Author's Note: Filler/Backstory Chapter

Hecate spread her arms out and smirked then magic circles appeared in the sky above everyone. "Am I still too weak..? Unprepared? Do you finally notice me?! Look at my magic prowess! Are you still not impressed?!"
Her father looked at the magic circles in the sky and watched them shine in different colors. He looked at Hecate then glared at her. "You aren't strong enough, because you still can't control your emotions! You are too emotional to be a proper ruler! Too unstable to function as a normal human being!"
Hecate looked at her father then levitated slightly then floated down to the ground and stood in front of him. She kicked his face and sent him rolling backwards. "Nothing I ever did was good enough, but that's all fine now...because now you won't have to deal with me anymore." She snapped her fingers and the magic circles began to circle the area.
After setting up the magic circles, Hecate levitated up in the air and her cloak was enclosed around her body. She looked down at everyone who once made fun of her and mistreated her. Now they were all begging for mercy. She had an evil smile on her face, a smile that only had malicious intentions behind it. A smile that meant she had nothing else to lose.
She held her hand out. "Goodbye, Serenia..~" She laughed then caused her magic circles to shine then caused a massive energy blast to generate around the area causing catastrophic damage around the entire area. The blast was so powerful and destructive that it ended up reaching the castle and destroying it along with the entire city.
The male watched from the sky and smirked at the destruction. He watched Hecate descend to the ground after her attack ended. She looked at the destruction and flipped her hair. She smiled and walked away.
The male followed her and watched her walk to the lake. She sat down in front of the lake and watched the once blooming flowers around her wither away. She looked at the waters and closed her eyes. She heard someone land on the ground and opened her eyes.
"Who's there?" She asked.
"I come in peace." The man said as he walked toward her.
She stood up and turned around to look at the man. She looked at him and placed a hand on her hip. "Who are you and what the fuck do you want?"
"My name is Shidao Ragnarok. I've watched your performance in the destruction of your Kingdom. It was quite amazing." Shidao smiled.
"Oh? Heh, of course, it would be amazing. After all, I am Hecate Serene. The best to EVER do it!" Hecate boasted and smiled.
Shidao chuckled and looked out at the lake. "So you always come here after fucking shit up?"
Hecate turned around and looked at the lake as well. "I come here almost all the time especially when I have a bad day."
"I see. It is a very beautiful lake.." Shidao said.
"Mhm. I used to take the children here all the time and we have a picnic with the knights. It was overall a fun time...the one thing that kept me sane in this life other than my Grandma and occasionally my sister." Hecate said then smiled at the memories.
"You know, I've been around here for a while, and while everyone was crushing over your sister...I've had my eye on you. I personally find you to be much more attractive than her." Shidao said.
Hecate looked at Shidao with a blush on her face. "What? Are you hitting on me right now?"
Shidao smiled and walked closer to her then gently stroked her hair. "Yeah, I'm hitting on you. From the first moment I saw you...I knew you would be the one for me. You may not be the Queen of Serenia, but you can most certainly be my queen..~"
Hecate blushed even more and felt her heart racing. "No...you're just saying that.." Hecate said then looked away.
Shidao made Hecate look at him and he looked into her eyes. "I'm not just saying that...I truly want you by my side. What do you have to lose?~ Plus you'll be with one of the greatest to ever exist..~ Come on..~"
Hecate looked at Shidao. This man just professed his love to Hecate. She felt happy on the inside then nodded with excitement. "Yes!~ Yes..~ I'll be by your side..~"
"Good..~" Shidao smiled then rubbed his thumb gently along her cheek. He brought his face closer to hers then kissed her lips softly.
She kissed him back, happily. For the first time in a long time since her grandmother passed away, Hecate felt truly loved. After they shared their kiss, Shidao would take her in and they would begin to do mostly everything together. Shidao had finished his adventures around the world and prepared to settle down. More so...that's what he told Hecate.
