Chapter 5 - Circumstances

'Would the host like to roll for their second blessing now or would the host like to wait, also the host can leave the secluded place now as there shouldn't be any more occurrences today that could cause a scene.' The system inquired while informing Van of his current status.

'I haven't eaten in a while so I'm going to go get some food' Van replied.

'How do I leave here…' as soon as he began to ask the system that he found himself waking up in his body.

'The host will not be able to return to that space within the true universe until the host has accomplished his goal' the voice of the system sounded in his head as he rubbed his groggy eyes.

Van was surprised to feel much lighter when he got up to stand he jumped and hit his head on the ceiling.'Good lord did my body really change this much? Lola help me out I can't go out there with no control of my body they already think I'm off my rocker.'

'The host has just awakened probably the most coveted bloodline in all of existence and received a blessing from their greatness, the host body has changed a lot and this planets gravity isn't on a level where your new strength is normal. The host has to adjust.' That angelic voice sounded in his head as the system explained to him his current situation.

Hearing this Van was a little sad there wasn't just some easy and simple solution but he said 'Fine.' And began to move slowly to make his way out of the concealed space in the library. When he got outside of the library he was surprised to find out that the sun was hanging at its peak in the sky.

This had to mean that he was hiding in the library for an entire day 'Now how am I going to explain this one?'

Just as he walked into the courtyard and was thinking this his best friend Max came walking towards him. He and max's friendship was an odd one to say the least since both of them were more of loners but somehow they were the best busy and every time they got together it was almost like neither of them was ever a loner as they seemed like the most extroverted people in the world

'Hmmm interesting…' the voice of the system sounded in Van's mind.

"Yoo Van where ya been, missed you at dinner last night I heard yesterday you saw one of the doctors sent by the state?" Max began to check up on Van.

"Ah… yea I got busy but yea some lady came here yesterday we talked and she asked me a lot of questions but I think I'm better now." Van replied not wanting to spill all the beans and look weird outing himself to his best friend.

"Well that's good but why were you in the library? You don't even like readying aren't you more into video games?" Max pointed out something that was obviously skipped over.

"Uhh… the doctor told me to take these pills and check out a few books that would help me so I was here and ended up falling asleep while reading." Van quickly came up with a cover story finally feeling like the 1000% intelligence boost wasn't completely useless.

"We'll that makes sense…" after saying this max looked around, after seeing no one was around he grabbed Van's hand and disappeared from where they were reappearing in a forest.

"Look I know this is weird and I don't have time to explain how I did what I just did just be careful of anything that has to do with the state and the government there's some pretty fishy stuff going on.." Max told his friend and before waiting for a reply he put his hand on Van's shoulder and they appeared back where they were.

"WHAT THE F—!" Van started but before he could finish max had covered his mouth and tackled him.

"Shut up you idiot, I'll explain later but for now let's get breakfast." Max said while getting up off of Van. Wherever max had caused them to appear the sun was just beginning to shine through the trees as the sun had started its daily rise.

"Fine." Vane reluctantly said.

'What the hell was that I thought everyone here was normal.' Van began to think.

'Nobody's normal, every single person has the potential to awaken just some don't because a lot of awakenings are hereditary and others require specific circumstances to be met' the system's voice sounded in Van's mind.

'So what kind of awakening did max have?' Van asked her hoping for an answer.

'I surely don't know we will just have to wait and find out' the system sarcastically replied amused by Van's curiosity.
