Bai Xi's Pov:
I removed the curtains and gazed at the person who entered. It's the same weird girl who sat beside me in the first class.
Her gaze flickered to me as well. Surprise registered on her face before it gave away to a look of delight as she rushed forward and skidded to a halt right in front of me.
"You are my new roommate?" she said with hope in her voice.
"Yeah" I said dubiously as I find it hard someone seems to be happy to get me as a roommate.
"Oh my God really! I can't believe it. The new badass in our university whom everyone is talking about is actually my roommate." She exclaimed Joyously.
I looked at her weirdly, well atleast someone is happy to see me.
Though her reaction is weird but after the day I had, her reaction seems the best out of all the other bad ones.
I said, "Good to know atleast I did make someone happy today, however weird the reason be." I happily accepted the praise and laughed off towards the end.
"Well I am not just happy, actually greatful that finally someone is here who put that dumb psycho bitch on her place and told her that the World doesn't revolve around her.
Wait until Shi Lia and Mo Xue gets to know about you being our roommate." she said mysteriously.
"Who and Who?" I queried as I didn't know either of the names she said.
"Li Mina, the bitch you almost beat off in the theatre room, which I actually regret you didn't, is the first one." She said with a disappointed sigh.
"Oh yeah," I realised as the short tempered crony number two's face came to my mind.
"And Shi Lia and Mo Xue are the other roommates beside me in this room. They both work part time in the college campus at this time, but they'll be here soon too and they'll be happy to meet you as well." She explained with a smile.
"And I am Lu Xialin, Hi, it's wonderful to meet you." She greeted with a full smile and I returned it this time.
"Hi Lu Xialin, it's good to meet you as well. I am Xin Muan" I told her the name I used to enroll in the university. For safety purposes I had changed my name to ward off my uncle or any other person he might send to look into me and this might help to misguide anyone who might chance upon me here.
Besides that, this is a very first time I have ever recieved such a warm reception from anyone. I feel good knowing atleast something nice did came out of coming here.
"Anyways all that happened is really good and badass but you need to be careful too." Lu Xialin warned.
"Why?", I asked perplexed.
"Well for starters, Li mina is not easy to deal with as you must have already guessed after seeing that attitude of hers. She herself is the daughter of a big business family in A city while her gang are all people from other big families of A city. And especially her leader Ji Nan, who is also the youngest miss from the renowned Ji family." She paused to let that digest and then continued..
"I am not trying to scare you or anything it's just everyone is scared of their families and It's good to maintain a distance from them. I mean everyone does since Ji Nan and her gang are all bullies and they usually creates lots of nuisance here. So it's good to be vary of her. She is too difficult and arrogant to reason with." I put that away to think about later. I need to look into these people to stay clear of anything and everything related to them.
"And also stay away from young master Si" she said secondly.
"Who?" I asked as I felt a frown etching on my face.
"Si Ruan, the young master from the aristocratic Si family of the capital, the nephew to the business legend Si Yihan."
All color drained from my face as I stopped breathing and I find myself hyperventilating due to lack of oxygen.
"Surely you must have heard about the Si family and it's legendary head Si Yihan?" She said before her gaze flickered to my face and she asked, "Hey are you okay? You seems a bit pale."
"Yeah I am fine", I squeaked out but the words slurred due to my inability to open my mouth and gulp oxygen through it.
"Hey, hey are you okay. Breathe, Breathe" I tried to breathe, "deep, yeah just like that."
I tried breathing deep and gulped huge amounts of air and the panic finally started to ebb away after a few moments as I tried to calm down.
God, that arrogant asshole prick, Si Ruan.
This must be the reason he was so smug today. He must know something or he wouldn't have been so arrogant. But if he knows then why he didn't say anything. He must be onto something. I need to have a word with him and continue to make him keep his mouth shut for whatever reason he didn't say anything today.
After thinking about it all my thoughts finally managed to calm down and I felt myself breathing regularly. Lu Xialin's voice registered a second later. God I finally managed to meet a decent human and this is how long my good image lasted.
Damn Si Ruan and this situation for ruining this.
"I am okayy. I am sorry for reacting that way and making you panic."
"Are you sure. You seemed panicked after hearing about Si Ruan. Do you know him?"
"No, no I mean yes. Actually no." I sighed as I stumbled upon my words.
"Hey, hey it's okay. You can tell me if you want. I promise not to tell anyone."
I don't know why I trusted her but I did. Even though I have only met her for a few moments but I felt like I can confide in her.
"Well I don't know him personally, it's someone from his family I know. Whom I might have a small fued with and I am a little worried that he might use it to his advantage to create problems with that. Because I have heard he is notorious for his reputation." I confronted. I don't know why I trusted her so much to say this but I did, maybe because of the warmth in her eyes which made me feel comfortable.
"Yes and you have heard right. And it's good that you are aware about it. Atleast this way you can avoid him."
I nodded at that.
