"Mh..."
Laying his body on the trunk of a tree was a boy. He was seemingly asleep before he hesitantly open his eyes.
He looked around suspiciously before he exclaimed.
"The hell!?"
The boy yelled a cussed before abruptly standing up. Only to faceplant on the soft grass.
"Ah...my hands!!" He screamed as he looked at his stubby hands.
His high pitched voice echoing throughout the forest.
"Is- Am I dreaming?" The boy calmed down.
He sat up and pinched himself.
"...."
The boy continued to pinch himself, adding more strength by the second, to the point his skin started to rip.
"Hagh, hagh, hagh!" The boy started breathing heavily as he realized.
This wasn't a dream.
"Wha- What the hell is going on?!"
He grasped his head as he started to recount what happened before.
"I...My name is Samuel Johanna. I am a scientist that specialized in medical and chemistry. I was at a bar and then robbed and killed in an alleyway."
"I died after I was stabbed in the heart by an assassin sent by my co-worker. But, how..."
"HOW AM I ALIVE?!" He felt anxious and scared.
A normal reaction for someone that just died.
"My hands, no, my entire body! I've shrunk or rather... my body regressed into that of a childs!!"
He was confused for a long time, before that confusion slowly turned into excitement.
After having calmed down, he thought about it more and thought.
"I don't know why my body turned into a childs or even why I'm in the middle of a forest. But, this is an opportunity."
The boy quickly adapted to his current circumstances.
He took a deep breath of air. Which, for the record, felt strangely pure.
After taking his deep breaths, he observed his surroundings.
The forest was beautiful. Leaves eloquently fell from the trees, the shining sun piercing through the natural canopy of the trees. Showing a peaceful and picturesque sight.
"Surprised this place hasn't been bought and used to construct apartment complexes." The boy mused.
He set his vision above the trees, seeing if there's any indication of human activity. It'd suck if he were in the middle of some random wilderness.
"Oh!"
He saw smoke coming not far from where he was. Glad to find out that he's not in the middle of the woods, he ran towards it.
He didn't notice it before but he realized that he wasn't wearing anything on his feet. He was barefoot.
'What type of kid plays in the forest barefoot?' He thought
He reached what he assumed to be a campsite but actually turned out to be a small village.
"What the? Am I in some farmland?" He surmised
'Doesn't matter. I need to learn where I am first.' He shook his head.
He walked to the nearest house and lightly knocked.
House may not be the correct way of addressing this 'thing' as it seemed more like shabby shed than a house.
Opening the door...was a normal looking woman.
*Gulp* Of course that's only if you ignore her ginormous ti- breasts.
"Jamie! Your mom was looking for ya' a while back. You got'er all worry for nothin!" She scolded while chuckling lightly
'Mom? So, I live here?' The boy whose name turned out to be Jamie was surprised.
"Wait..I have a...mom?" His eyes shook as he quickly controlled himself
"I see. Thank you" He quickly excused himself and ran away without looking up. Fearing that his eyes will be drawn to her bust again.
"Jamie! If ye see Joseph tell'em to hurry his ass back home, dinner's gonna be ready in a few."
He didn't respond as he kept his head lowered.
"Jamie!"
"Jamie, tell yer ma, that her meat pie was divine!"
"Jamie! Got yerself dirty again?! Ah! Thank God I don't have children."
The villagefolk called out to Jamie, trying to talk to him but stopped when they saw him with his head down and ignoring them.
They were confused but thought that he was probably scolded by his mother, resulting in his low spirits.
Jamie aimlessly walked around the village. His expression wasn't visible as his chin directly touched his chest.
"Jamie!" A feminine voice call out to him.
Jamie stopped unconsciously. He didn't recognize her voice, but for some reason he felt he did.
He turned around and saw a young looking woman. Seemingly in her late 20's she looked at him with a disgruntled expression but to him he felt as if she were a dotting woman.
"M-mom..." His voice uttered a word that he didn't recognize. He hadn't even realized that small tears were forming by his eyes, streaming down his cheeks.
Once he felt the tears streaming down his face, he blushed and tried stopping it with his baby hands.
"Honey..!" The woman, apparently his mother, looked at him worriedly and rushed to him, and kneeled in front of him. She examined his body to make sure he wasn't hurt.
"Jamie, what's wrong? Why're you crying?" She asked him in a stern voice, but her face betrayed her.
"I- A fly got in my eye." Jamie revealed his face, his eyes a little swollen.
"Ah! You got me worried for nothin..!" She gave a sigh of relief before showing an angry expression and started twisting his cheeks.
"Auugh-! So sowwy ma!!" The boy tried pulling himself away from his mother but her hands were like crab pinchers and wouldn't let him go.
"Damn right yer sorry!" She raised her voice, but showed an affectionate expression.
She gave him a bear hug of death and then dragged him into their shed.
House. *cough*
"I called ya earlier but you didn't respond so, you're foods cold." She served him a small bowl of bean soup.
Jamie looked at the small serving of food. Before looking up at her from his seat.
She was beautiful, with reddish brown hair, tan skin probably from working in the sun and thick eyelashes.
She's what most would call, a commoner beauty.
She looked at him with a sorry expression. "Sorry kid, there isn't much left from yesterday. Your father is working in the fields everyday but the lands lord isn't giving this village much of what we grow."
She poured some hot water from an old pot, warming it up so Jamie could at least somewhat enjoy it.
