"Was that the second prince?" Carlisle asked as they made their way to the turret.
"Aye" Morgana answered.
"He's quite popular at Ramsgate"
"I'm not surprised" Morgana admitted.
"Who was that other god with him?"
Morgana frowned before she said, "Lucien Griss. His father is the lord of Mystic Valley"
"There is so much anger in your voice, should I be worried?" Carlisle asked, eyeing her closely.
Morgana turned her gaze at Carlisle. "I don't like royalties, the aura from them makes my skin crawl"
"But you are friends with the great impaler" Carlisle reminded as he kept his eyes straight forward.
"He is different" Morgana said.
Carlisle finally looked at her, then he cleared his throat. "The second prince is strikingly handsome. I see the stories about him in Ramsgate are true"
Morgana nodded, "So are all the other princes. That was why the queen gave an order that no one is permitted to look them in the eye"
Ah, so that was why she told him to look down, Carlisle thought.
"What will happen if I do?" Carlisle asked.
"Are you really that curious?" She asked him.
"Yes."
"Try it, and you won't live to see the next day" Morgana informed. Queen Katherine is by far the most ruthless queen she has ever seen.
"Remind me never to" Carlisle said as they stepped into the turret.
As usual and expected, the place was noisy with the sound of multiple weapons clashing in training.
"This is amazing" Carlisle said as he glanced around in awe - he was completely overwhelmed by the size of the place, and also the difference activities that was going on. In his realm, they had few warriors, that was not actually well trained. To be sincere, his father didn't do a good job at raising armies - and his children too, because as a male that Carlisle is, he should be able to defend his self in the face of danger. But instead he is a coward, that flees when dangers arose.
As they walked pass the warriors that were training, Morgana glanced around in search for Zander, but she couldn't find him.
"Who is that?" Carlisle asked pointing at a certain god that was ordering the other warriors on how to go about in their training. And he was doing it in a strict manner.
"That's Ian, Zander's right hand man. He is the second in command" she answered.
"Why is he so harsh" said Carlisle.
"Harsh?" Morgana repeated as she turned her head to Ian's direction.
"One more mistake and you all will take fifty laps around this field. Do it again!" Ian ordered, more louder this time.
"Yes, sire" the men said in unison, before they immediately went back to their training.
'Well, Carlisle was not wrong' Morgana thought. "That's how warriors are trained. They are no room for silly mistakes" she explained.
"But...can't he be a little gentle?" Carlisle said.
Morgana sighed, "Why are you so dim-witted?" she said with a tone of pity. Then she added, "Stay here, I'll be back. And don't say anything to anyone, if someone talks to you just smile and nod. Do you understand?"
"Crystal clear" he replied, before Morgana walked off to Ian's direction.
"Ian, umm...excuse me" Morgana called for his attention.
Ian turned around to face her, "Morgana, hello" he greeted.
"I want to speak to the lord impaler, do you know where he is?" she asked, she was only being that formal because she was outside and Ian was aware of that.
"He is at the sixth prince's chamber. Word had it that sixth prince has awaken" Ian informed.
"Thank Rao" she whispered, "Are their any wounded warriors left" she added in a audible voice.
"Aye, they are at the west wing" Ian said, and Morgana nodded with a smile before she went back to Carlisle - who still stood at the spot that she left him.
"Carlisle, you'll have wait for Zander, he'll be here soon"
"Are you leaving me, where are you going?" Carlisle asked clearly panicking - these warriors just doesn't look friendly at all.
"I have work to do" She replied.
"What work?"
"Carlisle, I work here"
"Then I'll fellow you" he said.
Morgana exhaled, "No"
"You can't leave me here, with this... " he paused and added, "they all look scary"
"Fine. Come along" Morgana had no strength to argue with Carlisle now.
"You didn't tell me you worked here" Carlisle said as they walked to the west wing.
