A few days have passed since the Raffles Circus mission. It's has now been officially announced that Yuma is not a Kizoku anymore and Sky took his place. Yumas whereabouts are still unknown.
All teams have finished their missions. Only a few of the teams failed their missions leading them to get stripped off their Shorai rank.
The Kashikoi decides to host a big party in Danketsu Lobby as congrats to the remaining teams. The team captains are also in the party as well.
Everyone is wondering what team Sky was captain of. After all, he's a Kizoku.
"WE DEFEATED RAFFLES! SASAKI, HOMURA, CHERRY! WE DONE IT!"
Kuragami and the other three start cheering deafeningly. A bunch of people around them notice their annoying chants. The team starts laughing. They're relieved that they completed their first mission. They also made a new friend on the way.
"If only Yuuto was here with us. Our fight to the death was fun!"
Kuragami starts to laugh.
"Kura, why are you laughing about that?"
"Because I feel stronger. The more strong people I fight, the stronger I get."
"That's how the world works idiot."
They all look at Sasaki.
"The most efficient way to get stronger is to fight strong people and defeat them. You don't have to defeat them but as long as they make you try your hardest, you become stronger faster."
"I guess your right."
"Not only that but other attributes such as speed, durability and much more becomes better too. We don't have to worry much though. We will see a lot of improvement now on."
"So you completed your first mission then Kuragami?"
The team turns around and sees Kiyoko, Yakone and the twins, Varrick and Pakku.
"Hey you guys! Yeah. Our mission was crazy. We can't tell you what happened though."
Kiyoko is confused.
"Wait, why not?"
"We were told that it's protocol not to tell people about missions. Did you not know that?"
"Um. Kuragami I think your confused."
Sasaki butts in trying to find out what she means.
"What do you mean he's confused? That's what we were all told."
"Well us and everyone else got told that we weren't allowed to talk about Takai level missions only."
Kuragami and his team are surprised. They are questioning if their first mission was a Takai level mission.
"Don't tell me you guys did a Takai mission."
Sky comes to the team and tries to change the topic of their conversation. It's quite like Sky to eavesdrop.
"So you four. How are you liking the party."
"Wow. Your team captain was a Kizoku as well. That explains a lot."
Cherry walks up closely to Sky with a terrifying look on her face.
"Hey Sky, did you know that our first mission was a Takai level mission?"
"Ummm. Yeah?"
Cherry tries to punch Sky but Homura blocks it for him.
"It makes no sense. Why was our first mission the hardest out of everyone's?"
"It's because you had two Prodigy Disciples on your team."
Kuragami's team and Katara's team are confused.
"Don't worry. Look, the Kashikoi are about to make a announcement. He's going to tell you guys about the Prodigy Disciples."
Kuragami grabs a sugar waffle from the table next to him and starts eating away.
"May I please have everyone's attention!"
Everyone looks to the stage where the Kashikoi is making an announcement.
"Now the other four Kashikoi and I want to congratulate all of you for accomplishing your first mission. There's many more challenging missions to go. But I notice some of you have been wondering, why is a Kizoku here?"
Everyone looks at Sky.
"It's because he was captain for one team. And yes, Kizoku only accept challenging missions. The team he was captaining had a Takai level mission and they had to deal with a Kyōteki Disciple."
Everyone in the lobby is shocked. They wouldn't believe that for someone's first mission, they had to fight one of the strongest rogue disciples.
Just like Disciples have their ranks, Shorai, Nakaba and Takai, Rogue Disciples have their ranks. Teikyoi is equivalent to Shorai, Kiken is equivalent to Nakaba and Kyōteki is equivalent to Takai.
Then there's the Ten Yugai. They are equivalent to the Ten Kizoku. All twenty of them are the strongest fighters and when one from each group clash in a fight, most of the time it's felt around the whole world.
"But that's not important right now. As some of you may noticed, there's a table next to me with 5 armbands different to the ones you normally have. These armbands are given every year to 5 new selected Shorai only. They have the unity symbol on them to show that you Shorai will grow stronger together. The 5 selected Shorai will be called, The Prodigy Disciples."
"So that's what Sky was talking about. Then that means, two of us will be getting an armband."
Sasaki smiles. He believes that he's the strongest out of his team meaning that he will get one.
"These Disciples are selected by how strong they currently are and how much potential they have. I am now going to call your names from 5th to 1st. And may I tell you, they were chosen by the Kizoku, Kiyoshi."
The crowd starts to get excited. This means that a Kizoku has acknowledged their strength.
"So may the following people come up on stage and receive the headband. You may also stay on stage so one of you can give the people a few words."
Kuragami starts to get enlightened.
"The 5th Prodigy Disciple, Isamu."
Everyone starts clapping and Isamu goes on stage. He takes the armband and puts it on his left arm.
"The 4th Prodigy Disicple, Hoshiko."
Everyone starts clapping and Hoshiko blows kisses to everyone. She puts on the armband and stands next to Isamu.
"The 3rd Prodigy Disciple, Sasaki."
"How the hell am I not first? Dammit!"
