Sophie looked at herself in the mirror as she had to get ready to meet Junwei. She had decided that she would wait outside the administrative office for Junwei.
She looked at the closet and wondered which dress she should wear. She picked every dress to check on herself. Finally, she wore a white inverted moon tank top with a black chic mini-skirt with buttons and a chain. She wore black ankle boots and a black hat over her head. She applied an exquisite perfume over her wrists and rubbed some on the side of her neck. She wore a light pink coloured lipstick and she was ready.
She looked in the mirror and clicked a few selfies. After selecting one, she posted one without any captions. She carried a tiny cross-body bag. She wore the mask and black shades before walking out of the dressing room. She carried her car keys and left for the parking lot.
Getting into the car, she drove to Sunshine Technologies' Administrative Office. While driving, her mind continuously prayed to God to make Junwei notice her. She would not try to go to his office, but stay in the lobby after making an appointment so that no one would get fired because of her. She was still guilty of her actions because some lost their jobs because of her.
Though Zheng Daniel had told her not to leave the house, she could not stay inside the four walls when she challenged Junwei that he would himself ask her to be the brand ambassador for his company's new car.
After a thirty-minute drive, she reached the Sunshine Technologies main office. The car slowed down and she opened the window slightly. The new guard checked her identity and was astonished for a second.
"I need an appointment," Sophie told him, who handed her the identity card and let her in. She smiled at him and drove ahead. She parked the car in the parking lot and once again looked at the mirror. She stepped out of the car, closed it and walked ahead.
As she passed through the rotating door, a few eyes fell on her. She removed the shades and went to the receptionist. She was shocked to see Sophie and greeted her with a tiny smile.
"I want to make an appointment to meet Mr. Yu Junwei," Sophie stated.
"Ma'am, I am sorry, but Mr. Yu's schedule is packed for three days. Also, it is not easy to get an appointment with the company's CEO," the receptionist politely answered.
"What?" Sophie thought that she would easily get appointed. For three days, she would not see him, and after three days, there was no guarantee that she would see him. Indeed, her luck wasn't on her side these days.
Her haters' curses finally attacked her. Everything was getting ruined, and it was depressing her. She thanked the receptionist and thought to wait for Junwei in the lobby.
The employees looked at her. Some of them wanted to get autographs from her, click selfies with her. But because of the fear of their CEO, they didn't dare to do so. Sophie found it strange that no one was coming to her. She wondered if they had also turned into her haters.
But she was happy. At least, the office was a safe place for her.
After a while, only a few could be seen, and she felt better. She straightened her back and rested her palms on her knees. She didn't even carry a leather jacket to wear over the top.
Time passed, but she found no trace of Junwei. She had even called Wang Zexi, but he didn't answer her call. Junwei had already blocked her number, and her desire to meet him was dwindling.
She never waited for anyone so much in her life. People waited for her. The receptionist came to her after two hours and asked her if she wanted coffee.
"No. Thank you," Sophie politely refused with a smile. She looked at the time and found it was already noon. The employees, after a while, came out to go for lunch outside. Many smiled to see her, but no one dared to go near her.
Her eyes fell on Victor Lu, who was talking and smiling with another manager. Victor also saw her, but he didn't say anything and walked ahead in fear. He could not lose his job, so avoiding her favorite star was the best option.
"Mr. Lu!" Sophie stopped him and walked up to him. She apologized to him yesterday. "I am happy that you are not fired from your job, and I am sorry for putting you in a dangerous situation," Sophie said in a humble tone.
"Please don't apologize. I was the one who thought that the CEO would not be angry. I am getting late for lunch." Victor ended the conversation and left. Sophie returned to the waiting area and wondered if Junwei would only come in the evening. She had no idea. Even the receptionist did not know about Junwei's whereabouts.
She was hungry, but she could not go anywhere to eat without any security. Moreover, she didn't want to miss the opportunity to meet Junwei. She took out her phone and looked at the notifications that she had received. Her heart sank when she read about the hate comments.
'How could she be happy making Yi Zixun sad?'
'Yi Zixun is such a nice woman who did not take any legal action against this b*tch.'
'I am happy that she's no longer part of the new drama. Yi Zixun will be the best for that role.'
Sophie was saddened to read those comments. Her haters' comments were more on the post than her well-wishers' comments. She put on a smile and closed the notifications. For some reason, she never turned off the comment section. Ciao asked her many times, but she always refused at.
"Miss Lin, what are you doing here?" A deep masculine voice fell into her ears and she lifted her eyes.
