"I'll have another beer."
A man sitting by the counter told the bartender.
"Sir...I think you've had enough." The bartender expressed his worry.
"Huh?!" The man grunted as he squinted his tired eyes at the bartender.
"You're not my mother to tell me when I've had enough." The man snarled as he spat his response.
The bartender sighed as he look at the man in pity. He opened the small fridge underneath the counter, pulling out another bottle.
Adding to the already dozen of empty bottles on the counter.
The man drank from the bottle directly after the bartender opened it for him. He turned his groggy head to the small flat screen tv on the ceiling.
"Mr. Dartman, are the rumors regarding Flower Inc.'s newest invention true? And how much of it is accurate?"
The man being interviewed had to squint his eyes as he answered the bombardment of flashes and microphones crammed in front of him.
"Yes, the rumors surrounding our most recent creation as well as our company's greatest, they're completely true." The man flashed his typical confident smile.
"With AuraTransfiguration, we can completely undo the damage humanity has done to our wonderful planet. We can save ourselves as well as help in the evolution of all life on this planet."
The news interviewers were shocked by his bold and unbelievable statement. Their shock only lasted a moment before they began asking more questions. Their voices overlapping with each other, making their questions incomprehensible.
The man's smile turned wider as he watched the interviewers tussle with each other. Trying to get him to respond to their own questions.
"Alright, alright. No need to compete. I'll answer each and every one of your questions. And I can guarantee! That all of you will be more than satisfied by the end of this interview." He stated as he looked at everyone. He seemed to enjoy being the center of attention.
The man in the bar watched the interview for a while before he cringed and looked away.
He finished the bottle in his hand before standing up from the stool. He paid with cash before wobbly walking away.
The bartender watched him leave, worry was written on his face before he looked down and muttered.
"It's not my place to worry."

The man walked and stumble as he made his way back home, not paying attention to his surroundings.
"Ah-!" The man groaned as he pushed himself up. He had tripped on a raised concrete slab that was part of the street.
The man, disoriented and tired. Didn't care that he was causing a disturbance to the sleeping homeless.
He finally got himself up before continuing on his way.
*SLAM!*
The man was pushed into an alley way. And dragged onto a wall.
"Give me all the cash you got on your wallet! And do it slow or I'll slash your throat, you miserable drunk!!"
The man felt something cold and thin pushed into his skin. The man in front of him only need to exert a little more pressure to draw blood.
"L-listen, I-I already spent it all when I was at the bar. I don't have anything but my credit and debit cards."
"Bullshit! I can tell from your digs that you make some money. I bet you're some rich dick that stumbled his ass here!!"
The man yelled profanities at the man, seemingly disdainful of him.
"No! I...I am only an accountant. I don't make much money!" The man was sweating through his clothes and his body trembled.
"Accountant?! Hahahaha!! You take me for a fool!!? What accountant wears a name tag from Flower Inc.?!"
The man paled as he remembered that he forgot to take off his name tag after finishing his shift.
The deranged man revealed a sinister grin and spoke.
"Dr. Blake sends his regards." The man said as he revealed a small camera hidden in his shirt.
"He'll enjoy looking at you're pathetic self after I send this to him." He licked his lips and stabbed the drunk man in the chest. Accurately piercing his heart.
The drunk man felt a piercing pain in his chest and collapsed before he could understand what just happened.
"Hehe~!" The man laughed before disappearing into the alleyway.
***
The drunk man felt something rising up through his throat.
"Blegh!"
Blood spilled onto the cold, dirty floor. His body felt cold. And fear overwhelmed his body.
He knew that it was impossible to survive. He felt that his heart was pierced and that in a few seconds. He would die.
The man grieved as his eyelids fought to stay up. Ignoring the fact that his co-worker sent an assassin to kill him, he thought of everything he did in his life.
He showed a bitter smile and thought.
"Did I ever do something, that was worth... anything?"
