I sat on the bench beside Mom and Shira. Blitz stood beside me and closed his eyes. Mom looked at the ground and closed her eyes, letting out a soft sigh. Shira looked at Mom and placed her hands on her lap.
"Alright, listen up. Our story goes like this..." Mom started.
「Flashback...」
Reina walked down the corridors of her home, wearing her princess clothing. She was prepared to give a speech retaining to a certain festival that was going to happen in a few short days.
Hecate walked down the corridors, humming a little tune a knight taught her. She spotted Reina and smiled at her. "Hey sis, you should come to the lake with me. Our friends will be joining us there as well!"
"Cate! Why aren't you in your formal attire? Mama and Papa are gonna be mad at you if you don't change..!" Reina said.
"Psshh...those two don't pay any attention to me anyway. So what if I don't wear my stupid pretty dress that wasn't even made for me. I'd much rather be an adventurer like the Knights of this Kingdom!~ That way I can explore and see great sights like the Holy Peak!~" Hecate said with excitement in her voice.
"The Holy Peak? Isn't that where the Guardian of Light resides? His name is Lucius right?" Reina asked.
"Yeah but I'm not going there because of some stupid Guardian. There's a sword there that I wanna get and give to a special knight. The sword is called the Divine Katana or Prima Dynamis as the old historians call it. It's a sword made by the Ragnarok Bloodline!" Hecate smiled at Reina.
"I'm gonna climb the Peak and pull the sword out of the pedastal and it's gonna be so epic! Da da da daaaaaa!~ I've got the legendary Ragnarok Sword!~" Hecate giggled.
Reina giggled as well and smiled. "You've been playing too many video games. Come on, I'll help you change into your clothes. I don't want you getting yelled at anymore."
"Whatever." Hecate rolled her eyes and smiled.
The two women went to their room and Reina assisted in helping Hecate change into her princess attire. Hecate looked at herself and looked at Reina.
"I hate it." Hecate said.
"I know but it's just only for right now. Afterwards, we can head to the lake and hang out for however long you want." Reina smiled.
Hecate bumped her hip against Reina's and Reina laughed softly then bumped her hip against Hecate's. The two had a very close bond with one another and seemed inseparable. After getting ready and playing around, the two left the room and walked together to the city where there parents were.
A few citizens looked at the two and were amazed at their beauty, more over Reina's supernatural beauty.
"Look at Princess Reina...such a beautiful woman.." A man said.
"Yeah I envy her.." A woman said.
"What about Princess Hecate?" A boy asked.
"She's alright, but Princess Reina is where it's at.." The woman said.
Hecate heard her and subtly showed signs that she was upset at her comment. She knew she wasn't as supernaturally beautiful as Reina, but she still found herself to be beautiful.
They reached their parents and they looked at them and Reina walked up onto the stage. Hecate watched as she stood beside her father.
"People of the Kingdom of Serenia!~ Our annual festival is slowly creeping upon us and I am just as excited as you all are! This festival is going to be our grandest yet as in this festival, I will finally take the throne as Queen and be able to lead the Kingdom and keep up the legacy!" Reina said excitedly.
The people cheered and clapped.
"But...I don't want to do this alone." Reina smiled and looked at Hecate.
Hecate looked at Reina surprised and noticed her hold her hand out to her. She slowly walked up the stage and held Reina's hand.
"With my sister by my side, we shall rule Serenia together!~" Reina smiled.
"What? No no, Hecate isn't ready to rule Serenia." Their father said.
"What? Dad! I'm just as capable as Reina is to rule!" Hecate said.
"Unfortunately I would have to disagree." Their mother said. "You are still immature and childish when it comes to responsibility...and mentally you aren't prepared to handle this responsibility. I mean, you're just not as mentally capable as Reina here."
"You mean I don't have a stick constantly up my ass, huh?! What's wrong with having a little fun around here? The knights love me! The children love me! I can obviously rule and help spread some fun around this dry ass kingdom! Yeah I may not have the mannerisms of a princess, but I get my strong personality from Grandma! Reina can handle the little Queen business and I can handle the fruits of battle!" Hecate said.
The people listened to Hecate bicker with her parents and their father looked at Hecate with a disapproving expression. He laughed nervously then gently held her shoulder then leaned closer to her ear.
"Go to your fucking room. We'll deal with you later..." Her father whispered.
Hecate glared at her father and her eye twitched. Reina noticed the look of anger in her sister's face. Hecate pushed her father away then walked off back to the castle.
"I'm sorry for the...show our daughter had put on! We can finally go back to our normal schedule." Their mother said and smiled.
Hecate sat in her room and listened to the clock ticking. She lowered her head and her hair covered her face. "Stupid people of Serenia...Stupid dad, stupid mom. I'm perfectly capable...I'm mentally capable. Maybe if you paid more attention, you'd see my combat prowess.." Hecate mumbled to herself and pinched her arm constantly.
She continued to listen to the clock tick and began to grow more annoyed. She grunted and began breathing heavier, having slight purple smoke coming from her nose. She yelled and grabbed the clock then slammed it on the ground, breaking it. The sound had finally stopped and she sat in her room in silence.
An hour went by and she heard her parents walk into the room. She looked up at them and her bangs covered her left eye.
"I am very disappointed in you, Hecate." Her father said.
"Wow, what a shocker. When are you ever NOT disappointed at me, DAD?!" Hecate glared.
