House Divided part 2 of 4
Ian, The Leader of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, was one of the few men fighting against the corrupt officials of the New Earth. And after a bout against the New World's X-men and Shield, he was held captive alongside his top officials on a Shield transport to the Raft. On the way, he and his team were rescued by a man thought to be working for Shield, James Howlett (Wolverine). In return for his freedom, Logan asked that while he and his team did what they needed to do, the brotherhood gave them a distraction of massive proportions. And that's what, Ian was preparing.
Ian currently stood just waiting, behind a door, while out in the main foyer was his army of mutants and humans who were sick and tired of Shield's oppressive rule.
" Your people are waiting for you.... Or whatever." Boom Boom told Ian.
" Thank you, Tabby. It's finally here. The day everyone's been looking forward to for so long. All these years of death and violence, and now... Now we finally have a chance to set things straight. To avenge them." Ian stated.
" You mean for you to avenge your family?" Tabitha asked.
Ian turned to the girl and shook his head.
" Tabitha, my revenge for my family is one of the few things that has kept me going all these years. It's one of the few reasons I can continue to sit up here and lead you all." Ian told the girl. He walked over to Tabbitha and wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close to him. " But you guide me as well. I couldn't wake up every morning and make the decisions I do without you. You gave me the light when I was so lost in the darkness." Ian told the girl.
" But I'm not your wife." Tabitha replied as she leaned into Ian's chest.
" No, you're not. And you shouldn't try to be her. What Rahne and I had was special. It was beyond special. It was a miracle. And then Sarah, my little girl, she was even more than that. And I will always miss them. And love them. There will never be a day where their names leave my heart. But you, Tabitha. You've made your own home in my heart. I don't want you to be like Rahne, I care about you because you are you. And I don't want you to change that. I love you just the way you are, you stubborn bull-headed woman. I love you."
" I love you, too." Tabitha told the man.
Ian leaned down and kissed Tabitha right on her lips, passionately.
" Now, come on my love. Our people are calling us." Ian told the girl. He grabbed his head piece and his gauntlets, both of which were silver with red stars on them. Taken from after he killed Wonder Man in battle.
" Right." Tabitha replied.
Ian walked out of the room, full of confidence while Tabitha stayed behind, rubbing the small bump she kept hidden underneath her baggy clothes.
Tabitha, quickly followed behind Ian, sticking as close to him as possible.
" You ready?" Ian asked the girl.
" Yes. I'm ready when you are." Tabitha told the man.
" All right. Let's go!" Ian exclaimed. He burst into the room to the roaring sound of applause from his band of freedom fighters.
" Onslaught! Onslaught! Onslaught!" The crowd cheered his name as loud as they could, if you were nearby, you would be able to tell just what was going on.
" MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS!!!!! MUTANTS AND HUMANS! THE NIGHT HAS ARRIVED!" Ian exclaimed. The entire crowd erupted once more into a state of cheers. Mutants and humans alike cheered for the man. " For too long, Shield has gone unchallenged. They believed themselves to be the only force worth existing in this world. AND YET HERE WE ARE! STILL STANDING! STILL FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT! They thought to silence our voice. ARE WE SILENT?"
" HELL NO!"
" THEY THOUGHT TO TAKE OUR FIGHT! TO BREAK US! ARE WE BROKEN?"
" WE STILL STAND STRONG!"
" For ten long years we have suffered through their tyranny. For ten long years we suffered pain, we've all lost someone dear to us. Our Husbands! Our Wives! Our Daughters! Our Sons! Our Mothers! Our Fathers! Our Brothers! Our Sisters! All in the name of Mutant superiority. They said we'd be better! That we'd make things different! That we would move forward not backwards! But instead, all they've done is take away our free will. WELL, NO MORE! DO YOU HEAR ME?! I SAID NO MORE! Tonight, we bring to them a fight, one of which they've never seen before. But I won't lie to you, there will be casualties. Which is why I am not forcing any of you to fight! My brothers! My Sisters! Children! Know that you have a choice. I implore those of you with kids to stay behind. Take care of your own families. Do not feel the need to sacrifice your lives for this cause. You just being here with me, is more than enough to give me the strength to go forward." Ian told the crowd.
" WE STAND WITH YOU!"
There were those in the crowd who seemed to doubt, and there were those who were certain. But if they shared one thing, it was the love they had for their brothers and sisters that had struggled with them for so long.
" THEN FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE READY! LET'S GO!" Ian exclaimed.
Pyro, ignited his flame throwers and blew the roof off of the old building, signaling the beginning of the brotherhoods battle.
The Brotherhoods army comprised of some of Mutant kinds deadliest and Humanities strongest. Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The heroes for hire, Sabertooth, Sinister, Pyro, Blob, Toad, Avalanche, Silver Samurai, Spiral, Astra, Shocker, The repurposed Sentinels Bastion and Nimrod, Frenzy, The omega level telekinetic Exodus, The Goblin, Vertigo, Boom Boom, Iceman, Juggernaut, Sunspot, Banshee, Multiple Man, Firestar, and more.
" TO ME MY BROTHERHOOD!" Ian declared.
