"Daddy!" A little girl's voice echoed through the stairwell, making Sam and Desmond look in the direction of the voice.
A little girl hopped down the stairs, giggling and holding her teddy bear in one hand. She approached Doctor Henry and hugged his legs while erupting in fits of laughter.
Doctor Henry held the little girl closely and said to her: "Nora, say hi."
"Hello," the little girl now known as Nora said, shyly, still clinging onto Henry for dear life. She looked back at Henry with gleeful eyes. "Daddy, when can we go home?"
"Very soon, sweetheart. Daddy just needs to finish up some last-minute things in the hospital before we go home," Henry patted Sam's head, his gaze never leaving his. He wondered what she thought of him. She probably thought that he was a monster.
He also wondered how come he couldn't recognize her when she has first rushed to the hospital some nights ago.
