It was All silence when she stepped in. Not like she was expecting it to be any better.
"Are you ready?" His voice rang out, stealth as ever.
"Yes Boss." She replied standing Infront of him.
Without saying a word he rose from his elegant posture and took the lead out of the office. Of course Alvira did her job of locking it up first but he told her to give the key back to him once she was done. She pondered what will be the need for him to be the one to hold the key when she is supposed to arrive before him. And of course as his personal assistant, to be the one in charge of things like this. But then it clicked. "Could it be he was coming back to the office later after they were done with the meeting?" She whispered, in which she had no doubt he had heard her.
Even if he pretends to not have. 'Sigh..! Workaholics!' She shook her head sadly.
Her phone 'Dinged.' in her purse in a vibration. She hurriedly took it out hoping it was a reply from Kayla, but unexpectedly it was from someone else. Carl...? Her brow furrowed. A smile appeared on her face when she saw his text.
"Hey! not done yet? thought of dropping you home, if you agree that is." Alvira could literally hear his voice in her head as she skimmed through the text he had sent.
Hurriedly, she started typing back to reply, not aware that she was currently trailing behind her Boss.
With all seriousness and as frosty as he has always been, Ezra fast approached the elevator, he wasn't in no haste, somehow it seemed as if the meeting was of no importance to him at all. With his long legs, he halted for the elevator to open up to them when he felt a light bump on his back. Turning back to see the sight of a pouting Alvira whose face had gone red, constantly rubbing on her forehead.
Nothing but a sharp glare was all he could give her.
Instead of apologizing, Alvira stood there just rubbing on her hurting forehead as if the one she just bumped into wasn't important. She hissed in pain when the pain got to her. 'How can someone's back be so strong as steel.' She felt like cursing out loud but she pulled at her restrains.
"Next time, watch where you are going." That was all Ezra could say to her.
'What? not even a sorry? Monster!' Oh if only she knew how much of a monster He is. She fumed inside. Not caring of her conclusion of him hearing her speak in her mind. Staring at him with mouth agape she was speechless at his remark.
He wouldn't say sorry? She wouldn't apologize then! She's not called hot headed by her previous colleagues for nothing.
She lowered her head and stepped pass him into the elevator that had open up to grant them entrance.
He followed with elegance, with his two hands in his pocket.
Pure silence reigned in the elevator as the two of them had nothing to say to each other. Or rather... Alvira didn't know what to say to her stone faced Boss. So silence was the only alternative here, though it was awkward. The five minutes in there felt like hell as his aura kept seeping out of him, making him look so scary and dangerous as the God of hell.
"Phew!" She did without notice. Finally.
When they reached the parking lot that was when it clicked. 'Is she supposed to drive them over to the venue of the meeting? Because the apparently was no chauffeur available.'
They moved further into the underground parking lot and it looked like it was privately owned by him alone. Though they were series of luxurious cars lined up both vertically and horizontally, she clearly knew they were his. No one else could own such in this company except from the Big Boss himself.
Oh! and is she....going to ride with him? Those questions couldn't help but float at the back of her mind. The driving part was what puzzled her more. Again! who was going to drive them to the venue?!!
"I'll Drive." He uttered not surprising her anymore.
