Gritting her teeth in anger, Kim halted her steps when the announcement was made.
"I gonna deal with your ass later," Kim muttered in disgust before turning toward Alec.
Alec started sweating profusely after seeing how Kim glared at him wickedly. After watching that little fight, the anger Alec felt suddenly turned to fear.
"You better not mess around me in the future, otherwise, you are gonna have to share the same fate as that bitch could have done a while ago," Kim threatened with bloodlust eyes.
Davin who has been quietly watching the whole drama, couldn't help but smile.
"I kinda like this girl," Davin muttered inwardly with a smile.
The female soldier that spoke earlier had stepped onto the podium, in front of the student, to address them properly.
Beside her were two other soldiers carrying a camp bag with them.
Seeing this, all the students moved closer to the raised platform to have a better look at the three people in the spotlight.
"Wow, seems we have more recruits this year," The female said, looking at the crowd of students present in the room. "I'm sergeant Linda. I will be the one in charge of your test."
She paused after noticing the students looked dull on their faces.
"Come on, you guys have barely spent a day in the base. You all need to be strong. If you're like this, I highly doubt you can stand a chance against the weakest tier of demons. Give me attention! Show me your soldier vibe! Soldiers!"
"Aye!!" All the students answered in chorus.
A smile crept to Linda's face seeing how she had successfully woken the dull spirit of the students.
"I love this. This is how real soldiers should behave," Linda said. "Before, the test begins. I will like to give you guys some piece of advice."
Turning at the two men beside her, she nodded her head, signaling them to proceed with the plan.
The men stepped a little forward toward the students to have a better look at them. Looking at the crowd of students there, black objects like wristwatches started appearing on their wrists.
"What the fuck?!" Alec screamed, pulling the object encircled around his wrist "Come on Davin, pull this out for me."
Davin stood there with no reaction, even after the watch appeared on his wrist.
"Sorry friend, these objects can't be pulled off our wrists. Believe me that you will only end up draining your energy for nothing," Davin replied with a sly smile.
Not only Alec had that reaction cause those that know nothing about the object also reacted the same way as him.
The few students who knew what the wristwatch was, chose to remain calm and save the remains of their energy for the test.
"W-What ability has those two?" Alec asked in utter bewilderment.
"Telekinesis ability users, I guess," Davin nonchalantly replied.
"Telekinesis? Was that how they were able to pull those objects to our wrists?" Alec curiously asked.
"Yeah, telekinesis abilities are known for moving stuff from one place to another. But those once that uses eyes to move objects are high-level telekinesis users," Davin continued to explain.
But at a time in Davin's explanation, Alec lost concentration while looking at the information his system gave him about the two men.
[Mystique reading….]
[Name: Carter Elrod]
[Race: Human]
[Ability: Telekinesis]
[Level: 7.1]
[Blood group: A-]
And
[Name: Bruce Elrod]
[Race: Human]
[Ability: Telekinesis]
[Level: 7]
[Blood group: O-]
"Two telekinetic brothers," Alec thought.
"Hey, dude. Hey, Alec," Davin waved his hands in front of Alec's face when he noticed he was no longer listening to his explanations.
"I'm sorry, I kinda got carried away with thoughts," Alec uttered, pushing his system display aside.
After the two men had successfully moved the watches to everyone's wrist, they stepped back to allow Linda to continue.
"Placed on your wrist is your lifeline in this academy. It will identify you as a student of this military base. It will also allow you to access certain areas in the school, pay for food, and all sort of other things. It is still unactivated now but don't worry, after the test, it will automatically activate itself."
"When the wristwatch is not in use, it will display a number -corresponding power level."
All sounded to Alec like she was speaking some strange foreign language, and from the confusion on some students' faces, he was sure he wasn't the only one having difficulty understanding what the sergeant was saying.
He looked at Kim for answers but seeing her usual straight face and cold face on display, he knew he wasn't gonna get answers from her either.
Alec had believed his life was gonna change on coming to school but it appears it still gonna be the same as before.
Seeing the confused look on the student's face, infuriated her to the core. "These children, they are just too dumb," Linda muttered.
"We will immediately begin testing your respective level. Don't move until you are called forward, understand?!" Sergeant Linda shouted and everyone just nodded in silence.
"Good luck, soldiers!" Linda shouted with a smile that contradicted her angry face.
The test began with a somewhat grouping of students into five. Students were grouped into five.
"Hey, Alec. We still need two more people 'cause we are three here," Davin uttered in worry. "No one is gonna join us now. Most of them have gone over to the group with people they think are strong."
"And you think I'm not strong, huh?" Kim asked with an angry voice as she took one step toward Davin whose legs were already shaking in terror.
"No…No. T-That not what I meant. Y-You are strong." Davin stuttered with cold beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
"I thought you are strong?" Alec muttered inwardly.
After some seconds of thought on who to choose, Davin suggested.
"I think it's best we chose that boy that caused a scene earlier with her."
Hearing that Kim snapped in anger.
"Don't you dare otherwise I'm out of this little group of yours!"
As if Byron heard what Davin said, he immediately walked to the group of three.
"Hey, guys. Since you aren't complete yet, I thought to come to join you guys. Hope there's no problem with that?" Bryon asked with a smile.
Kim spoke up before anyone else in the group could.
"Hell no. There is no way I'm accepting him here!"
"Come on, Kim, this is just a group for the test. Not like we are gonna stick together for the rest of our days here," Alec finally spoke out, frustrated at how she saw making things difficult.
"I solely agree with Alec. I think it's a good idea if the boy joins us. Even at that, we still need to find the fifth participant," Davin added,
"Can I please be the fifth person?" A girl spoke out of nowhere.
Turning to Byron's left, a silver-haired girl could be seen, smiling nervously at the group.
Around her waist was a sword fastened, while most of her body part was covered with basic steel armor.
Davin was the first to speak up out of excitement.
"Sure, why not. You are a member of the group already."
Alec nodded his head in response to Davin's decision and Byron also did the same.
Kim, having no other choice but to agree, the group was registered for the test.
Several groups were called as the test went on. Many groups were called before it finally got to Alec's group.
"Next group, Alec Phil, Davin Hart, Silver Heley, Bryon Windsor, and Kimberly cole. Come forward and take up your test."