Sasaki walks up onstage with a screwed face. He wears the arm band and stands next to Hoshiko.
There's two armbands left.
"The 2nd Prodigy Disciple."
The whole crowd starts to get nervous. It could be one of them that could be a Prodigy Disciple. They all think that if your a Prodigy Disciple, your automatically labelled as Top 5 strongest out of all of them.
"Kuragami."
"Wait, me?"
Sky, Cherry and Homura smile. Katara congratulates him. Yakone gets jealous.
"Hey guys, I'm 2nd!"
Kuragami laughs and walks onto stage with a big smile. He puts on the armband and stands next to Sasaki.
"No way this idiot is ahead of me!"
Sasaki is triggered.
"Hey Isamu, Kiyoshi knew I would've beaten you. That's why I'm above you."
"Kuragami you little bitch!"
Kuragami smiles.
"Now the 1st Prodigy Disicple."
Someone starts walking to the stage already.
"Daku."
The whole crowd is shocked. Daku is known for being strong and ruthless. Daku was already walking on stage. He was also known for being cocky like this.
Everyone can sense the dark aura around him. It's significantly stronger than everyone else's. They all know it's reasonable that he's first.
Daku puts on the armband and stands next to Kuragami.
"Kuragami?"
Kuragami looks at Daku.
"What?"
"Never mind. I don't sense anything special from you. All the rumours about you are probably fake."
"Rumours? What rumours?"
"Like I said never mind."
Cherry starts wonder what's so important about this.
"Hey Sky? What's the big deal about these Prodigy Disciples anyways?"
"Well. It's a good way to persevere you guys into trying harder. And they're worth more points."
"What?"
"You will find out later on Cherry. Don't worry."
"If you say so."
She puts a lollipop in her mouth.
"Now. Your probably thinking, what's the point of labelling them Prodigy Disciples? It's because of a event that's gonna happen soon. The event called, The Shorai Skirmish."
The whole crowd starts speak to one another. What is the Shorai Skirmish and what is it for?
"Silence please!"
Everyone turns silent. The Kashikoi sighs.
"Everyone here will fight in the Shorai Skirmish. Everyone here will be sent to one Island. You will all be in your teams and fight each other."
Cherry turns to Homura.
"Why are we fighting against each other?"
"I'm not sure."
"Now you're probably wondering, why are you guys going to fight against other teams? It's because we need to figure out the top 10 teams of your generation. And it will give you a better chance of being promoted to Nakaba. The top 10 is the ten teams with the most points. You get points from defeating a enemy."
"Nakaba huh? The rank you get after being promoted from Shorai."
Kuragami starts to get excited. But he's confused to what the Prodigy Disciples have to do with the Shorai Skirmish.
"Hey old man. What do we have to do with all of this."
Everyone in the lobby, including all the Kashikoi glare at Kuragami. It's very disrespectful to call the most important figures of the world something like "old man".
The Kashikoi making the announcement gets irritated but carries on with announcement.
"Well Kuragami, you 5 are worth the most points meaning that everyone will be after you for a better chance at being in the top 10 teams. A much better chance. It's basically guaranteed."
The whole crowd gives the five on stage evil glares. The Prodigy Disciples can almost feel the glares. Cherry and Homura start to get worried about Sasaki and Kuragami.
"You two don't need to worry about them. They're strong. And although your not Prodigy Disciples, your strong too."
"Hey, one of us needs to make a speech right?"
One of the Prodigy Disciples walks to the mic. The Kashikoi turns around and let's them take the mic.
"I don't know why you weaklings are looking at us like your going to beat us. No one will beat us. The only people that can beat a Prodigy Disciple, is a Prodigy Disciple. So don't get your hopes up. After all, you all just got labelled as weaklings."
Everyone in the Lobby starts to get pissed. They all start shouting at him.
"Damm you!"
"You think your so better than us don't you Daku?"
"Go die Daku!"
Daku smiles and turns around. Kuragami laughs. Sasaki, Hoshiko and Isamu look at Kuragami confused.
"Your funny Daku. But what you also did was great. Now I'm the Shorai Skirmish, everyone will be after us."
"That was the whole point. That means more points for us. We will be impossible to beat after all.
"What do you mean we?"
Daku smiles. A Kashikoi walks up to the 5 Prodigy Disciples.
"He means that you 5 will be in the same team for the Shorai Skirmish. Meaning that your teammates will be by theirselves."
Sasaki and Kuragami looks at each other worried.
"That means, Cherry and Homura would be our enemies."
"Yeah it does. But no matter what, we have to show no mercy to anyone. You do know that right Kuragami? Not even Cherry or Homura ok?"
Kuragami remembers when he went all out on Katara. It could've ended their friendship. He erases that from his head and slaps both of his cheeks. His face starts to turn serious.
"Your right. We should show no mercy to anyone."
Kuragami starts to raise his aura. The other four also start to raise their aura. The pressure changes in the room. Everyone is intimidated by the Prodigy Disciples auras.
"It's us vs everyone that stands in front of us guys."
