Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Jason and Jordan stood in a empty warehouse. There was only one thing in this giant warehouse. And that was a massive blue portal. It was pulsing and Jason could feel the gravitational pull of it. It was calling to him and pulling him in as if it was a black hole.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS? WHAT IS THIS?" Jason screamed out loud. He stared at Jordan and them at the pulsing portal.

"It's a portal..."

"WHAT IS THIS? WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS? OH MY GOOOOOD! I... I... I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY... WHAT IS THIS?"

Jordan slapped Jason and brought him back to his senses. "I told you it's a portal you bellend now stop shouting, we got neighbours that we have to be considerate about."

Jason slapped his face. His face was so numb that he could not feel the pain from it.

"This is one awesome dream, I'm gonna be waking up soon." Jason said.

"This isn't a dream Jason, this is reality." Jordan said. "This is my gift to you..." Jordan motioned at the portal.

"My gift... for what?" Jason asked. What did he do to receive a portal as a present? Did he save Jordan's life? Only in online matches. Did he hook him up with a girl? No, he couldn't even chat to his own girlfriend because he was too busy playing video games to let alone talk to another female that was not his mother or sister.

"It's your birthday!" Jason raised an eyebrow.

"My birthday? We're in January my birthday isn't for another 10 months... "

"Mate... what the fuck are you talking about? We're in November! This is why I said you got to stop playing video games and touch some grass every once in a while. Look at your face, you look more pale than those vampires in twilight."

Jordan turned and put his hand around Jason's shoulder. "This is the manifestation of your wet dreams. I have been working on this for 6 years and have burned over 200 million pounds into this project. This is my greatest invention and it is for you."

Jason did not know what to say. What could he say? He was already mind blown by the fact that he was standing in front of a portal to even process the words Jordan had just said.

"Jason... if you walk beyond that portal then you will find the thing that you have wanted your entire life... a world filled with magic, dragons and all that fantasy bullshit. For a video game addict like you, you will be having the greatest time of your life. Now you can either take the red pill and live your best life or you can take the blue pill and decide to live a normal life in this world."

"What are you talking about?" Jason said. "Of course I'm going in." He said as he tried to go into the portal. Jordan caught his arm and pulled him back.

"That's good because if you refused I don't know what I would have done, I spent way too much time and money on this... but let me explain the game to you." Jason decided to listen to Jordan.

The world behind the portal was a world that was filled with magic, monsters, dragons, magical creatures and things outside the boundaries of common logic. There were dungeons, labryinths, towers and many other things.

"So it's basically an RPG?"

"When you over simplify it... yeah. It basically follows the plot of a classic RPG game. There are NPC's that give you quests, classes, sub classes and other players."

"Other players? I thought I was going to be the first person in this world."

"I had to sell some low quality portals to some rich folks so that I can make some money to properly produce this portal. There is only like 20,000 players in this world but you will be the only person who goes through the perfected portal. You will have immersive playing that is far superior to the other players. You wouldn't want to play in a world that is only filled with NPC'S no?"

"That is true, a game without other players isn't that much fun compared to games with other players."

"This world is set in a world where the planet is 100 times the size of the sun..."

"I'm sorry what? 100 times the sun? That world is way too big. Are all the people midgets?"

"No. This is a video game, you don't need logic. But anyways it's time for you to pick out your character unless you want to make your own character."

Jordan pulled out his phone and passed it to Jason. "There are several choices in there. If you decide to pick any character that I made you will have all their advantages so that you can start of the game more easily but if you decide to make your own character you will be starting from zero."

Jason swiped the screen as he looked at the characters Jordan had made.
