Thanksgiving was just around the corner, and Daisy had just reached her home in Pitești. She was tired due to travelling and decided to sleep for a while before the big night feast. Daisy hadn't recovered yet when Danielle woke her up and asked her to pick up Aunt Celia and his son from their home. While the other relatives were yet to arrive, Daisy was still half asleep and had no choice but to leave. Before she began driving, she came back home as she forgot her keys, and went back to the car. Before she was about to start the car, Daisy went back home again, as this time she had forgotten her wallet and phone.
Danielle thought to herself, "what is wrong with Daisy" – instead told her to drive safely. Daisy reached Aunt Celia's place and left for Daisy's home. On her way back home, Aunt Celia requested Daisy to stop the car as she was in the mood for shopping. Daisy was not pleased, but decided to make Aunt Celia happy, as she hardly got an opportunity to step outside on weekends – Daisy's uncle was hard-working, ending in late nights every day. For the love of joy, Daisy parked the car and accompanied Aunt Celia to the shopping mall. It had been more than 2 hours and Aunt Celia hadn't completed her shopping. Daisy was not feeling very well and asked Celia to go home. She did not stop there. When Daisy pleaded, Aunt Celia noticed that her health was getting worse and decided to get home. Daisy was driving back to her home with Aunt Celia and his son.
The roads did not have enough streetlights, it was completely dark, apart from the vehicle lights that were coming from the opposite direction. When Daisy was just 2 mins away from her home, she was suddenly hit by long iron rods that were inserted inside the pothole in the middle of the dark road, it was damaged due to a recent storm. Due to insufficient lights, she could not see what was coming and her car turned upside down and hit the inactive street pole. Aunt Celia's son suddenly came out of the car and stood up. He started crying, while Aunt Celia and Daisy were still stuck inside the car. The shopping items from the mall were all scattered on road. Daisy immediately called her father George, to pick them up – as both were injured. People started gathering nearby when people found out about the accident.
People started helping them to get out of the car safely and see if any major injury did not happen to them. Luckily, with God's blessings Daisy and Aunt Celia had deep cuts on their forehead, hands, and legs – but no fracture. In no time, George and Marcus came where the accident had occurred collected all the shopping items and placed them in his car. Aunt Celia and his son accompanied George, while Daisy was left alone with only her driving the car back to home – all by herself despite the injuries. Marcus had come along but did not choose to help her, rather went with their father. As always, Daisy was all alone, when she needed someone by her side. She felt guilty about being responsible for the injuries that happened to Aunt Celia. Daisy started sabotaging herself – because she got her aunt injured even if she did not intend to. She spoke to herself in anger, "How could I not see those rods, why am I in such a hurry, if I was not feeling well, I could have taken it even slower. Thank you, God, it was for these deep wounds, else it could have been far more severe than imagined." This was the second time when Daisy had faced a life-threatening situation right before her weary eyes. She could not be more grateful and anxious - all at the same time. She was strong yet very sensitive due to her complicated life. Daisy reached home with tears in her eyes and started crying heavily. She went to Aunt Celia and apologized to her for the injury. It could have been worse, but it was her fault and felt the need to apologize. Daisy was wearing skintight jeans, which it difficult to remove due to deep injuries on her leg. The pain was unbearable. Danielle, who couldn't see her daughter crying told her, "I felt something was wrong with you when you were about to leave the house, but I couldn't see it coming, perhaps I shouldn't have forced you to pick her up. it's my fault." Daisy replied, "I had already mentioned to you, that I wasn't feeling well enough, but who would listen to me?" Danielle helped Daisy to remove her jeans. Later, the family doctor visited them and dressed both Aunt Celia and Daisy's wounds. Daisy was unable to walk as her ankle was hit badly. Daisy had to take bed rest for quite some time, to be back on her feet. Daisy continued her stay at home in Pitești until she was able to walk properly. During her time at home, she started wondering and told herself, "I could have died in this accident, but I didn't. I almost felt that life could be just over then, probably within just a fraction of a second! However, it seems God had a purpose for me. What is that purpose? Is it still mean about revolutionizing the society or my purpose is something else that I haven't thought of?"
