Chapter 44 - A Genuine Treasure

Soon the entire group met in the dining to take part in their usual group breakfast routine. As they were sitting the two house keepers who the group found out were name Shiro and Shuna brought out a plate of food for everyone to eat. Today is was well decorated waffles with fruits on them with chicken and juice on the side.

The group looked at the delicious breakfast and began talking about their individual training and just chatting.

Van wanted to wait until they finished eating to show everyone the book he conveniently stored into his ring and go over his proposal for a new training regiment.

Alas Max called the attention of the group before the finished eating, "EhErm everyone can have your atttention for a bit…" after saying this he waited until the entire group was paying attention before he began to speak.

"…Alright, it's good we've all been diligently doing our trainings but I don't think it will be enough the trial will be a long and arduous task. I'm sure there will be a lot of fighting and combat so I think we should practice hand to hand combat as well as combat with out abilities…."

"…I'm not a martial arts master so I can't show you how to fight perfectly but I can show you some punches and kicks and we can start sparring everyday so we have more experience when the trial begins." Max said in a serious tone, hearing this Erika and Van nodded while Elise had a thoughtful expression.

For James, Todd, and Lucia hearing this was like a reality check what they had been pushing to the back of their minds the entire week was finally brought to the surface how would they fare in such a life or death situation was anything they were doing now actually even worth it.

After a moment of silence Elise spoke up, "I was actually trained by a martial arts master since a child so I may be able to help everyone progress faster." Hearing this James, Todd, and Lucia perked up a little if it was some credible source they didn't think the training would be for naught.

The training provided by the labyrinth for their abilities was only basic training, yet if compared to themselves from a week ago they were real superhero's being compared to civilians.

"Actually I was going to wait to bring this up but I actually got something for all of us to use that will help us learn a fighting style almost instantly." Van said while pulling the manual of Heaven and Earth combat out of his ring.

Seeing the manual everyone was initially confused as to how a book would teach them a combat method almost instantly until Van began explaining.

"This book is the manual for Heaven and Earth Combat when you tough the page it will instantly integrate the information from the page into your mind along with prior users experience using this fighting style." Van finished leaving the group in awe, all of them thinking where did he get this treasure and when did he have the time to obtain something like this.

Before anyone could reply Van continued speaking, "James, Todd, Erika, and Elise if you want you should read from front to back you don't have to actually read juts touch the pages in that order also don't go overboard and do them all at once unless you want to progress slower due to information overload…."

"Lucia, Max and myself will read from back to front because the book depicts 2 different fighting styles." After hearing this the group became even more astonished Van had a genuine treasure in his possession.

"We'll I guess there's a good reason why you're the leader then haha!" Max said while slapping Van on the back almost all of them had the same thoughts whether they admitted it or not but none of them had a way to do something of this magnitude. Max was probably the only one that could but he came to find out when trying to teleport back to their home planet it was as if there was an extremely dense and thick barrier that cut off his connection to even locating where their home planet was.
