Ella POV
Standing from the sidelines, the four of us had a perfect view of what was unfolding before our eyes.
I had heard stories from my father and some of his Alpha friends about the challenges they had faced. They would sit around with tumblers of scotch and talk about the fights as a war hero might.
Of course, these stories always came from the winners of the fights, so I always assumed they only contained a hint of truth.
Seeing an Alpha challenge take place in real life, though, it was easy to tell those stories had been greatly watered down.
Even though I had never seen Adam shift before, it was obvious he was the larger of the two wolves. From the distance we were at, both wolves had blood on them. It was only as Adam took a quick lunge and landed on three legs I saw there was a gash along his shoulder.
I glanced over at the others, but no one moved. All we could do was watch and either congratulate Adam at the end or challenge Ian if the worst came to pass.
