Chereads / A Disciples Fate / Chapter 13 - The Prodigy Disciples

Chapter 13 - The Prodigy Disciples

The 5 Prodigy Disciples are in a room with Kiyoshi. Kiyoshi is wearing another armband identical to the ones that were handed out to the 5 Shorai yesterday. They all notice that Kiyoshi is a Prodigy Disciple of his generation.

They're all sitting on a couch. There's a table in front of them and behind that table is where Kiyoshi is standing. Daku has his feet on the table.

"Alright guys, since your new Prodigy Disciples, I thought, why not introduce ourselves."

They all nod.

"Great, let's say our names, what element disciple group you are, one fun fact about us and a goal you want to achieve. I'll start. My names Kiyoshi. One fact about me is that I was sent to this world with no parents. And finally, a goal I want to achieve is to get my brother back."

Daku puts his feet on the floor. They all can tell that Kiyoshi's life has been hard.

"Anyways, Isamu your turn."

"Alright. My names Isamu Denki. I am a Thunder Disciple. One fun fact about me is that my dad is a former Kizoku. And one goal I have is to become the strongest Thunder Disciple."

Kuragami starts to chuckle. Then begins to laugh out loud. Hoshiko pinches Kuragami to get him to stop laughing. He stops laughing. Isamu starts to get angry.

"What's so funny you blue haired idiot!"

"Nothing. Just the fact your reaching for the strongest Thunder Disciple. Firstly, you won't be that because we all know who the strongest Thunder Disciple is. Secondly, that just means I'll be stronger than every Thunder Disciple."

"In your dreams blue hair."

"You're just mad because I was going to beat you during the ceremony. Even Kiyoshi knew you would've got your ass beat."

Isamu stands up on the couch.

"Let's fight right now then see who's beating who's ass!"

Kuragami also stands on the couch.

"Fine by me! But this time don't hide behind a Kizoku."

"Kuragami you little sh-"

Kiyoshi slightly raises his aura.

"That's enough."

They both quieten up and sit back down peacefully. Kiyoshi turns his aura back to normal.

"Now next, Hoshiko."

Hoshiko giggles and stands up. Sasaki tells her there's no need to stand up and she gives him a petrifying glare. Sasaki stays quiet.

"My names Hoshiko Hinode. I am a Light Disciple. One fun fact about me is that I am the only person my age that can use light travel. Even if it's not for very long. One goal I want to achieve is to become the strongest female Disciple."

"Alright nice. I'm sure you will become the strongest female Disciple one day. But you never know, the strongest female Disciple in the future might be the strongest Disciple."

"Yeah. Maybe."

She sits down.

"Sasaki, your turn."

"My names Sasaki Bushida. I'm not from any element disciple group. One fun fact about me is that I was born and raised outside the five sections. And I only have one goal, to become the strongest swordsman."

"Cool. I personally know a swordsman. It's gonna take a lot of work to surpass not just him, but all the swordsman's."

"It doesn't matter, I will surpass them."

"I know you will. Anyways, Kuragami, it's your turn."

Kuragami chuckles. He stands up and jumps on the table. He faces the other four while his back is turned to Kiyoshi.

"My names Kuragami Nozomi! I'm a Ice Disciple! One fun fact about me is that the Shadow Disciples are after me for some reason I don't know. And my goal is-"

They all stare at him in interest. Kiyoshi smiles.

"To become the strongest Disciple of all time!"

Isamu scoffs. Hoshiko lightly claps.

Daku stands up.

"All that talk about you being the strongest makes me sick. Let me enlighten you for your harsh reality."

Kuragami sits down on the table.

"My names Daku Anzhong. I am a Dark Disciple, the worlds most ruthless element group. There are no fun facts about me. And my goal is to become the strongest Disciple of all time. So sorry Kuragami but that title is already gonna be mine. Unless you wanna fight right now to see the distance between your strength and mine."

"Fine by me. The last guy that challenged me was going to lose but he decided to hide behind a Kizoku. Now tell me. Do you want to go through that embarrassment?"

"I didn't hide behind a Kizoku!"

"It doesn't matter what happens, no one's stopping me from beating ur ass Kuragami! You need to know your place in this world!"

They both go face to face with each other. Kiyoshi claps his hands as hard as he can.

"Alright guys that's it. I'll gladly beat you all up, don't force me to. Your Prodigy Disciples, you don't fight each other, you help each other. Make sure you all grow together."

Daku, Kuragami and Isamu all sit down.

"Thank you. Now I have to give you guys some rules that you need to follow before the Shorai Skirmish. And rules for the Shorai Skirmish."

"Oh I forgot about the Shorai Skirmish. All of this points thing is confusing."

"Don't worry Kuragami, I'll explain everything as much as I can. Okay?"

They all nod their heads.

"So these are the rules you guys have to follow before the Shoria Skirmish. After I tell you these rules, I'll tell you everything you need to know about the Shorai Skirmish."

He pulls out a sheet of paper from his pocket.

"Rule 1, Don't talk to any other Shorai meaning that if they aren't Prodigy Disciples, you can't speak to them."

"What? So I can't speak to Cherry or Homura?"

"You can't speak to them no matter what."

"What if I need to speak to them to tell them I can't speak to them?

"No."

"But I-"

"No!"

"Okay fine."