At that time, Daisy did not choose to sit idle, instead choose to use her time wisely by reading a book that would increase her knowledge. She explored the financial wisdom from the times of Babylon, that helped them amass huge wealth. She learnt the tactics of how to increase wealth. One week later, when she was back in Slatina – she was assigned to the Maintenance department. Since Daisy's foot did not support her to look around, she was assigned to work in the Maintenance store, where she would be learning about FIFO, Inventory management, GRN etc. David was in charge of Daisy's learning in that department. Being injured, she had to justify her work in that department.
Daisy was learning very well with David, she also talked about her past with the idea of leaving her engineering studies. Daisy thought she was over this heartbreak she did not overcome it when she realized the lost pain she felt again, while she was expressing her story to David. Daisy underestimated her soul's well-being. However, David was someone, Daisy had been looking for – as he had pursued International Business Management – Daisy wanted to pursue it shortly. Somehow, David intuitively understood what Daisy was looking for, and suggested she should read the book The Art of War. David had learnt the art of conflict management too and he wanted Daisy to understand as well. Daisy was always positive about learning something new every day – perhaps it was just 1% of what she searched in her Wow factor. Daisy thought she could leverage this tool to handle conflict at home, however, her presence at home was limited made it tough for her to change things at home. Daisy knew one thing for sure, that anything one learns never goes waste, it comes in handy when you need it the most when you have never expected it. One week went by and the next department she was shifted to was Manufacturing for the next 3 months. Daisy was about to learn how machines and the right equipment help to manufacture cars.
It was the same time when Christmas was nearing, cinnamon rolls and candy canes had become the talk of the town. The streets were decorated with lights and stars. The Cheerful vibes of the festival had spread across the town. This time around, people became friendlier and more open to others than at other times of the year. She used this time wisely to set her eyes on the manager of Lumee that she was repeatedly talking about. Lumee and Daisy were good friends and shared common adventure goals. The only difference was that Lumee talked about everything that came into her mind, while Daisy was all about talking in her mind. Daisy sent a friend request over Facebook to Lumee's manager, Norberto. Lumee did not know that Daisy had sent a request to him, and they started chatting online.
However, there was a Christmas celebration in the company, and every department had to decorate their areas – the best decorating area shall be the winning team. Norberto was not going to give up easily. Daisy came to know from Lumee that he had already left the workplace to purchase the decorating items from the market related to their theme idea. Lumee added that he was very keen on having a party too, where drinks were also welcomed. Daisy asked Lumee, "If he has gone for material shopping, why don't we hop along in their celebration?" Lumee replied, "Not a bad idea, let me give him a call and see what can be done." The phone rang, and Norberto received the message positively and invited both of them to the celebration. Daisy and Lumee could not be more excited. Daisy went home and started searching for that perfect dress to put on, something that looked too fancy but was eye-catching casual. Daisy had put on loose clothes that perfectly carved her figure seeing through the top, followed by Black Skinny Jeans.
Lumee reached Daisy's home and picked her up at the celebration place, where Norberto and his other work colleagues had also accompanied him. Lumee and Daisy joined their celebration. Numerous talks and laughter continued with a lovely dinner. Daisy was flattered by his sense of humour. Spectacled yet cute-looking man. Once the dinner party was over, it was time for departure. That's when Daisy saw a sign, perhaps an omen from the universe – The Checkmate! This made her think, "do I have a purpose now to impact Mr Norberto's Life?" Did it mean Daisy was ready for another love angle in her life? Should I speak about Mr Walter to him?" It was for the better that Daisy decided to keep mum for a while until she fully recognized or understood Norberto. Daisy made sure this time, she wouldn't repeat the same mistakes as she did with Mr Walter. The next morning, on the day of Christmas, Norberto left for his hometown to celebrate Christmas with his family. However, his team was working dutifully to decorate their area, which secured the 2nd position in the industry, for Best Christmas Decoration. Long Holidays began and Daisy was still connected to Norberto through online means, even after exchanging cell numbers with each other. The day of Christmas was over, but the holidays did not. He asked Daisy if she would like to visit Mystic Beach Mamaia with him. It was like a dream come true for Daisy. She hadn't visited any place lately for holidays, ever since things became messy at home. Last she enjoyed her holidays were more than 3 years ago now. Daisy was worried, however, she told Norberto, "I am delighted, that you asked me to join you on this trip, I want to come – but I cannot come due to financial issues I won't be able to pay." Mr Norberto replied, "Don't worry about that, I can pay for you, so come on let's go to Mystic beach and get some fresh air. Daisy could not believe her senses, but she said yes. Daisy lied to Danielle, that she was going on a trip with her girlfriends and wanted to leave early from Pitești, to reach on time for the trip. Danielle wasn't aware of Mr Norberto as Daisy did not want to leave a wrong impression on her. She thought to tell her later once she reached home from the trip. Danielle and her daughter Daisy shared a good bond. Being responsible, Daisy always informed whom she was roaming around with, but this time she couldn't. If she would, her trip to Mystic Beach would have been cancelled, due to an orthodox mindset. Both of them were like friends to each other, who shared each other's pain.
