Odetta
After spending some time in the bedroom Orion decided to take me on a palace tour. We came out of the bedroom holding hands. I can see the palace maids and guards looking at us. The reason why I am so loving to my mate is because I feel he might reject me when he finds out I am a tribrid. So I want to enjoy our bond while it lasts. He took me to the royal dining room.
'Okay this is where i dine, when there are guest in the palace we all dine here. But there is another dining that is for the king and queen, I will show you that later. Okay so moving on let me show you the kitchen' he said leading me to where it is.
``Okay , this is the kitchen,' he said. There were lot's of maids here when they noticed us and they stopped working and bowed.
``Greetings your majesty!' They echo. Orion waved his hand.
'As you where, head maid Florence' he called. A lady came forward.
'Odetta, this is Florence, she is the head maid in the palace. Florence this is Odetta my mate and soon to be queen make sure all her needs are tended to, do you understand? He asked.
'Yes your majesty,' she replied, bowing.
'Good' he said. We left the kitchen.
''time to show you where the king and queen dine' he said. Then we passed through some halls. They were so dark and creepy honestly. Supernaturals can see in the dark. It still doesn't make them less creepy.
'why is the hallway not lighted with fire everything is dark in here' I asked.
'Sorry my queen the guards must have forgot to light it' he said looking at me.
'Why did you call me your queen? I asked with a slight smile.
'Well you are going to be my queen so I can call you my queen' he said smiling. I noticed he doesn't really show is enotions much but he smiles a lot. We got to a door the guards were not here.
'why are the guards not here? I asked.
'This is a private area the guards don't need to be here' he said opening the double doors. There were light in the room and there were 6 chairs with a long table there was a big window where you could see the palace from here.
'nice view' I said moving to the window. He joined me.
'Okay now I am going to take you to the royal garden. The demon kingdom is dark, the only thing that shines is the garden. I had a witch cast a spell on the garden so it will always remain shining. All the plants are dead in the demon kingdom as we speak,' he said, leading me to the garden.
'Why is the demon kingdom cursed if you don't mind me asking?' I asked. He took a breath in.
'It was cursed by a witch who hated me for a reason. She said it is only my mate and tribrid that can uplift the curse. She cursed my kingdom to always be dark with no life whatsoever. She also cursed my people to always be full of anger. That is why demons are so temperamental and why the kingdom is dark and ugly. I have been searching for the tribrid and my mate to uplift the curse. The tribrid is really good at hiding. I don't have any clue. The only emotion I feel is for my mate. I don't feel any other emotion,' he said. So that is why he is searching for me.
'I think you are lying because you do feel emotions, you are worried for your kingdom are you not?' I asked.
'Well I do feel worried for them. Normally demons have bad tempers but the curse makes it worse and I don't like the way the kingdom is always gloomy. It is a punishment for not being able to tell dark from day. All the vegetables and fruits are being transported from the werewolf kingdom. The kingdom used to have such nice soil but now we can't even plant. The kingdom looks hideous' he replied. He is right, the kingdom is hideous. You can't even hear a child's laughter.
'Do you have any other bad plans for the tribrid? Like handling her over to the council?' I asked.
'No I will never do that, the council are wicked people and they need to be taken down. I don't support their ways. It is only the tribrid that can take them down' he replied. I feel happy he is not planning anything horrible for me. He just wants to help his kingdom. I feel relieved. We got to the garden and truth to be told the garden is very beautiful and shining. The flowers have a nice fragrance. There is a well and a clear pond. The pond is not that large and the water is so clear. All in all it is beautiful.
King Orion
I watched my mate admiring the garden. She looks so beautiful she had a look of awe on her face. I feel so content. Should I tell her about me being an hybrid? The bond is pushing me to be honest with her. I hate lies and I don't appreciate being lied to. If I come clean with her, maybe she will.
'Odetta, I want to discuss with you, let us sit by the pond' I said. She agreed and we removed our shoes and sat by the pond.
'I just want to come clean with you, i have not exactly being honest and the bond is pushing me to tell you the truth' i paused looking at her.
'You see my father was always having an affair. He and the queen are not true mates. My father was forced to marry the queen; there was no love between them. My mother was an elemental. She came to the demon kingdom because her element is not as powerful and weak elementals don't get the good treatment in the elemental kingdom. She was a maid in the palace. My father said he liked my mother because of her beauty. But she refused him because he had a queen and a lot of concubines. My father got tired of her constant no then he took her by force. He purposely mate with her so she could be pregnant. She got pregnant he hid it from everyone. He called a witch to make the queen look pregnant. When my mother gave birth to me she died. I always blame my father for killing her. The queen was forced to noture me like her son. But the queen hated me. She treated me horrible in closed doors. My father wanted a powerful hybrid; he wanted the demon kingdom to be the most powerful. Then he started looking for an hybrid to mate with. I overhead his plans i was disgusted so i entered the room where he was planning with two men. Words were exchanged. My father called me useless because my mother element was weak so he tried to kill me. But i fought him back i killed the two men and my father. The queen walked in she started screaming that she will tell everyone of my betrayal. I killed her too. I was not remorseful they were bad people. I left the room and the smell of blood was very deep so nobody could figure out I was there. Due to me being next in line i didn't allow anybody investigate. The only person that knew was my father real mate who looked into my memory. She cursed the kingdom and left. I hunted her down and killed her because she knew my secret. So that is my story i understand if you want nothing to do with me. I have done lots of bad things that I am not proud of but I don't regret them,' I said. And I felt better telling her the truth.