The two had begun dating, days turned into months, months turned into a year. They've been dating for a year now and Shidao finally proposed to Hecate to which Hecate said yes to him. They held their wedding a week later and it was a grand ceremony. Shidao's friends showed up to the wedding, a few of Hecate's friends showed up and most importantly, Reina showed up.
Reina walked inside of the ballroom dance hall. She looked around dressed nicely for the wedding and she also brought a gift. This would be their reunion after one year. She was happy to see her sister again.
Reina set her gift down with all the other gifts then looked around for Hecate then spotted her. She walked to her and smiled. "Cate!~"
Hecate recognized the voice immediately and looked back, seeing Reina. She smiled and got up then walked to her. "Reina~ It's been a while since we've last seen each other~"
Reina got a closer look at Hecate and immediately noticed a few changes to her. Her hair was slightly uneven, she was breathing slightly harder, but not hard enough to the point where it was noticabl, she also noticed a few cuts on her arm. She looked at Hecate and gently held her arms.
"Cate...you're-"
"And hello, Queen Reina Serene..~ It is a pleasure to meet you finally~" Shidao chuckled softly.
Reina let go of Hecate and stepped back, meeting the presence of Shidao. She looked at him and looked surprised. "You're the man I saw at my kingdom a year ago...You must be Shidao."
"I am Shidao Ragnarok. It's always nice seeing sisters reunite after so long." Shidao smiled and wrapped his arm around Hecate's shoulder and pulled her to him. "She always talks to highly of you..~ I can see why. Everything she's said about you...is certainly true. You are a supernatural beauty.."
Reina slightly blushed then looked at Hecate. "What are you doing to my sister..? Why does she look like that? Like she's been in a terrible accident?!"
"Come on...you think I would hurt my beautiful wife? In this world one can not always escape battle, especially if you're a man like me..~ I have a lot of enemies, and Hecate here has helped me fend off my enemies, of course damage to the body is inevitable..~" Shidao chuckled. "I love Hecate with all my heart, I would do anything for her.."
Hecate smiled and leaned against Shidao. "He loves me so don't worry~ Come, we have a lot to catch up on~ We have time~"
Reina glared at Shidao and white lightning slightly crackled around her arm. Shidao smirked at Reina and took a liking to her as well. He let Hecate go and Hecate walked to Reina then turned her around and they walked off so they could talk in private and catch up.
"Cate...are you okay? You don't look so good at all.." Reina said.
"I'm okay, like he said...battle scars happen from time to time~ I always throw myself into battle because I want to protect the man I love. The man who loves me." Hecate smiled and looked at Reina.
Reina wasn't buying it, but she decided to keep quiet.
An hour went by and the ceremony started. Reina sat in a seat at the altar and watched the ceremony. She couldn't shake away the thought that her sister could be in an emotionally and physically abusive relationship with Shidao. As she listened to the vows and the words being spoken, she desperately wanted to object and crash the wedding, but she didn't have enough proof, or any at all, to support her claims and accusations.
She watched Hecate and Shidao kiss and sensed Shidao's malicious aura. The room felt colder to her. She began to get goosebumps on her arms. She rubbed her arms and watched. Everyone began clapping and cheering, but Reina wasn't happy. She was concerned and worried.
The ceremony ended and Shidao decided to take Hecate back to their home. Once they got home, he took Hecate to their room and she smiled at Shidao.
"Are we about to consummate our marriage?~ I mean we did have sex before the ceremony..~" Hecate giggled then felt Shidao slap her face. She looked surprised and looked at Shidao. "Wha- What the fuck was that for?!"
"What did you tell your sister?" Shidao asked and glared at her.
"I didn't tell her anything! What are you on about? This is supposed to be our special night! Can't this wait for tomorrow?!" Hecate groaned.
"No...It can't wait until tomorrow.." Shidao said then smirked. He pushed her down on their bed.
Hecate grunted as she fell on the bed. She looked up at Shidao. "What the hell is your problem? Don't you love me?"