"You need to calm down." Her father said.
"Calm down..? Yeah I'll calm down when you two start actually paying attention to me...It's always that Mary Sue Reina and what she wants, what SHE needs. But...when it comes to me I get the bare fucking minimum..." Hecate glared and her eye color flashed purple.
"Look at you, you're actually proving my point from an hour ago. You're not all mentally there. Why can't you be like Reina, a perfect young adult. She's more capable of running the kingdom by herself. She's got the mannerisms of a perfect ruler, the magic abilities a princess needs, and most importantly, she's mentally sound." Her mother said.
"Well soooorry for being a fucking short fuse! It isn't easy being compared to my sister in whom you love more than me apparently! It isn't quite easy dealing with neglect and the only woman who cared for me truly is fucking dead! I'm sorry I couldn't be your perfect little PUPPET!" Hecate said.
Reina listened as Hecate went back and forth with their mom and dad. She was hurt that Hecate had to deal with this. She wanted to help but didn't know what to do.
"Yeah...you don't like it when I say that huh..? You're a fucking prick, DAD! And my SLUT of a mother doesn't know how to multitask between children! And you wonder why I'm so fucking unstable..." Hecate said and her eyes slightly shined purple.
Her mother walked to Hecate then slapped her across her face. "How dare you talk to us like that, you little brat?! Do you know how much we fucking do for you?! We put food on the table, clothes on your fucking BACK!"
"Wow...you do the bare minimum for your daughter...Grandma actually bought me stuff, gifts! Took me out! To her I was her little angel. What is it you hate about me? Huh..? HUH?!" Hecate stood up and pushed her mother backwards. "Tell me! I'm fucking 20! Be real with me! You obviously hate me!"
"I don't hate you...I just wish...you weren't so flawed.." Her mother said. "You're a fucking monster! You're not like us! Your hair color is even different! Your eyes glow the color of evil and you even...have that sense of evil. That evil End Bloodline feeling.."
Hecate smirked and pinched her arm hard and began to slightly peel her skin. "I'm...a monster..? Calling your own daughter a monster huh? Alright...I'll show you a fucking monster.."
Hecate walked by then and bumped her shoulder into her father's then left the room. Reina noticed her and looked at Hecate worried. Hecate walked past her without a word and mumbled to herself.
The days went by and Reina hasn't seen Hecate in the castle or at the lake at all where she usually always is. The day of the festival arrived and Reina hoped she would be able to see her sister at the festival. She got ready and left her room then walked down the corridors, hoping to see Hecate walking down the opposite side like she's always done.
She reached the end of the corridor and didn't see Hecate. She began to feel scared and even more worried. While their parents haven't thought much of Hecate's disappearance, Reina thought about Hecate daily, always checking the places Hecate loved to hide, always checking her phone to see if she texted her. There was no sign of Hecate and this worried Reina to the point of her wanting to ditch the festival and going to find Hecate, but she had to face her responsibilities of the kingdom.
She went out and headed to city to get the festival started. Some people found it strange that Hecate wasn't with her. The children and knights all asked where Hecate was, but Reina couldn't answer their questions with anything other than an "I don't know".
She decided to try and make the most of the festival without her sister by her side. She definitely felt lonely and empty without Hecate. As the festival went on she noticed a strange figure amongst the crowd. The figure was a male, a handsome male who had long black hair tied into a low ponytail, yellow and green gradient eyes, a well built and fit physique, and carried a bit of an arrogant smile. He was shirtless, only wearing a kimono jacket and black jeans with boots.
Reina's mother walked towards her and whispered something in Reina's ear then Reina nodded. Reina walked off then heard her mother groan in pain. She quickly turned around and noticed a dark energy blade through her body. Her eyes widened as her mother fell onto the ground. Her father ran towards his wife and held her body up. Everyone heard a laugh and Hecate appeared on the stage, wearing her new attire. She wore a black long sleeve turtleneck leotard, a torn black feathered cloak, black mid calf boots, and a gold plated pendant around her neck.
"Hecate!" Reina said in shock.
"Do you like my gift?!" Hecate smirked.
"You did this..?" Reina asked in disbelief.
"She called me a monster...so I showed her...a monster." Hecate laughed and her dark aura surged around her body.
"What you've done is unforgivable! You've disgraced your family!" Her father yelled.
Hecate mocked her father and laughed. "What family have I disgraced? All I see are people that are nothing to me! None of you have ever truly loved me, with the exception of Reina and Grandma. Because of that...Reina I am allowing you to find shelter...because the fall of Serenia starts today with this grand FESTIVAL!"
The man watched Hecate and had taken a strong liking to her. He smirked and decided to wait until Hecate was done to make his move.
"Children of Serenia, Knights of the Royal Army! Take your leave away from this Kingdom! I shall allow you to live and survive!" Hecate said.
Reina looked at Hecate and was scared of what her sister had become. She was planning this since the day she disappeared. She plans to wipe Serenia off the face of this Earth. She knew Hecate was more powerful than she was so she decided to listen to Hecate and run off. She whistled and Blitz neighed then galloped to her then she hopped on Blitz's back then he turned into his Flash Alicorn Mode then flew off at very high speeds.
Hecate was glad Reina left as she didn't want her to witness the murder of her father as well. "Now...old man it is just me..and you..."
