Ashley's POV
I moan as I start to wake from my slumber. The dream I had whilst I was asleep was so real and vivid. It's so strange how my mind made my dog in my dream a werewolf.
I mean I'm not gonna lie it would be pretty cool if it was true but really I'm pretty sure I would freak out in reality.
My bed feels so comfy that I don't wanna get up and face the day knowing what's going to happen today. I have another round of chemo today but I guess if I think about it the more rounds I get, the more close I get to finishing.
I have one more month left to go and I can finally put this life behind me. I can finally have my hair back and be able to run again.
I turn over to the other side of the bed with my eyes closed and my body collides with something hard but soon enough that "something hard" begins to moan and move underneath me.
I open my eyes and realise it's the guy from my dream. I'am in complete and utter shock right now that I freeze "again". I inwardly roll my eyes at my cowardice actions.
My breathes come short and loud and I realise my breathing is waking him up. He stirs underneath me and soon enough his eyelids open, revealing two beautiful green orbs.
He looks at me and obviously realises the position we are in while his eyes grow wide as saucers. I begin to breathe more rapidly. He slowly raises his hands and holds my face between them.
"Breathe babygirl." He whispers in his husky morning voice that makes me shiver.
Strangely my body obeys him and I start to breathe normally. What the fuck was that. Mind control?
I quickly shift my body to sit at the end of my bed away from him as he sits up alarmed that I moved so quickly from him. I want to yell for my parents but my body doesn't agree.
I feel very calm but also a little scared. What is he doing to me?
"Hey, Hey it's okay babygirl. I'm not going to hurt you." He whispers as he holds his hands up in surrender while he leans against the headboard of my bed.
I finally snap out of my shock and answer him. "Who are you? What are you doing in my bed?" I demand.
"Babygirl I know this is hard to believe but I'm Alpha, your dog. Do you not remember last night?" He asks while he whispers to me to not alert my parents that a males voice is coming from my room.
After he spoke, the realisation that my dream was indeed true hit me like a tone of bricks. My back starts to surge with incredible pain at the memory that my back was clawed from the wolf in my backyard last night.
I wince at the surge of pain I get coming from my back. The stranger looks at me with pain and sympathy in his eyes.
The shock and adrenaline must've kept my brain from realising my back was hurt. I can't believe my dog is actually a bloody werewolf!
"Why did you pretend to be my dog?" I ask angrily.
The cute stranger sitting in my bed was taken aback by my anger. Well what do you expect?
"I wasn't pretending to be anything. I was badly hurt and couldn't shift back to my human form." He admitted.
I nodded understanding.
"I'm guessing you getting hurt is how you ended up at the shelter?" I asked. He nodded with sadness lacing his eyes.
"Why do you call me babygirl? Why save me?" I demand smacking my hands against my duvet in frustration.
He smiled as he looked at me with what I think is admiration in his eyes. "Because your my soulmate."
I'm at a loss for words. What did he just call me?