Daisy packed her bag and left for Slatina, where she would meet Norberto, later both would board the bus to Mystic Beach. Daisy was feeling crazy, was she doing something for a man whom she has never known, not even for a second (as she was surrounded by other people during the party celebration)? Daisy was taking a leap of faith in her life because she felt it would do good for her soul. Daisy reached Norberto's place, where he had just landed in Slatina and was packing his bag. Daisy felt an instantaneous sensation, but she resisted it. Norberto came to Daisy and gave her a tight hug. Daisy's heart instantly melted. Norberto again got back to packing his bag, as they had to reach on time otherwise would miss the bus. Once the packing was done, Daisy and Norberto reached for the Bus stop and waited for the bus to come. They had reached quite early, which gave them time to talk with each other and understand better. The Bus that arrived, was a sleeper bus – as it involved travelling long distances.
Daisy and Norberto were sharing the same sleeper cabin, Daisy unaware of what was about to come. Every time, when there were huge jerks on the bus's end – Daisy immediately clanged to Norberto- and he made her feel protected. Again, Daisy was in another world, seeing that they were ticking the boxes that she wanted. As for Daisy's luck was concerned, the trip itself became unticked. Norberto never took her to the mystic beach, instead took her to the cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul. He was a religious person, who believed in worshipping the almighty. Daisy became furious as her trip to Mystic Beach just remained a dream. Again, just like Mr Walter – Norberto used Daisy for his purpose and Daisy felt that something was wrong with this man- that was not what they had decided for the trip. Daisy pleaded to Norberto, let's go to Mystic Beach, it isn't quite far from here. As Norberto would have it, he denied it and tried to control her. Daisy was upset, as it wasn't her money that she was travelling with. She had to stay quiet. They returned to Slatina, as Norberto was not feeling well, and the very reason why he wanted to come back. Norberto promised Daisy to rest for a day, and then he will take daisy to Mount Tampa, a day after his rest.
Surprisingly he took her, on a bike ride to Mount Tampa. Daisy had never been seated on the bike for a long journey. Neither she had been on a trip with a stranger! Just like Mr Walter, Norberto seemed a little off track right from the start, however, this did not let Daisy leave. As she had learned or read from somewhere, for a relationship to be successful, a person needs to compromise. Daisy wanted to challenge herself that she was relationship material and did not want to involve herself in flings for a short time of pleasure. Daisy was testing herself, how she should behave or not – Norberto did not see it coming, he used Daisy to his advantage, where he spoilt her with drinks, rubbish talks, and insanely humiliating people. Daisy wasn't just meant for such degraded gestures. She thought several times to exit from Norberto's life but did not – until leaving from Pitești and this did not happen for quite a long time to come. Daisy was teaching herself the art of sacrifice and how gracefully, one must behave. Daisy had lost the touch of being surrounded by successful people and she truly missed it. She must do something in Slatina, to make herself feel comfortable in her skin. She exclaimed and said to herself, "After all, that's what the world needs, isn't it? Maybe this; not-so-enchanting Christmas was a blessing in disguise, it made me realize the true essence of life – to be your true authentic self, wherever you go. That's the justice one can do to their soul's being!"
