A knock resounded on the door, and Sam hurriedly went to open it. Ann and Maggie badged into the room, all excited, and Sam wondered what was the cause of their excitement.
Moving away from the door, Sam asked, "What is making you both so happy?"
Ann and Maggie giggled more as they stepped into the room, and it piqued Sam's curiosity all the more.
"We heard that..." Although Ann was older than Sam by two years, she always acted like a little girl.
"We heard that the mistress is pregnant!" Maggie completed Ann's statement. She was also excited. They'd never heard the sound of a baby in the mansion before, and this would be the first.
Sam shrieked. "Uh?"
"Some of the maids who were in the kitchen when Baron was talking to the boss earlier today told us," Maggie shrugged. "Since you say that we're your friends, then there's no need to be shy. We will help you through the whole process."
