Ashley's POV
I've been doing some legs excises lately and I've gotten a little stronger in my legs but still pretty weak but better then nothing.
Alpha's legs have finally healed properly and has been going on walks with my dad. My dad says he's very obedient without the leash so I won't have to worry about him running away from me when I go to walk him today.
I sit on the couch and put my shoes on while mum grabs my walker out of the closet. My dad picks it up and takes it out the front door and sits it on the pavement while mum walks me out. I grasp the walker as my dad speaks "Now Ashley don't go too far just to the park down the road and back, okay?" He reminds me.
"Yes dad I remember you telling me" I say rolling my eyes. "No need to be sassy, just be careful please?"
"I promise" I respond with sincerity.
Cyrus' POV
My wolf is a love sick fucking puppy. Ever since we met our mate, he has dotted on her ever since. Today we're going for a walk, which is great because now I can finally escape and go back to my pack. My wolf growls at my thoughts "We will never leave mate." He grumbles at me. I roll my eyes at him.
I couldn't escape while her dad was walking me because I was still too weak and also the fact he had a firm grip on my leash didn't help, I would hurt him if I tried.
"Alright Alpha let's go." says my supposed mate Ashley.
She starts walking with her walker while I walk beside her. She's a lot slower then the usual human pace but it's understandable given her treatment. I have to slow my walking so I can stay beside her.
Now your probably wondering, I'm a werewolf aren't I supposed to be huge? Well werewolves were given a gift from the moon goddess to shrink our wolf bodies how small we want, so that if we run across humans we can shrink and pretend to be dogs. Given I'am an Alpha I'm a lot bigger then the average werewolf so I need to shrink myself more then the others.
Awhile has passed and we finally reached the park. The forest behind it is looking tempting as fuck.
As Ashley walks over to the forest behind the park, she kneels slowing to the ground in front of a tree to sit and turn around and lean against it. I lay beside her wondering when to run and find my pack.
* Three hours later *
Everyone that was at the park has left leaving Ashley and me sitting in front of the forest staring at the empty playground. Ashley hasn't spoken at all these past three hours, I think she had fallen asleep.
"Alpha I think it's time we should head ho-" she stops suddenly. She looks around seeking out something. "What is that awful smell?" She questioned herself. I then all of a sudden gotten a whiff of that god awful stench. My eyes widened realising what that stench is coming from. I turned towards the forest and there I see three sets of golden eyes staring at me from a distance.
I get up and get into a fighting stance and charge towards them. Hearing my mate scream from the forest line looking into the forest at the rogues only made my anger worsen for these mutts. They scared my mate.
I finally reached one and grabbed his throat with my teeth and crunched down to hear his throat snap and have my leg being grabbed by the other rogues teeth while the other bit my back trying to get me off the other and to kill me. I spun around and kicked my leg up at the one biting my foot before it could break it with its teeth.
I leaped at the one that bit my back. It tried shielding me from its neck so I scratched its belly, it let out a howl of pain. While the mutt howled from pain I quickly bit into its neck and broke its neck only to fly into the tree besides me, breaking my ribs within impact.
My mate screamed in horror at probably hearing the sound of my ribs breaking. Her scream caught the rogues attention and sprinted towards her. My wolf Alastair came forth with anger I have never experienced before. Sharing each others anger made us more stronger and we sprinted after the rogue.
Just before he got to my mate she screamed and I barrelled into him causing a whine to slip from him. I scratched at his belly and broke both his legs causing him so much pain before I kill the filthy mutt for trying to kill my mate.
After the torture I laid upon this mutt using my claws and mouth I finally ripped his throat out with my teeth.
My mate came stumbling towards me with fear in her eyes. I ran.
As I ran away from her I heard her scream out for me to come back. I slowed my pace hearing her crying. I hated it when she cried, it's not just her, in general I hate hearing people cry. It hurts seeing them in pain.
I have seen Ashley cry more then five times already from not being able to sleep because of her nerve pain and from chemo pain. I heard her cry in the shower because she hates how ugly she apparently looks according to her. She cried one time because she can't run around like normal teenagers her age.
I hated it every time she cried.
I finally stopped running away from her and started trudging towards her. Once I got to her she was kneeling face down in the dirt crying. I rubbed her head with my muzzle and she looked up at me slowly. She quickly grabbed me and dragged me towards her, hugging me.
"Omg thank god, I thought you were gonna leave me Alpha." She whispered as she cried. She cried some more and we finally got up and walked home. I can't believe I stopped and came back, damn you Ashley and your crying.
