Howls of people could be heard inside the ramshackle tavern, wearing masks and long black coats, bidding with their filthy golds. Even though their clothes were covered with a long hood, their sparkling jewelry was enough for him to notice when they kept glistening in the dark.
"The next item is a slave for pleasure!"
As soon as they saw Khalid, everyone was left flabbergasted by his beauty and oblivious to his gender.
"We will start bidding at $5 million!"
The moment that the auctioneer started the price, all of them began bidding for a higher price, one by one raising the bid like a wastrel without giving much thought to how much they spent to buy Khalid, who was quietly watching them on the stage with a messy appearance yet dazzling beauty, tangled with chains in both her hands and feet.
"Her beauty is exceptional; 10 million gold!"
Confirmed the man.
"Tssk! That perverted baldie, 12 million!"
Shouted the other, while Khalid was silently enjoying the scene.
'Ah~ so this is how people in this world play with their money. This is more exciting than I expected. I cannot wait to paint this place red.'
He thought while Akil was sitting in the bidder's seats.
'It seems like he enjoys it.'
"I don't think what you're doing right now is right either. If you continue to act this way, then I guess you have no choice but to kill me too!"
He affirmed with a highly toned voice.
"Ha! You leave me no choice then."
Akil didn't even flinch when Khalid threw the bayonet at him; instead, he looked straight into his eyes before he quickly caught it and threw it back like a boomerang in the same direction as Khalid, poking the bandit's eyes with a knife.
"Argh!"
The bandit immediately cowers in pain as blood runs down his eyes like a broken faucet.
"Hyung, you must be tired; just leave this work to me."
Akil stated calmly, walking towards the bandit as Khalid lay his back on the wall.
'I'll make sure that this one will not be able to lie.'
He added as he waited for Khalid to respond.
"Do as you please."
It left Akil with a grin on his face.
'Now, where do I start? '
The bandit immediately tried to reach the ax that fell on his hands when Akil dashed right in front of him and quickly grabbed his hair before kicking him right straight to the wall, leaving a big fract on it.
He suddenly felt his limbs crushed while the blood continued to drip down on his head, making his eyes clouded with fog as he felt intense dizziness.
"Can you see what I am holding right now?"
Akil asked, which made the bandit tremble because, no matter how much he tried, he could not see a thing when the blood had completely covered his sight.
'Shi-shit! I couldn't see it! '
He thought, but when Akil felt it on his face, the bandit immediately knew it was a knife.
"It's a knife?! A-a knife!"
He froze when Akil did not answer for a second.
"Sigh, that's right."
He then wiped the blood from his face while giving off a deadly glare in his eyes.
"But it seems like you aren't sure about your answer, so maybe right now, if I ask when this knife will cut some part of your body, you already know the answer, right?"
It left him freaked out; he never thought in his life that he would be intimidated by someone, especially a kid.
'How can a mere kid be this intimidating?! '
On the other side, Khalid was quietly watching the scene, lost in his world.
'Oh, so Akil could speak longer than I thought.'
"Now, if I ask you a question, you're not going to lie this time, am I right?"
Akil surely threatened him, which made the bandit have no choice but to agree.
"Y-yes…"
He smiled, but it made him shiver at his sight.
"That's good-"
"Now, tell me where the kid is—the kid with pink hair; her name was Lilibeth Vilmore."
Both of their faces were serious as they waited for him to answer.
'So, they are after that child? Is this her brother? Fuck, we were screwed!'
His mind was so baffled that it made Akil frown, waiting for his answer.
"What's taking your time to answer?! Trying to make up lies now?!"
Though he could not see everything clearly, the way Akil scratched the bayonet on the mossy wall behind him gave the bandit shivers.
"No-no! I know where the kid is, but I don't know where she is now!"
Both of them gave a deep sigh, even though they knew he would not answer them correctly.
"Am I a joke to you?!"
He tilts his head as he slashes the wooden wall beside him with a blunt tone of voice.
"No! I'm telling the truth; we were only commanded to send her to the slave auction, that's all!"
Hearing his response, both of them looked into each other's eyes as Khalid pointed out a question that made the bandit startle.
"Then, why are we here in the tavern instead of the auction?"
He can feel his gaze pierce him.
'Fuck, I'm doomed! '
Khalid then struts towards them, holding his chin.
"Cat got your tongue?"
He asks as he purposely gets out the knife that is stuck in his eyes.
"Argh! It hurts! Fuck it hurts, it's fucking hurt!"
He screamed in pain as he rolled around the ground, but when Akil was about to stab him on his thighs with Khalid's bayonet, the bandit shouted desperately.
"I'll answer! I'll answer!"
He raises his hands, begging them to stop.
"I-it's for our pleasure!"
He answered, but that made them wonder.
"What is it?"
Khalid asks coldly, but the bandit leaves a grin on his face.
"Ha, you kids don't know?"
He teases, which makes Akil about to raise his hands and slash his throat when Khalid holds it.
"What do you think kids are better for? Hahaha!"
He added, followed by continuous laughter.
It made Akil boil in anger, but he was shocked to see how Khalid froze beside him, gripping the knife in his trembling hands as he emitted the darkest aura that he had ever seen, and before he could even stab the bandit, Akil swiftly held his wrist as he gripped him on the hair, throwing the bandit's on the wall repeatedly until he could never hear a single cracking sound of his bones.
"Hyung..."
He called as it left Khalid in a daze.
When he looks at Akil, he sees him pick up the ax that the bandit had used to kill both of them earlier; now he uses it to chop off his two heads from top to bottom, leaving a smile on his face.
"Don't worry, Hyung, I know she will survive; Lily has been taken care of by the bravest person after all."
He comforted before the place was completely covered in silence.
Present time...
Khalid's face did not show any emotion; he was quiet for the entire time while the people continued to bid for him at a high price.
"Now, who's head will be flying this time?"
