Odetta
After the nice couples left. Others came to greet us. I noticed that Orion only smiled too Julius and Olivia. Then i saw elemental king, king Titus coming to our direction. He got closer to us.
'Greetings king Orion and Odetta' he said while bowing.
'Greetings king Titus, thank you for honouring my invitation' Orion said.
'Greetings king Titus' i also greet.
'I must say this is a great feast and it is truly a miracle that the demon kingdom is how it used to be' he said without having any emotions on his face. All this kings that always move around without an emotion I internally roll my eyes.
'Ah yes. My mate graced my kingdom and I with her presence' Orion replied.
'Ahh yes your mate. I guess what they say about mates are true, since i never experienced the mate bond. I guess it must be nice having a mate' he said still emotionless. There is something about this man. I looked at him. He doesn't look old at all, he looks like a young man. I entered his memory at first i was blocked. That has never happened. But I am a tribrid nobody can block me. I pushed into his memory and thoughts harder causing his mental wall to break.
'I guess you are my granddaughter after all' that was the first thing i heard. Grand daughter? Who is the granddaughter. I looked at the man. He was not looking at me he was talking to Orion.
'I have been searching for you. I knew you were not dead my daughter spoke to me after she died in a vision. She told me that you are still alive that one day i will meet you. I have been waiting patiently to meet you and when i saw you this night you look exactly like my daughter. I finally found you Odetta, but no mistake i mean no harm after all you are my only successor as your mother was my only child' king Titus said projecting his thoughts to me. So this is mother father, my grandfather. I looked at him, i can't really remember how my mother looks like but this man features is a little bit like mine.
'Now it is time for the king and queen to dance!' A guard said breaking me out of my thoughts. King Titus went to his seat. Since the feast is over we have to dance. Then the kings and queens will join us and everyother person that wants to. I don't really know how to dance. I never learnt how to. What will i do now? I felt myself getting panicked.
'Orion i can't dance, i never learnt how to' i said projecting my thoughts to Orion.
'It is okay just follow my lead and i will move slowly' he said. I took a deep breath and calm down. When we got to the centre of the ballroom. I kept my hands on his shoulders, he wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled me close. Then we started moving, very slow might i add.
'Okay we move slowly until you get your footing. You move left to right' he mindlink. Then we started moving left to right.
'Okay now i am going to twirl you around, make sure you relieve you bones' he continued. I removed my hands from his shoulders, then he took one of my hand, he raised our hands up and kept his other hand at his back then I twirl making sure to 'relieve' my bones. We repeated the dance till I got my footing. Then the musician started playing another song that require a little bit of fast dance.
'Okay you got your footing. Now time to dance, just relieve your bones and trust me' he said. I nod
Then we started dancing to the song. We danced for like a minute before others tarted joining in.
'Now it is time to switch partners!' A man shouted. We switched partners. I ended up with king julius.
'We meet again soon to be queen Odetta' he said politely
'Yes we meet again, enjoying the party? I asked.
'Yes, the demons always know how to throw big and nice parties. They never disappoints, and the foods are exquisite' he said giving me a swirl. I smiled
'Are you also enjoying the party? He asked.
'Yes I am, i get to meet lot of royalties' I replied. He didn't say anything. He just smiled and nod his head. It was time to switch partner's again.
'I will see you later soon to be queen Odetta' he said bowing.
'You too king Julius' i replied with a curtsy. I moved on to other partner's some where chatty, too chatty, some quiet, some braggy. Personally i like the quiet one's. I danced with an hybrid who kept bragging about his powers. I was just nodding with a few yes and no. This is seriously exhausting how do the royals do this. Then finally i got to my last partner of the night. And you can guess who it is.
'Councilman Aaron' I said with a very displeased tone. I didn't bow and i kept my face expressionless
'Odetta' he said with an equally displeased tone while keeping his face expressionless. This man irks me to no end and there is something about him. I entered his mind. And i was pushed back. I can't enter his mind, I tried again, nothing. There is something about this man. The other day i could enter his mind so what happened?
'Enjoying the party? I asked
'The party is okay, I have been keeping my eye on a certain maiden' he said. Why do i feel like the maiden is me.
'Which maiden is that if i may ask? I asked.
'Oh a certain someone with magical powers' he said looking at me intensively. He is trying to look for an emotion from me. Well two can play a game. I laughed humorless.
'Councilman Aaron their as so many women here with magical powers, you have to be specific. You are not to old to understand what i mean by specific right? I asked. He clenched his jaw. A reaction nonetheless.
'well a certain tribrid. A seer told me she would be here and she will try to enter my mind so i had a witch block my mind' he said still trying to look for a reaction from me. But he won't get one.
'That is rather interesting, how is your search going. Found her yet? I asked looking bored. But I am seriously bored.
'I think she is closer than I think, she might be behind me or beside me or in front of me' he said. Still trying to look for a reaction from me. Stupid old man. I laughed this time with humor.
'Councilman Aaron why don't you tell me what you are assuming' I said.
'I think you are the tribrid we have been searching for' he said. Still looking at me. Now i get a seer told him the tribrid is here and she will try to enter is mind. But their are so many females here he can't tell for sure who is trying to enter his mind. So he is trying to look for any female with power or authority that he can investigate or something. But nobody has tried to enter his mind until he wanted to dance with me so he is suspecting that I am the one but he has no clue, so he is trying to look for a reaction from me.
'What if I am the tribrid' I said smirking. He was shocked his eye widen.