"Me? Love you? A mentally unstable, unsound, and lost minded woman like you? HA! I only said those things, done those acts with you just so you wouldn't suspect me of just using you as a tool, a pawn." He said and smirked evilly. "Seems like my tactics worked, but it's been working hasn't it? You already suspected me haven't you?!"
Hecate groaned as he forcefully gripped her wrist and pulled down her sleeves, exposing her cuts on her wrist and her arms. She looked at them and looked at Shidao. Her entire world fell apart and felt like an entire lie. No...it was a lie. She's been lied to for the entire year, used, emotionally toyed with, and physically harmed.
"I don't love you, Hecate. I never did...and now since you married me, you can never escape my grasp~ Also I knew marrying you would bring Reina out of hiding. I only needed you that purpose...now that she's out. I can finally get her. She's much better than you, more stable than you, more beautiful than you are. You're NOTHING! You're WORTHLESS! You're Nobody...Nothing matters in your life...but I'm not gonna be finished with you yet...No there's still more for us to do!" Shidao laughed.
Hecate looked down and felt really stupid and defeated. The man she thought loved her, never had any feelings for her. Everything was just a facade.
The next day, Hecate woke up in a room and noticed she was sitting on a floor and chained to the floor. She looked surprised and looked up, seeing Shidao in front of her.
"Good morning, my beautiful slave." Shidao smirked.
"Let me go! You can't do this to me! I haven't done anything wrong to you! I've been nothing but loyal to you!" Hecate yelled.
"You're right, you've been loyal to me. And you're going to KEEP being loyal to me! Because you're not getting out of here...I know what you're going to do. You're gonna warn your sister about me and I simply can not allow that to happen.." Shidao said and walked to her. He crouched down and gripped her cheeks with his hand. "I'm going to break you..."
Hecate grunted and headbutted Shidao, growling. "Get away from me!"
Shidao grunted and chuckled. He let her go then stood up and stomped on her chest. Hecate groaned and cried out in pain. He kicked her to the side and glared at her. He walked away and left her laying on the floor in the basement.
Hecate slowly sat up and her bangs covered her left eye. She screamed and purple flames was fired from her mouth. She tried to break out the chains and yelled, blowing flames everywhere. Shidao listened to her and smirked then walked away from the room.
Reina sat at the park and looked at her phone, hoping her sister would text her to let her know if she was okay. She knew something was wrong. She decided to make an act to save her. She had already forgiven her for killing their parents, she still loved her sister and would risk her life to save her.
Reina whistled and Blitz neighed and appeared next to her. She got on Blitz's back then clicked her teeth and Blitz galloped ahead. "I'm coming Hecate...don't worry.."
Hecate panted and smoke came from her mouth. Her eyes shined a bright yellow and she heard Shidao entering the room again.
"Are you finished with your temper tantrum because that wasn't easy to listen to, it was very annoying hearing you scream.." Shidao said and smirked.
"Fuck you.." Hecate growled and glared at Shidao.
"Wow. You did lot of that this year relationship." Shidao laughed then looked down at her. "Listen, there's a mission I have to go on and you're coming with me. You're gonna be the bait as always. Do a good job and I'll leave you in here without chains."
Hecate glared and her eyes shined purple. "It doesn't matter if I do good or not...I am coming back down here anyway. If I wasn't chained up right now, I would've kicked your ass already! You saw me blow up my entire kingdom! I hold more power than you could ever imagine!"
"Heh...That's very cute. I have destroyed civilizations. Killed Deities. Saved the world you live on right now. There's no way you can ever beat me in a fight. Now shut your fucking mouth before I make you close it indefinitely." Shidao said then walked to her and unlocked the locks on the chains. "Don't try anything stupid. It will only end terribly for you."
Reina sensed Hecate and made Blitz hurry to the direction of Hecate's energy. She noticed Shidao and Hecate on a motorcycle, riding off. "Follow them."
Blitz neighed and entered Flash Mode and followed Shidao and Hecate.