Kuragami crosses his arms.

"Rule 2, no attacking or sabotaging other teams. So pretty much don't have anything to do with any of the other Shorai."

"What if we need to go toilet and someone goes to the same toile-"

"Shut up Kuragami!"

They all say that in unison.

"Okay sorry. No more questions."

Kiyoshi sighs.

"Rule 3, the final rule, you can't go back home until after the Shorai Skirmish. Meaning that you have to stay here in Danketsu City."

"So we're staying in this hotel? Cool."

"Yeah. Anyways now I'm going to tell you guys about the Shorai Skirmish."

They all sit forward getting theirselves prepared for all the information.

"So, the Shorai Skirmish is a way to see who the top 10 teams are. The top 10 teams are decided by the total amount of points the team gets. You guys are in a team together for the Shorai Skirmish but you will be getting points for your original teams."

They all seem worried but Daku seems relaxed. Daku sits back, puts his hands on the back of his head and crosses his legs.

"So this is how the points will work. There's thousands of Shorai which all all worth points. Everyone in the Skirmish wears a high tech bracelet with some of their own aura in it. The way you get eliminated is if your aura gets low enough to a point that you can barely fight. The bracelet will be destroyed and the aura goes inside the bracelet of the person who defeated you. The bracelet won't get destroyed any other way since it's a very sturdy bracelet made out of a certain material that was created by one of the most skilled scientists in the world."

"Cool!"

"Yeah. Anyways, every Shorai is worth 1 point so every time you defeat someone, 1 point will be added to your teams score."

"But what about us?"

Sasaki heavily looks at Kiyoshi.

"It was implied that our points would be different. So, how much points are we worth?"

Kiyoshi let's off a smile.

"Your worth 50 times more points than everyone."

All 5 of them gasp. Daku stops relaxing and let's off a menacing smile.

"So we're worth 50 points? That's pretty much a automatic win. Everyone will be after us. And that's a big disadvantage points wise. Everyone else has 250 more points to earn."

"Maybe. But that's whole point. I chose you guys as Prodigy Disciples to help you guys release your untapped potential. And this is the perfect way to do it."

Kiyoshi scrunches up the sheet of paper and throws it in the bin.

"You know what guys? It's best if I don't tell you the rules of The Shorai Skirmish. Just do whatever you want. I doubt what you will do is against the rules anyway. Just make sure you don't kill anyone."

Kiyoshi laughs. Hoshiko is not impressed.

"That's not funny!"

"Sorry my bad."

Kiyoshi stops laughing. He looks at the door. Three seconds later someone opens it. They all look to see one of the Kashikoi walk in.

"Hello young Shorai. I think it's appropriate if I give you my name before you head off. My names Genji, just Genji. As you already know I'm one of the Kashikoi."

They all greet the Kashikoi in a respectful manor.

"Now congratulations for becoming Prodigy Disciples but I didn't come here to talk to all of you. I came here for Kiyoshi and Kuragami so can the four of you leave please?"

"Wait for me outside guys."

"Ok."

Hoshiko pats Kuragami's head and leads the others to the way out.

The four leave without a doubt and they wait outside the building for Kuragami.

"Kuragami, how have you been?"

Kuragami seems nervous. He never gets nervous.

"I've been good. All this Prodigy Shorai Skirmish stuff has got me excited. I think I'm ready for it."

"That's great to hear. Firstly, I would like to say sorry for your loss. Losing your father at such a young age must be very hard. After the Shorai Skirmish, we will host a big funeral for him funded by the Disciple Regiment as he is a individual who has helped us a lot in the past. He is a important figure after all.

"Okay. Thanks. But what about my brother? Will he be able to come?"

"Um. I am not sure at the moment. We don't even know his whereabouts. It's up to him though. Honestly."

Kiyoshi notices that Kuragami felt down after hearing that.

"Listen Kuragami, I'm close with Yuma. Knowing him he's perfectly fine. He's smart and also one of the strongest people I know. I know for a fact that he's fine out there."

"Yes you heard Kiyoshi. Now if your brother ever communicates with you, make sure you let us know ok?"

"Okay."

"Great. Have a nice day Kuragami. You too Kiyoshi"

Genji then leaves the building. Kiyoshi and Kuragami are by theirselves.

"Hey Kuragami, if Yuma ever contacts you or talks to you face to face, make sure that you don't tell anyone other than me. Ok?"

"Why?"

"Because they want Yuma to go down. They think it's not safe for him to roam free but you don't have to worry about that."

"Why not?"

"Because I have it all under control. Plus, Yuma told me to look after you while he's gone. He's my best friend so I thought why not. I'll protect you with my life since that's what Yuma wants me to do. If you need someone to trust and listen to you, it's me."

"Thank you Kiyoshi."

"Also if your team comes first in the Shorai Skirmish, I'll train you for a few months or so."

"Really?"

Kiyoshi nods.

"Your the best Kiyoshi!"

Kuragami runs out cheering. The other Prodigy Disciples are confused to as why Kuragami is this happy. Sasaki walks up to him and grabs him.

"Why are you cheering and jumping all around the place?"

"Hey Sasaki! Let's win the Shorai Skirmish!"

"That's what I was already planning to do."

"Let me rephrase myself then!"

Kuragami let's of a big smile.

"We're going to win the Shorai Skirmish!"
