She looked stunning in her off shoulder, black floor length dress with cascading sequins and pearls.
Taking her phone out of her purse she picks the call.
"I am coming out." she said immediately she picked up.
Coming out, her eyes came in contact with a black SUV.
Opening the passengers sit, she enters inside the car.
"Good afternoon." she greeted him. Raising her face to look at the man inside, she couldn't hide her expression. She did not even think of ever meeting him.
"Brother!!!" she exclaimed, enveloping him in a bear hug.
"How are you doing??" he asked her returning the hug.
"Oh I am doing great, how about you??" she asks breaking the hug.
"You just left with... with your mum and-"
"It was urgent." she said interrupting him.
"Let's go." he said to her starting the engine.
"Why did you come back to Country C??" he asked her inquisitively.
"Come back, I was ( she began thinking)."
Maybe this was the country we were in before. Why didn't mum tell me about anything.
"Oh ermmm I.. my mum ma-rried someone else." she stuttered.
''Okay." he replied shortly.
Reaching the place, Adira was thankful that she did not see any reporter outside, but she had to ask George.
"There isn't any reporter, why??" she asked George while looking outside.
"It's an important event, there are reporters almost every where but mostly inside, so behave." he replied parking properly.
She come out of the car the same time as him. Probably not prepared to hear any news about herself on the radio tomorrow.
They walked into the hall, it was uniquely designed.
Adira's mouth was hung open l, as if she was about to scream but no words were coming out of her mouth, marveled by the interior. Walking in with George, immediately she felt piercing gazes on her making her to compose herself.
"Hold my hands well, don't leave me okay??" George said to her.
Looking down at their entwined hands, she began squeezing her hands our of his own, this motion of hers was noticed by him.
" Stay still, why don't you listen??" he asked.
Sensing that he was getting annoyed, she stopped struggling.
Walking together with him, she could feel the burning gazes of most people on her skin.
He takes her to sit. Sitting down on the chair, she takes a drink from a waiter that passed by, sipping it to calm her nerves.
Right now, she was a bunch of nervous breakdown. She dropped the glass on the table, rubbing her palms together.
"My dad told me that I do not have to stay for a long time and after seeing the man you introduce me to, I should leave." she told him because she couldvnot understand why she was sitting down and not meeting the person.
"So you came here to search for a husband and you are not happy being with me here." he said looking at me strangely.
She had a feeling that there was an inner meaning to his words but she did not think much of it.
"My dad said I should send his regards and explain why he can not come." She explained shortly not caring about answering the second question.
"Okay, the person I am meant to introduce you to is not available for now but rest assured he will come." George replied.
Three girls immediately walked towards them, the moment George finished talking. Adira did not wish to spare then a glance and kept on looking around with her hands tightening in her phone.
"Hey sis." the girl that was in front said.
Hearing this, she turned to her direction, looking at her very well, she could now see her face clearly.
