Aunt Maggie was so overwhelmed. She was shocked that she didn't notice the female who had been standing by his side. She didn't know what to say. Diane who had been anticipating for a long conversation between her and Damien was strucked, she just said "Ehm, okay see you later" and hurried away.
Aunt Maggie was about to utter some words when an elderly woman came towards Damien. Damien was glad to see her and so was she. "Damien, my little pumpkin, I have always missed you. You decided to punish me by flying away from me honey", she spoke as she touched his cheek.
"Granny, I've missed you very much", he pulled her towards himself and gave her a warm hug. Granny pulled herself from him and started complaining, "I'm happy to see you here, dear. Your Aunt hasn't been faithful to me at all. She didn't bother to give me the phone to call you. She says phones aren't good for my sight, but she doesn't know how strong my sights are".
Granny noticed Julie, "Who is she, pumpkin?". He responded while holding his Granny hand to shake that of Julie, "Granny, she's my girlfriend, She goes by the name, Julie". Granny flunged Damien's hand away "hush!!, hush!!! of course I can see her, let the beautiful lady say her name herself". Granny placed her hands on that of Julie , "Your name sweetheart?". Julie answered sweetly, "I'm Julie, Granny". "You are such a beauty, I can't wait to have grandchildren as beautiful as you are, sweetheart....".
Aunt Maggie coughed out, the others involved in the conversation knew it wasn't a real one. Then Aunt Maggie interrupted, "She's just his girlfriend not his fiancee, mum". Granny scoffed, "Dear, I'm an old wise woman not an old stupid woman. When I say she is, she is!".
The old woman drew Damien closer to her and whispered into his ears "She thinks you will marry, Diane", then she burst into laughter .
"Damien, can i have a private chat with you?", Aunt Maggie requested. Damien turned to Julie and said to her "I'll be right back, darling" and he turned to Granny, "please excuse me, granny". "You can go, pumpkin. But don't fall for her tricks", she said out then she started to laugh while Aunt Maggie and Damien walked away.
Granny held Julie's hand and said to her "What do you think of my grandson, sweetheart?". Although Julie was shy she spoke, "Well, he's a good man". She said shyly. "Is that all you can say about him, honey?. You don't have to be shy around me, dear. Look at him over there. Tell me, What do you see?". She turned Julie's face calmly to where Damien stood. Julie was dazed at what the elderly woman had said. Julie did as she said, she didn't want to disappoint Damien's lovely Granny. So she looked towards Damien.
