Chapter 3 - 3. Indonesian Cuisine

"What is Joon?" Zahra inquired as she was leaving the restroom.

"Sorry, not at all. Recently, my phone fell; I didn't think it was broken, but it wasn't," Joon said with great assurance and a smile that didn't worry Zahra at all. Everyone present at the princess ablution station witnessed Joon's ordeal.

Oh my God, guess what's going on? I do start with prayer. You know you shouldn't yell anymore!" stated Zahra as both of her eyes expanded in menacingly

Yes, I'm sorry, Joon muttered, rubbing his head before picking up his phone once more. He was, it found out, blogging.

"Hey folks, I was in Indonesia this time. the city of Yogyakarta. The location is fantastic. The chick is also cantic-beautiful. He... he, "Saying to his camera, Joon. Those who observe him could assume he is a bit insane.

"Speaking to oneself is attractive. once more in front of the Mosque, "One older individual who happened to witness Joon's behavior while he was talking to himself claimed this.

After Zahra had finished her prayers, she returned to Joon. Not to mention, he took his phone first for the translation.

"Let's walk again," Zahra says.

Joon said with much excitement, "Ready."

Returning on her motorcycle, Zahra transports Joon to Malioboro this time. the following Jogja icon. Zahra invites Joon to walk after she parks her bike at the designated spot.

"Malioboro?" When Joon noticed the inscription, he inquired.

Zahra volunteered, "Here I am taking a photo," to Joon.

Zahra, who had a camera in her hand, stated, "Photos here are also required for tourists."

"Okay," replied Joon, who then struck a casual pose.

After shooting pictures, they walked back down Malioboro Street with their memories still fresh. Zahra started by outlining Malioboro's history from the reign of the Majapahit dynasty to the present.

"Yes, the story is cool. Oh, it's all true. Or is Zahra the only one who is fictional?" Tehyung enquired.

"History is a genuine thing, so yes. Not a work of fiction. The evidence alone is quite clear: historical structures throughout Jogja, "Zahra answered.

Despite appearing to be gripping his stomach, Joon nodded.

"Oh, it must be noon already, right? It's time to host lunchtime guests, "said Zahra.

Zahra suggested, "Okay, let's get lunch first, okay,"

Joon answered with a cheerful "Okay." He could only follow Zahra wherever she led him because he knew nothing about the area.

Zahra walked by the Korean restaurant and exclaimed, "Duh... Koreans, gotta look for this Korean food."

Just visit the mall, Zahra said.

Joon asked, "Mall?"

"Yes, Korean food is served at the mall. Take it easy, there's here," Zahra advised.

Korean cuisine? Zahra, I just want to eat some Indonesian food," Joon stated.

When Zahra heard what Joon had just stated, she was taken aback. Although they are almost to the Mall's entrance.

Indonesian cuisine? Seriously? Would you like to? Zahra questioned in utter disbelief.

Joon grinned while giving a firm nod.

It is known as Gudeg Jogja if it is a typical Jogja dish. Would you like to? It's good?" Zahra remarked.

I want to. The name is one I'm familiar with. It claims to be delectable," Joon retorted.

Although Zahra still found it hard to accept, she did as the Korean Caucasian asked this time.

Zahra suggested, "Yes, then let's not take it to a gudeg food booth which must be amazing."

Joon is invited by Zahra to enter a small alley till she reaches a still-very-traditional home.

"Zahra? Which restaurant is it? Tehyung enquired.

"Yes, this. The restaurant is here, Zahra retorted with a smile. Zahra's response caused Joon to appear perplexed.

"There's no need to be perplexed, already. I'm indeed thinking of this place, Zahra said.

But, are you certain that we'll dine here? When Joon observed how to prepare food using only firewood, he questioned with a grimace that suggested disdain. Joon periodically coughed as the smoke flew everywhere.

Zahra said, "Don't be assuming, taste the dish first. I'll be able to comment later."

Zahra addressed a staff member, "Mom, the special gudeg is 2 servings, yes," and she added, "I know."

"Okay, Ma'am. What is the beverage? pleasantly asked the waiter.

Zahra answered, "Two Mbak orange ice."

The restaurant waiter said, "Okay, ma'am, hold on a second, okay."

I'm grateful, Ma'am," Zahra said.

After waiting until the order was complete, they were given access to a menu that was incredibly tempting to taste in less than 5 minutes.

"Well, let's go, Oppa! We'll start eating now, Zahra said.

While Joon observes Zahra chowing down with relish, he appears hesitant to put the gudeg and all of its appendages in his mouth.

"Hurry up, Oppa! What demands customization? Hem?" Zahra enquired.

"You must have been starving, I know that. It has been holding the stomach straight ever since. Ah, come on! You are the one who requested a gudeg, aren't you?" Zahra stated.

"Well, yes. However, for a while, "Joon, who remained extremely unsure, said.

Zahra shook her head as she regarded it. Finally, feeling good about herself, Zahra gave her guest some food with a spoon.

"I've tried it before. Okay? Let's not simply wrap it up to eat everyone at home if you truly don't want to "said Zahra.

Joon had to open his mouth, and when he did, he couldn't help but feel the gudeg of Jogja.

"How are you? Delicious? Do you not? In response to Joon's expression, which she found odd, Zahra smiled and questioned. Zahra was silently fascinated as she awaited Joon's response.

Joon took the spoon that was still in Zahra's hand rather than responding verbally. The man consumed it all by himself. He sampled each item on his dish individually. starting with the existing gudeg, areh, chicken, eggs, and krecek.

When Zahra saw Joon, she grinned with satisfaction since he seemed to enjoy the Jogja gudeg she had suggested.

"Take care. if the food is hot. Zahra described the red whole cayenne pepper on Joon's dish as "chili".

"You know," Joon answered with a nod.

Zahra responded, "Okay... sure, that's why it was spent.

The two appeared to be eating so happily.

Zahra simply paid after it was finished, and they then headed back toward Malioboro Road.

Joon moaned, cradling his now-satiated stomach, "So full."

Let me know if the man needs to eat frequently, Zahra said.

What word?" inquires Joon.

"I said. WKKK, "Zahra laughed as she answered.

"You... know pretentiously. What then are we doing in Malioboro Zahra right now?" Tehyung enquired.

Yes, go for a stroll, go shopping, and take in the ambiance, Zahra said.

"Zahra! Do you realize that's a horse? How did they arrive?" Pointing to the andong on one of the street corners, Joon questioned.

"Want to get up?" Zahra questioned.

"Can?" Joon asked.

"It's alright. Let's go! "Zahra is invited. They crossed and went up to the andong, the coachman, who was dressed in Jogja garb.

"I want to go up, sir. Do you?" Zahra enquired.

"Let's go on. The same visitors, you say?" Coachman responded.

"He, indeed, sir. Common, "Zahra answered.

"Oppa! Let's ascend! "Zahra is invited.

"Ach! Wo... Wo..." As Joon was ready to approach Andong, he yelled.
