I woke up to a strange dark place. I thought I was still dreaming but I found many of my classmates lying around me.
I saw that Sasaki-san and Yabuki-san were already awake and were trying to wake up Anna-chan.
At first I was alarmed and worried about the situation but I decided to wake up the others first.
As expected, everyone started panicking after finding themselves in this ominous and unfamiliar place.
Fortunately, Souta-kun managed to bring the whole class together.
Amaterasu-san, the class representative, also helped in calming everyone down which allowed us to have a productive conversation instead of worrying aimlessly.
I noticed that Yabuki-san, Sasaki-san, and Anna-chan were once again, far away from the group. I wanted to call out to them but Amaterasu-san already beat me to it.
That was when we heard an ethereal-like voice saying that we must save the other world.
I lost consciousness after that and woke up in another unfamiliar place.
By the time I was awake, Amaterasu-san was making a troubled expression while looking towards the open door that led to a hall.
On the hallways, I could see someone's fading back as they kept running further and further away.
"Ah, shit... that bastard must know something!"
The one who said that was our plump classmate whose name Nagamoto-san. With a frustrated expression, he also ran towards the hallway.
"Wait, Nagamoto-kun!"
Amaterasu-san called out to Nagamoto-san but the latter ignored her and kept running. Looking around, I realize that we seem to be in some kind of dungeon or basement.
Also, the distinct trio; Sasaki-san, Yabuki-san, and Anna-san was missing.
BOOM!
"Kyaaa!"
The room started to violently shake, making me inadvertently scream. Small debris and dust fell from the ceiling, making me quite worried that the ceiling might fall on us.
Souta-kun's broad arms suddenly wrapped around me, which made me feel somewhat safe from the terrifying quaking of the room.
Rumble... rumble... rumble...
Soon, the vibration stopped and all of were covered in dusts.
Everyone seems to have already woken up and was confused and terrified of the current situation.
One after another, they started panicking and pushed each other as they hurried for the exit which was the door that led to a long hallway.
"Wait everyone!"
Amaterasu-san called out again but her shout was unheard as half of the class started shoving one another while rushing through the hallway.
Some got hurt and the weaker girls were trampled on.
Just as half of the class remained quiet inside the room, Amaterasu-san and Souta-kun tried to calm and to everyone else.
Takenaka Aira-san, the leader of the girls in the class also helped in calming down her friends and other classmates.
I followed their example and wanted to ease some of my classmates but then a magical thing occured.
A video-game like screen opened and made me choose a class.
Souta-kun got a mythical class called, [ Hero ] while Amaterasu-san received a legendary class called, [ Ronin ].
Takenaka-san also got a legendary class but all our other classmates mostly received common to rare classes.
Regardless, everyone felt quite energetic after finding out this game-like element.
But as for me...

Souta-kun suddenly spoke to me.

He tried approaching me but I avoided him. I... I was scared... I didn't know what he would think of me when he found out about my class.

Souta-kun seemed to want to say something but then we heard a loud sound coming from the end of the long hallway.
Everyone quieted down and looked towards the direction of the hallway.
Soon, we heard some distant screeching noises which made us feel alarmed and distressed.
"HELP AHH!!"
I heard a familiar voice. I think it belonged to one of our classmates who rushed outside earlier.
Pretty soon, a familiar male student entered the room and hurried shut the wooden door.

