"Damien, you didn't tell us, you will be bringing your girlfriend neither did you tell us you had one", she said calmly. "Yeah, let's call it a surprise, aunt", he said to her ridiculously. "No Damien, I told you I was gonna introduce you to a girl who I'll love, you marry, and you didn't tell me you had someone, you just said nothing", Aunt Maggie protested. "Aunt Maggie, I didn't know you were serious". "Damien, what do you mean?, when it comes to you son, I'm always serious and you know that I always want the best for you, dear. After your parents death, I vowed to take care of you and give you the best and that is what I want for you, Damien". Damien replied coldly, "Aunt Maggie, I appreciate all you've done, you've taken good care of me, and I don't know how to repay you, but right now I am old enough to take care of myself".
"I know dear, I'll be satisfied and feel paid when I see you married to a woman that will do better than I did", she said while holding his hand, passionately.
"Aunt Maggie, Julie is that woman", he said as he held her hands.
Aunt Maggie immediately took off her hand after hearing what he said and she objected, "Julie who?!, Don't tell me that Damien, we barely even know her". "You'll get to know her, Aunt Maggie", he assured her while placing his hands on her shoulder.
Aunt Maggie pulled his hands away and said to him furiously, "Damien, I'm not in approval of her being your girlfriend and there's nothing that's gonna change that, so it's better you take her back to where she came from". She walked away furiously.
Damien cared less of what she had said. He was about walking away when a young girl ran towards him while she called out, "Monkey!!!".
Damien was overjoyed to see the young girl. He bent and pulled her into his arms and lifted her up. "Monkey, i missed you", She said cutely.
"I missed you too, Banana", he said and they both chuckled.
Suddenly, a young beautiful lady came towards them. It was obvious she had been running after the young girl. She then said to the young girl, "Nora!!, why did you leave like that?". The young girl replied "Mummy, I did not..". The beautiful lady didn't allow her finish and scolded her "Come down now!!! Nora!!". Nora turned to Damien, "Monkey, mummy has been harsh to me".
"Really?, why will mum be harsh to my sweet, sweet, banana", he said to the girl.
"I don't know, Monkey", she answered innocently.
Nora's Mum was trying not to get furious, so she calmly said to Damien, "Damien, please put her down".
He turned to Nora's Mum "Anna, you shouldn't get harsh or angry with her, you know she's still little". "Yes I know, thanks, just bring her down", she replied briskly.
