Michael returned to his car, grinning all over like he had just won a lottery. The fact that he had kissed the same woman who insulted him, not once but twice amused him.
He remembered the look on her face after both kisses and he couldn't help but blow his own horn. It was so vicious that left to her, she would have killed him right on the spot if given the opportunity.
"Where are we heading to sir?" His driver asked as soon as he was back in the car.
"Keep driving! I'd tell you later on."
"Miss Diana Wellington and Michael Douglas were spotted earlier this morning in an intense kiss. It looks like something is up with those two but no one knows what," the news read that evening as judge Clinton was browsing through his phone.
"So the daughter of a bitch isn't dead yet!" He said in frustration, slamming his hand on the dining table. His wife and children gazed at him, startled. They continued their meal, knowing that one word from them would degenerate into something else, but his wife couldn't just keep shut while her husband continued to throw tantrums...
She took a bold step and asked, "What's the problem dear? You look so paranoid!"
He raised his head from his Meal, fixed her a long stare and then yelled in a loud formidable voice, "I thought I asked you to leave Me alone?"
"I'm sorry, I was only concerned about you."
"To hell with you and your concern!" He snapped and stood to his feet. At that moment, all he wanted was to have Diana killed. A New plan was brewing in his head already.
The screeching sounds of birds could be heard from a distance as they flew about flapping their wings...
The night was cool and was just perfect for a Saturday, considering that the entire week had been hot.
There were over six hundred 0f them spread through the length and breadth of the space that belonged to them in the forest of doom.
They were werewolves and all From the orange pack, the biggest pack in the United States. It was the full moon and it was important that they come together on the full moon to plan their activities and movements for the New month.
Their howls saturated the air as they waited for their alpha. The second in command stood behind a tree watching Everyone from a corner of his eyes. He also had his eyes on the entrance to the forest in case of any approaching Human.
Ten minutes went by, fifteen, and there still was no sign of the alpha.
"Are you sure he's going to come?" One of them asked his friend who stood just beside him.
"And how do you expect me to know? He's such an inconsiderate being. He thinks he can treat everyone like garbage just before his father is a billionaire," the friend responded and before he could realize what was going on, he was landed two punches that sent him off his feet. He fell to the ground with a flabbergasted grimace.
"How dare you speak of the alpha in that manner?" The assailant asked, fuming all over.
"And what gives you the right to punch him?" A voice asked from a nearby distance.
They all moved their head in the direction of the speaker. It was Michael, alpha of the orange pack.
His question took them all by surprise, making them wonder if anything was wrong with him.
The Micheal they knew would have joined the assailant in battering the insolent fool who had the guts to speak against him.
"He just insulted you, my lord," the young lad responded, panting heavily.
"And when did you turn my defender? You should have called the attention of the gammas," he chided, patting the assailant on the shoulder...
"I'm sorry my lord. I was just concerned."
"That's okay," Micheal said and walked to the front of the pack. Over six hundred pairs of eyes stared at him as he spoke.
He began to speak almost immediately, while they kept mute.
"The red pack is daring us to a battle and we need to be ready."
"The red pack?" They asked in unison. The red pack was one of the fewest packs but they had never been defeated in battle. Their army is made up of skilled veterans who have fought and won numerous battles over the years, hence the surprise.
"Yes, and we have only a month before the battle. This is a battle that would decide the fate of our pack." If they lose, they'd become omegas for the red pack or they'd be killed.
Diana was working non-stop on her laptop in a bid to complete some work assigned to her.
She had to complete it before the new week commences as she wouldn't have the time. She was going to be in court most of the time.
She yanked the third document in the pack and began to type aggressively into the computer when she heard the sound of something falling from her corridor. She paused on her work trying to catch the sound.
Before she could say, Jack Robinson, she saw a man, trying to hide away from her view. "They found me!" She sighed as she picked up her phone from the bed. She dialled the police line in a frenzy and was lucky to have them pick on the first ring.
"My house is under attack. I need you immediately." She blurted out in one breath.
"Where do you stay?" The officer on duty asked.
"House 78, Elizabeth Street, please hurry," She said and hung up.
In front of her in the corridor, she saw the men trying to break into the place.
She stared around her in search of what she could use to defend herself. She found a golf stick sitting lazily behind the bathroom door and picked it up immediately, clutching it like her life depended on it.
"You had better get this thing down immediately," the one in the middle yelled in a thick Baritone voice that sent shivers down the spine of other people with him.
"You try it if you can and see how I'd spank your ass!" Diana threatened with a wide grin.
They kept fiddling with the door, hitting it with all their might but the door didn't give way, making Diana excited. The longer the delay, the higher the chances that the police meets them there.
"Are you going to get this thing down or do you want me to do that for you?" He yelled in a thick Baritone Voice...
"It isn't giving way, would you like to try it by yourself?" One of them shot back, taking him by surprise. Just at that moment, they began to fight each other, forgetting what they had come for.
Diana hadn't been so excited in a long time as she was at that moment when she saw them fighting...
Diana continued to stare at them with the joy that the police would arrive before they were able to break the door, but she had been wrong.
The door came open almost immediately, sending shivers down her spine. Her heart began to thump heavily against her chest as the men approached her.
She clutched the golf club in her hand like her With a Smirk like her Life depended on it.
"How do you do miss Diana Wellington?" The men asked with an evil grin.
"Who are you and what do you want from me?" She asked, raising the club over her head. They had a mask over their head, making it impossible for her to know who it was.
"We are here to kill you. You know you've been crossing the boundaries for quite some time now. You never know when to stop."
"Oh, I see. You were sent by one of those sassy politicians to silence me right? Why don't you make it quick then because even when I'm dead, I'm going to haunt you and every one of them," she yelled at the top of her voice. She did that with the hope that her neighbours would come to her rescue when they hear her voice.
"Oh, is that so?" The leader said to her and then turned his gaze towards the others, "Let's do this now!" He ordered and pulled out his gun from his belt strap.
"Do you have anything you want to say before you die, miss Wellington?" The one with the pistol said and they all burst into laughter.
"I have no last wish! Just do this already and stop wasting my time!"