He was gasping for breath while looking like blood was drained from his face.
"Oda-kun? What happened-"
I wanted to ask what was wrong but then claws pierced through the door.
"Hiiiee!"
Oda-kun immediately jumps away from the door, making him stumble to the ground and continued to crawl backwards.
He looked extremely frightened but I no longer had the chance to ask him anything as the wooden door was immediately broken through.
That was when I realized what he was afraid of.
Three green skinned with humanoid physique monsters entered the room. They had ugly faces while three of their finger had the sharpened claws in which they used to easily destroy the door.
"Krieee! Kriee!"
"Kriee!!!"
"Krieeee!!"
We finally recognized the source of those screeching noises. As it turns out, it came from these goblin-looking monsters.
Everyone stood, completely stunned.
Only Amaterasu-san glared and looked at Oda-lun who was on the furthest behind us.
"You led them here!"
"I-I'm sorry! I didn't know what to do!"
That was when Honoka-chan, one of Takenaka-san's followers, shouted vehemently towards Oda-kun.
"You fucking idiot! Why did you-"
Chuck!
For a moment. Everyone was frozen in shock.
Honoka-chan was unable to finish her sentence as a claw of the goblin pierced her head.
"Kriee!! Kriee!!"
It withdrew its arm and licked its blood stained claws.
Thud.
Honoka-chan's body fell powerlessly to the ground. Her head soon made a blood puddle.
"...Kyaaaaaaahhhhh!!!"
Just like that, all hell broke lose.
The three goblins started going after the girls and everything was happening too fast for me to process anything.
Souta-kun wrapped his shoulder around me and said, "Ayano... you must do whatever it takes to live."
After saying that, he and I moved through the chaos and reached the hallway.
"Ayano- you bitch! don't leave us!"
I heard the cries of my classmates but Souta-kun covered my ears.
However, just as we were running through the hallway, Souta-kun suddenly tripped and fell.
"Souta-kun!"
I wanted to help him up but it turns out that one of the goblin grabbed him by his ankles.
For the first time in my entire life, I saw Souta-kun make an angry and frustrated face. He began to kick the goblin with his other leg.
"Let go of me! You fucking piece of-"
"Krieee!!!"
The goblin chuckled while feeling immune to Souta-kun's kicks.
It disgustingly licked its lips and grabbed Souta-kun's other leg and pulled him closer to itself.
That was when... I noticed this large membrane hanging on the crotch of that monster.
I almost puked in disgust but again, I remained still.
Souta-kun's face became white as sheet when the goblin placed its genitalia between his legs and directly on his crotch.
"N-no... NO!"
Souta-kun shouted in despaiar struggled to get up. That was when some figures passed by us which I think were some of my classmates.
But again... I couldn't do anything but watch.
I didn't understand anything anymore. I wanted to help Souta-kun but my legs were trembling. I couldn't move a single inch from the place where I was at.
I think... I think I was afraid...
But my desire to help him conflicted with my cowardice, resulting in my current dazed behavior.

"Ayano! Help me!"
Souta-kun pleaded with tears falling down his cheeks.
The goblin held Souta-kun's two arms together, with one hand, while slowly using its other hand to rip his pants.
When I heard Souta-kun's desperate cry, that was only when I regained control of my body.
I approached the goblin and tried to push away its grip on Souta-kun's hands.

Perhaps it was annoyed, All that I knew next was the pain that knocked out the air out of my body.
I dropped to the ground after receiving one of the most painful hits in my life.

The feeling of pain, nausea, dizziness, and lack of air made me want to faint.

But Souta-kun's voice helped me stay conscious.
Getting up from the ground, I saw that Souta-kun's entirepants was ripped off including his underwear.
Seeing his treasured thing was the last thing on my mind while he looked at me with a pained expression.
"Ayano... leave! ...Leave!"
But I couldn't...
"N-no! I won't abandon you!"
"I said LEAVE!" Souta-kun shouted in rage while looking at me in anger.
...This was the first time I have ever seen that look on his face.
And this was also the very fist time that Souta-kun shouted at me.

Again... I became frustrated and undecided.
Do I go?! Or do I stay?! But even if I stayed, I wouldn't be able to do anything!

The goblin made a screeching laugh while continuing to thrust his waist towards Souta-kun.
And that was it.
That was when my body began to move backwards.
Without looking back, I began to continue towards the hallway.
Step! Step! Step! Step!
Accompanied by the sounds of my feet, I sped through the hallway, trying my best not to look back.
I can't believe it.
I'm actually abandoning Souta-kun...
I abandoned the person I love...

Warm tears trickled down my cheeks as I began mumbling my apologies.
I was in a wreck of emotions that I didn't even know what to feel right now.
I kept apologizing even if the person couldn't hear me.
Eventually, I reached the end of the hallway and found out that we were inside a spacious building.
Destroyed walls, pillars and large stone debris could be seen from around us.
Not only that, but puddles of blood and corpses decorated the entire field. It felt like going through a horror house.
Except everything was real.
