Chapter 7 - 7. Mr. Wildan's offer

"Ugh! Aw! You have a plan, right?" yelled Zahra.

"Sorry!" Joon said.

"You're shocking me, Zahra!" Joon said again.

"Leave the area!"Zahra commanded.

"Don't stop midway like this," Zahra said.

Joon apologized, "Oh, sorry."

Zahra's bike was moved over by him. They halted there, and Zahra quickly took control.

"Here! Let me just," Zahra yelled.

Joon remained silent after feeling sorry.

Finally, Zahra rode her own motorcycle to bring them to the inn.

"Zahra, thank you so much. For the past few days in Jogja, you have been supporting me," remarked Joon.

"Yes, thank you Joon. Actually, I still haven't shown you all of the intriguing places in this city. Thank you and please accept my sincere apologies if I offended you throughout our time together,"Zahra said.

"Absolutely nothing is wrong, Zahra. Hopefully we can reconnect at some point. You can show me other interesting places surrounding the area. Agreed?" added Joon.

"InsyaAllah," Zahra said.

"And what is that? InsyaAllah? "queried Joon.

"What is our hope for Joon, if God permits," Zahra responded with her trademark grin.

Joon nodded and said, "Ooh... so yes?"

Joon whispered in his heart, "I don't think I'll ever forget that smile."

They also parted ways by shaking hands.

"Joon, take care and best of luck to your Korean house," Zahra advised.

"Thank you once again, Zahra. Yes, this is intended for you. Yes, it will be some time before we meet, but kindly retain it. I will undoubtedly inquire about it," as he gave Zahra a music box, Joon stated.

"Should it fail? What do you say? holding it," Zahra questioned.

"Because of this, it is protected to prevent harm. You must purchase a replacement if it breaks. It was purchased in Korea, cost a lot,"explained Joon.

"You need only bring it, it's not necessary. It's so difficult to only want to give souvenirs, "As she handed Joon the music box," Zahra grumbled.

"He… he … he. I'm sorry, Zahra, but I'm joking. You seem quite serious. It was brought by you. Who knows, maybe you'll think of me whenever you see that music box,"said Joon.

Zahra questioned, "But if it breaks down, you don't have to replace it, right?"

Joon once again laughed.

"Yes, no. You're so funny, this. In addition, I have gave you this stuff. Yes, you have the right to do that as well,"said Joon.

"And you do! Yes, I returned first. Already, I desire maghrib. Hello, Joon,"with a hand motion, Zahra spoke.

"Bye. Be careful, Zahra. We'll talk soon,"Joon yelled and waved a palm that was trembling with delight.

Long story short, Joon is now back in his native nation. The two of them have been emailing each other continuously ever since. They may message one another multiple times per day. I don't know, they always have conversation starters to share. Joon describes her life in Korea, and Zahra describes her everyday routine in Jogja.

"Zahra! He stated he wants to graduate at nine o'clock, so let's go, son."

From outside the room, Mrs. Tatik dialed her daughter's phone. In her home by herself, Zahra dressed in a silky purple kebaya, the color of his seductiveness.

Zahra answered, "Yes Ma'am, just a minute," and it turned out that she was inside emailing Joon.

"Alright Joon... I departed first for graduation. Mom has been patiently waiting since earlier. Bye."

Zahra sent Joon a final email before parting ways.

Uncle Warto and Mrs. Tatik were waiting outside the residence.

"Hurry up, Zahra! You've been patiently waiting for Zahra to emerge from her room,"Mrs. Tatik, who had been waiting for Zahra to exit her room, was invited. They instantly started walking toward the school as a group of three.

"Mom, later dad and Mas Niam will be over there. Mom truly is fine, right?"before going to her college, asked Zahra.

As she touched the princess's veil, Mrs. Tatik nodded.

"Yes, girl … it's all right," Mrs. Tatik said.

They've arrived on campus as well. Niam was already there, as anticipated, waiting for Zahra and her family to arrive. Mr. Johan, their father, was also standing behind him.

Niam welcomed Mrs. Tatik with "Mother?" before kissing the back of her hand and giving her a firm hug.

Mrs. Tatik inquired, "How are you, boy?"

"Okay. How, Mom? "inquired Niam.

"Thank God, Mom is fine" said Mrs. Tatik.

She then shook hands with Mr. Johan, her ex-husband, after that.

It didn't take long because Zahra needed to join her fellow graduates right away because it was getting late. While the family occupies a seat designated for visitors.

The graduation ceremony went without a hitch. Since then, Zahra has been engaging in steadily busier activities. Zahra continues to teach at a remarkable school in addition to serving as a tour guide for visitors. Zahra also started an internet company where she sold regional goods produced by people living close to her place of residence to markets abroad. Building trusting relationships with international visitors often offers luck of its own. Zahra found it simpler to advertise her goods.

Joon never responded to Zahra's final email a year later. Her thoughts were clouded with a mixture of annoyance, perplexity, and longing. Despite her best efforts to keep his distance from Joon from the start, she started to fall in love due to certain situations and sentiments.

Zahra tried to excuse herself by saying, "It's been Zahra. You're expecting for something uncertain. Why don't you just accept the proposal from Mr. Wildan? Obviously he is an Indonesian, and both of you are Muslims."

Yes... a man named Wildan made a proposition last month. But Zahra's small heart harbored some skepticism. Because he believed in his heart that Joon would one day arrive.

"Okay, I waited until this week to hear from you. If there is truly no news at all, I will accept Mr. Wildan's offer,"said Zahra.

After then, Zahra informed Joon through email that she would be waiting for updates for no longer than a week from the time of this communication. Zahra will wed Mr. Wildan if Joon really really hasn't heard anything.
