Chapter 6 - 6. Day Before Jogja

The door to Zahra's room was unlocked. She noticed that because of leaky tiles, the front room of his room was already flooded with rainwater.

Zahra screamed, "Oh my God! Mom! Just find a safe place in the room, okay!"

Mrs. Tatik answered, "Girl, your mom's chamber is dripping wet."

Zahra said again, "Yes you have, just come here to my room."

The night sounded rather boisterous due to the sound of the rain.

Zahra also approached her mother gently and said, "Wear your slippers, Mama! Be careful not to slip!"

"Yes, it doesn't rain for a while, but when it does, how come it leaks so terribly, as Zahra assisted her mother into her room," she grumbled. The only space that, for the time being, was sufficiently safe.

"No problem, Ma'am, we just rest here, correct? The damage to our home's roof, in my opinion, is extremely significant," Zahra stated.

Mrs. Tatik appeared dejected.

Mrs. Tatik added with a mournful expression, "Perhaps things wouldn't have been so awful had there still been males in this house."

"You don't need to be sorry for what occurred, mother. Since the roof is continually leaking, regardless of whether there are men around, Zaha claims that it is still the same situation," Zahra said.

"Let's get back to sleeping, please. Tonight still stands. Remember the house and consider it once more " to settle her mother's nerves," Zahra said. She ought to be able to keep her mother's condition in that home.

With their backs to one another, they were both lying on the same mattress. Even though Mrs. Tatik had been urged to sleep from the start, it turned out that she was still unable to do so. Just to ease his daughter's concerns, he feigned to be asleep.

The shorthand of the clock in his room had abruptly turned to the number 5 as time went fast. Zahra woke up instantly, putting her arms together and opening her eyes.

Zahra's voice vanished so deliciously with a "Haahhem!"

"I should clean the floor first because the rain has stopped before mom wakes up later," Zahra said.

After arranging the space, Zahra had a shower and then hurried outside to ask for assistance from the neighbors.

"Good morning, Mrs. Santi, excuse me," Zahra said.

Mrs. Santi, who was at the time drying clothes, remarked, "Uh, morning, Zahra. Come here."

Zahra remarked, "Wow... Mrs. Santi finished washing at this hour?"

"It's from yesterday afternoon's washing. How? Why is this time arriving here so early in the morning?" Mrs. Santi enquired.

"He... he. Yes, Ma'am, I apologize for the inconvenience. Zahra must have only come to cause problems. There isn't, Ma'am, Mr. Sar. The tiles on the leaking Mom are from the last night's extremely heavy rain. You see, my mother and I are the only ones living in the house. Do you feel Mr. Sar can be of assistance, Ma'am?" Zahra enquired.

Mrs. Santi responded, "Sit down first, yes, let me call you first."

"I see Mr. Sar is busy, sir. I apologize for disturbing you this morning," Zahra said.

"Not that busy, Zahra. How? Is it true that the home's roof tiles are leaking? "enquired Mr. Sar.

Zahra replied, "Yes, Sir. Please, please."

"Yes I agree, once you get home, I'll follow you to your place, "Mr. Sar remarked.

"I see, Mr. Sar. I appreciate that very much, Mrs. Santi. I made the first exit. I'm grateful," stated Zahra.

"Zahra, you're welcome," Mrs. Santi said.

Mrs. Santi added, "It's a shame, sir, it will be a nuisance if there are no men in the house."

"The main thing is that there is still a decent male neighbor," Mr. Sar remarked.

Then Mrs. Santi gave her husband a shoulder pat.

He exclaimed, "This gentleman!"

Arriving at her home was Zahra. She pulled out the motorcycle and left the market after that so that he could later make supper for Mr. Sar. Zahra didn't begin making breakfast for some time until she returned from the market.

Zahra told her mother, "Mom, I've prepared all the needs. Money to give Mr. Sar, I'll just take it in the drawer if Zahra hasn't come home yet."

The question was posed by Mrs. Tatik. "Yes girl, later … let mom take care of Mr. Sar. You are already willing to go to work?"

Zahra said, "Yes Ma'am, leave first, good. Assalamu'alaikum," and jumped on her motorcycle.

Zahra told her favorite bike, "Anyway, you can't be naughty, you have to be strong, don't like to be cranky."

She had already returned to Mrs. Woro's bed and breakfast. Joon had already yelled for him as he was going to dismount the motorcycle.

"Zahra!!"

"Astaghfirullah!" Zahra muttered under her breath as she stroked her chest in disbelief at what Joon had just done. In addition to shouting, Joon also approached Zahra right away and appeared to be quite eager to begin his voyage today.

"I'm sorry, it has been a while", Zahra said.

"Yes, you have been around for a while. However, I am not at all enraged with you because I am patient and compassionate. Walk together Zahra," Joon extended a warm invitation.

"Oh okay," said Zahra.

This time, Zahra will accompany Joon on a tour of Jogja City's temples.

Joon appeared to be in awe of the exquisite architecture that can be found throughout Jogja. And today marks Joon's final day in Indonesia. The aircraft ticket is prepared and ready to board for his return tomorrow.

"Zahra, the natural scenery of Jogja is absolutely lovely. If only... I still have a lot of time here,"Joon remarked, sitting next to a rather huge statue and seeking refuge from the sweltering sun.

"Thank God, Joon … if you are content during your stay here. Thank you so much for the compliment," Zahra replied, losing attention ever since.

"Next time … once more, if you have time. Play Indonesia once more. Don't forget to come over here as well," Zahra said.

Joon grinned before abruptly taking out a pen.

"Zahra .... Yes, I requested your email address," Joon said with an eager expression on his very attractive face.

Zahra said, "May...," while jotting down her email address.

Joon said, "Zahra, thank you."

"Thanks for asking. It's afternoon; how about we head home right away, Joon?" Zahra enquired.

Joon, who was still unsatisfied with his tour of Jogja, said, "Okay." But now he realized Zahra frequently daydreams. I'm not sure what was truly going through his head.

Joon unexpectedly took the initiative to ride Zahra's motorcycle once they reached the parking area.

Joon said as he yanked the bike away from him, "Zahra, let me be the one in front."

Zahra asked, becoming unsure of herself.

Joon remarked confidently, "Can... take it easy, the essential thing is that you will give it a sign later. Turn right and left, sure."

Zahra cautioned, "But watch out! Don't let anything happen! If you can't do it now, fix it so that I'm back in front of you."

This time, Zahra was riding on the back when they were traveling.

"Joon, the front red light does turn to the right," Zahra confirmed.

Zahra yelled "Watch out!" so loudly that it caused Joon to abruptly brake.
