Chapter 3 - 3. New character

"Atthera wait!"

Hearing someone call her name, Atthera suddenly looked back with a forced smile on her lips. She had to look friendly, right? Even though right now she didn't want to talk to anyone.

Last night's incident, where she saw Kafka and Thea walking hand in hand at the mall slightly spoiled her mood until this morning. How dare that girl walk with her boyfriend. Someday, Atthera made sure she would get her reward.

"Why?" she asked kindly to a girl who Atthera knew was one of the bad girls in her school.

The two of them were standing in front of the school lockers. The girl with the nametag bearing Sena's name smiled sarcastically. I don't know why.

"Are you Kafka's girl?"

Atthera nodded briefly. She was very lazy to talk to this girl in front of her. Let alone have any business with her. Very unimportant.

"Sorry I'll go first," she said without further ado.

Unfortunately, Sena didn't just let her go.

"I know who you are."

Atthera, who still had her back to Sena, opened her eyes in shock at what Sena said. She neutralized her face as much as possible. She was between believing and disbelieving the girl. Who knows Sena just wanted to scare her, then confess her true self. Even though Sena didn't know exactly what happened. Or maybe she was just making it up.

"What are you talking about?"

Atthera put on an innocent face and pretended not to understand. Sena, who got an answer that was far from his expectations, immediately frowned in confusion.

"Still don't want to confess?" asked Sena, who deliberately wanted to corner Atthera.

"Okay, Sena. Your name is Sena, right? Listen to this. I don't know and don't understand what you just said. I'm just-"

Atthera's sentence hung in the air as Sena suddenly pulled out a black and blue paper with A3 written on it from her shirt pocket.

"See? What is this Atthera?"

Atthera was speechless. Only her hands were clenched tightly. She stared at Sena wide-eyed.

Shit! She thought.

"I've been watching you for a long time and trying to find out about your true self." said Sena as he circled Atthera's stiffly standing body, "It's really strange to see the A3 gang leader candidate looking like this."

Sena cheekily pulled Atthera's chin, "Why Atthera? Surprised how I know about you?" She chuckled softly.

"I'm Sena. What I want, I will get," he said haughtily as he released Atthera's chin roughly. Seeing the interlocutor just silent. Sena let out an annoyed sigh. Calm down. It wasn't the right time to have a one-on-one talk with Atthera.

But just as he was about to step away from the girl whose true identity he had uncovered, Atthera held him by the shoulders.

"What do you want Sena?" she asked in a low voice. Her tone was already different. It was useless for her to act in front of that bastard Sena. From the look in her eyes, Sena knew that Atthera was worried about her current situation. He would certainly make the most of this.

"After you are appointed head of the A3 gang next month. I want you to appoint me as his deputy," Sena answered to the point.

She folded both hands in front of his chest. Looking at Atthera with a challenging look.

"Don't be crazy Sena. I would never do that," Atthera retorted which made Sena's emotions soar.

She walked closer to Atthera.

"Yeah, so what? What else do you think I'm asking for? Money? I'm rich. I don't need any more money. Fame? Hello. Who doesn't know a Sena?" said Sena arrogantly.

It made Atthera even more certain that she would be the most regretful person on earth if she chose Sena as the vice president of her motorcycle gang. After all, it wasn't like she didn't know that Sena was one of the many girls who had a crush on her boyfriend.

"Don't even dream of becoming Sena's gang leader. You don't even deserve to be a member. Do you understand?" said Atthera firmly. Did Sena think she was just a girl he could fool? Huh! But there was one thing Atthera was confused about. Where did that arrogant girl get her A3 card? Atthera looked back at Sena as the girl started talking again. Now she dared to threaten him.

"Oh, it's okay. Relax with me. But after one time you step out of my presence, the whole school will know who Atthera is. Including your girlfriend." That threat sounded like a no-brainer. But, aren't their tons of ways to get Sena to shut up?

"Go ahead. You can tell everyone. I don't care Sena. I don't care," she shook her head briefly.

Sena, who felt that his bait was not working, began to feel uneasy. This was the only way he could become part of A3. He had worked hard all this time. There was no way the results would be in vain.

"But if you're still determined to reveal it to everyone, your wish will forever remain a dream."

The black and blue paper that was still in Sena's hand, Atthera grabbed it roughly, "Not just anyone can get this card," she said. Sena felt like drowning herself in the water right now. How could he who had planned this carefully so that Atthera would feel cornered and grant his request, instead the opposite attacked him?

"Do you want to? Please try your best to be one of us."

After Atthera left, Sena thought hard about what he could do to get into the gang that was so famous in his city. A motorcycle gang that was known for its cruelty as well as the solidarity of its members.

Argh! He wanted that so badly.

But how could he do that? She himself could only brawl. And even then, there were no special martial arts that he was good at.

"Arghhh damn it!" she screamed under her breath as she scooped up her face roughly and then walked away with her feet stomping on the floor.

It had been almost an hour since Sankara sat silently watching Atthera who had been pacing back and forth like a confused person. There was no point in asking. The girl just looked at her for a while, then went back to pacing without explaining what she was thinking.

"Drink some milk, you idiot," Sankara ordered her.

"Att? Drink the milk first," he ordered once again, but Atthera ignored him.

Sankara sighed patiently before speaking again. He had already memorized Atthera's attitude, which was sometimes chaotic.

"So you don't want to drink the banana milk? That's all right. I'll never buy you banana milk again," he threatened, which made Atthera quickly gulp down the banana-flavored milk box on the headquarters table. At the last drop, the girl smiled widely because she was so happy to be able to enjoy a box of her favorite banana milk after several weeks of not being able to taste it. For free, too!

"There's one thing that confuses me San," she said honestly.

She pushed her school bag to the back of the chair. Earlier, after the dismissal bell rang, Sankara had called her to have Atthera stop by the headquarters before going home.

"What?" asked Sankara seriously.

"You must know Sena," said Atthera which made Sankara straighten his back. He was familiar with the name.

"Sena?"

Atthera nodded, "Yes. I didn't have any problems with her before that girl suddenly approached me and threatened me," he said, recounting the incident this morning in front of the school lockers. Sankara couldn't possibly know who the girl Atthera had mentioned was. He knew Sena. The bad girl who was always fighting and looking for trouble with him. But because they were both labeled as bad students, the two of them met often. Whether it was at a secret skipping spot, chasing after school security, or even being caught smoking with the commissary kids.

"She didn't do anything to you, did she?"

Seeing Atthera shake her head, he was a little relieved. Because Sena was not an ordinary girl.

"She didn't do anything to me. But she knows who I am, San." Atthera said with a quite tense look on her face.

Sankara flinched at that, "She threatened to tell Kafka about it," he continued.

"Any reward?" guessed Sankara. As if he knew what was in Sena's brain.

Atthera looked at Sankara seriously, "He asked me to appoint him as vice chairman of A3 after I am inaugurated next month," she replied. A thousand questions and presumptions were in Atthera's head at the moment. About how Sena knew her life. What if Kafka knows everything? Also thinking of ways to make Sena disappear quickly. Her life problems are increasing with the presence of Sena.

"You definitely won't believe what I'm saying," Atthera said, making Sankara confused again.

"Believe it. Because I know exactly Sena's nature," replied Sankara.

Suddenly Atthera stood up and put her mouth to Sankara's ear.

"Sena managed to keep the A3 card all by himself," she whispered which made Sankara round his eyes in surprise.
