in asking.
"She's gone; we are trying to look for her." Ariana's mother answered.
"You guys have finally done it after all you guys did it wasn't enough was it?" He asked angrily.
Since the passing of his mate, he had gone weak, he was about to die until the birth of Ariana. She had looked so much like his mate, which was why he had always adored her, but could never go against the alpha's orders.
"Why are you crying?" He asked upon seeing Ariana's mother cry.
"What's the use of this crocodile tears? Since her birth this pack has done nothing but use her, when that didn't satisfy you guys you resorted to isolation then eventually to abuse." He added in anger.
"Grandfather what are you saying how could Ariana be the strongest in the pack?" Ava asked in confusion.
"You have always hated you sister because she was weak?" He turned his head to her.
"Yes, because she was always weak." Ava said as a matter of fact.
"Why would she be weak be weak, when the whole pack was draining her energy. You felt a strange feeling the night she left, right?" He asked looking at the entire pack.
"Yes..." They said hesitantly.
The elders tried to stop him from saying anything further.
"Why are you trying to stop me? I'll probably die in a few days since my reason to live is no longer near me." He said stopping them in their tracks.
"That was because the source of your energy left, legend had said that there was she wolf who would be stronger than an alpha and your alpha here was scared that she would be stronger than him and would take over and that's why he arranged for a witch to use Ariana's powers into giving energy for to the pack under the condition that she should always be weak. That was why she was forbidden from training and restricted into not shifting into her wolf ever." He caused looking at the people that had caused so much pain to his beloved granddaughter.
"You guys beating her to a pulp was the icing on the cake." He felt shame saying it he felt guilty by not doing anything all these years.
"That poor child wanted nothing more than you guys to treat her right. That is her origin and because of that she suffered dearly."
