'Why do I feel like you're only rubbing it in by saying that?' Van replied to the system while while mourning the loss of so many points he had yet to earn.
[I think you should hold out your hand and receive the training manual maybe it will help ease the pain you're feeling.] Nora said in a voice that was understanding while having an undertone of sarcasm, showing that she was obviously amused with the current situation.
Van held out his hand and a thick brown book materialized out of particles of light in his hand. The cover read "Heaven and Earths Combat" in a beautiful calligraphy. Seeing the combat book he received it definitely helped ease the pain of having a negative shop point balance. Still he wanted to know what was in the book and what kind of fighting style it was.
He opened the cover of the book deciding not to ask Nora so she didn't have the opportunity to further rub in the fact of how many points he would have to earn. It was hellish getting the first hundred now he had to do that 49 more times.
Upon opening the book the first page said "When the heavens and earth clash only the chosen can stand it's storm." After reading this Van wondered what the statement meant but didn't think too much deeper into it before turning to the next page.
When he turned the first page as he touched the page he saw a vision of terribly violent raining down on earth destroying the ground where it struck as tsunamis rose high into the cover of clouds clashing around. The earth was quite literally shaking as mountains were forming and collapsing in mere seconds due to the massive earthquakes while a lone man stood within the chaos as nothing around him was effect by the lightning, tsunamis, and earthquakes as if he was the eye of all of this storm of devastation.
The vision lasted only around 30 seconds and when it was over Van couldn't help the shock on his face. He didn't know what that vision was but he knew the information in the book would be directly assimilated into his brain so he assumed that was what this was.
Looking at the second page he read (read the book from back to front for the heaven combat style best for those with affinity to space, lightning, wind and other heavenly effects, read the book from front to back for earth combat style best for those with affinity to water, earth, magma and any other worldly happening or effect.)
Seeing this Van thought to himself 'Now that I see this book I'm surprised I'm not more in the hole than 4900 points… I guess I should thank Nora…. Wait no I shouldn't, she didn't even let me decide if I wanted this.'
[It was by far the best option, even among the more expensive options for you and your group to have optimal combat styles this is top tier, I'm surprised it didn't cost you 40,000 shop points honestly you're lucky.] Nora added in reminding Van that she was a part of his mind and anything he thought she also heard.
After receiving the book and doing all of these things the time was coming up on 8am and he could hear as the others started to get up and move about their rooms. He decided to go down to the kitchen and wait for everyone to meet at breakfast so he could explain the plan moving forward where they would all learn the fighting style best for them, in addition to the daily sparring they would do to increase their combat experience and increase Van's stat points.
